    This is a really cool series and very easy to understand. I DO have one request: please add the subtitles (ondertitels) into the youtube system as well. You have done an excellent job of showing your own visual subtitles, but these can not be utilized by several things in the same was the digital subs could be. Like for blind people that use various software to "read" the subtitle stream. Or people like me that run the LLY plug in/ Chrome extension (Language Learrning for KZread) which allows me to click on words to pull up definitions, translations, derivations/etymologies, or to save words and phrases that I want to study later. It also adds auto-pausing and navigation to next/previous sentences with a single tap. Or people that are trying to learn Dutch that have a different native language than English. We would all be helped tremendously helped by adding the NED subs into the normal subtitle place as well.

    Alter Verwalter: Ich bin deutschsprachig, süddeutscher Raum. Ich habe mir das zuerst nur mal angehört und dann nochmals mit Untertitel angesehen. Das sollte ja leicht zu verstehen sein, denkt man , ja denkt man. Ist wirklich schwer.

    Hi! If you want, you may slow down the speed of the video. Hover your mouse in the center of the playing video and click on the Settings icon, which resembles a gear. In the menu, scroll to find Playback speed and click it. KZread gives you eight options for playback speed. :)

    'Great' wordt hier in het Nederlands niet vertaald naar 'groot'. Dat is alleen het geval wanneer iets letterlijk groot ('big'/'large') is. Hier kun je dus het beste zeggen: 'Dank u wel voor deze geweldige video'. 'Geweldig' betekent ook 'great', maar dan betekent het meer iets als 'fantastic'. Ik hoop dat ik je hiermee vooruit help :-)

    Yeah you can totally hear that Midwest “don’tcha know” accent :) but overall it almost sounds like backwards English lol

    Why do some of them speak with a strong American R sound?? Is Dutch English?

    That’s called the Gooise R, it sounds exactly like the American R, except they only use it when the R is at the final position of a syllable. Most young people speak that way (the host doesn’t though)

    @@goodull British people don't even have this R sound and they never pronounce the 'R' at the end of words! They would be quite confused.

    hey I have a question- I have been using a language app called duolingo but it rarely teaches me grammar. Can you PLEASE explain to me basic sentance structures? it seems kinda mixed up and it's highly confusing. Please help

    Students find the word order hard. For example: If I go to school = Als ik naar school ga Most beginners would say: Als ik ga naar school

    Nog een vraag.. 'Voor mij is het overkomelijk, dus dat scheelt weer' kan je zo verstaan? 'Ik kan het overwinnen, dus ik heb geluk gehad.' Het woord 'schelen' heeft toch veel betekennisen..!

    In de zin 'We hebben er best veel weekendtripjes gemaakt', betekent 'best' hier zoals 'willingly, gladly'? Nederlandse bijwoorden zijn moeilijk om te leren..!

    I would say best veel here just emphazise the word veel ( a lot) So best veel would be like ( realy a lot) of weeekendtrips... It emphazises the word veel ( a lot)

    ik vind het video een beetje verwelend omdat alle mensen het zelfde zeggen en alle studenten zijn. Waar zijn de anderen mensen in de verschillende leeftijd de mischien andere zaken ontberen? Ik vind het ook heel moelijk te begrijpen dan de mensen spreken heel snel.
