This is a very cliché opinion. Dutch is way different from English too. It may seem that they're similar, but actually, we're talking just about a few common words and a few common roots, but nothing remarquable. French and Dutch have some similarities too for exemple. So Dutch does not only have a relationship with German and English. In conclusion, when it comes to grammar, pronunciation, and more advanced/specific vocabulary, oh boy. Dutch is a whole different world.

English & Dutch are the prettiest languages ever in every way, but all Germanic languages are also pretty tho, and some of the Latin languages are also pretty! I never thought I would ever say this, but sometimes I even feel like Dutch sounds even better than English, especially the way some (that have a soft G) pronounce words like pijn and mijn and zegt and brand and the words with E / EE in them etc - I could listen to those sounds on repeat... Even though English is poetically perfect and with mostly pretty words and so refined (well, Dutch is too, actually) but, it’s like Dutch has one extra ingredient in the pronunciation that makes Dutch sound very, I don’t know, I can’t even find the word... And, it’s like the perfect balance between French accent (if French didn’t sound nasally) and American accent - I should have started learning Dutch a long time ago... I guess a word that would describe Dutch is hot, and I never thought I would find languages that sound hot, until I heard songs in Dutch... I wonder if most people ever realise how pretty and hot Dutch sounds / is... Anyways, the big term love only reflects me the only lovable being, and the word like must be used instead - only my protectors & I can use the word love and other love related terms!

  • @FrozenMermaid666

And, another language that has a similar effect on me as Dutch is, OId Norse, which also sounds very hot, like, in the songs Troll Kalla Mik and Gleipnir by Skald... A voice can also influence the sound of a language, so it also depends on one’s voice - and also on accents / pronunciation... And, one tends to focus more on the voice than the language itself, but if one hears something in Dutch pronounced by someone with a soft / good-sounding voice and with a pretty accent, like, in the songs Vuurwerk and Boos Op De Wereld and Beter Zo, then he will like Dutch...

Hard question to answer. For speaking and writing, my fav language would be Dutch because it is my native language. My fav content is in English, so that should matter too. But when it comes to making sense, being relatively easy to learn, and having the most beautiful egalitarian idea behind it, it has to be Esperanto.

Alles in Engels is nie goed nie. Waarom is Afrikaans nie officieel in Namibië nie?

Mijn favoriete vreemde taal is Frans.

I think you could take some pointers from Easy German on how to edit make the clips so they don't come out sounding so awkward. Like if you organize the video into segments related by topic, you can cut between different people answering the same question, which avoids the awkward pauses between the questions and answers, and avoids hearing the same question being asked numerous times. And regardless of the order of the clips, you should cut out the responses where the respondent didn't really have anything to say. That said it's nice to see a start of an Easy Dutch series. Looking forward to see how the series grows in the future!
