I actually legitimately like the show so far. Laurence Fishburne, Ed O'Neill, Jackie Rivers, and Cleopatra Coleman all crush their roles as Doc Rivers, Donald Sterling, Shelly Sterling, and V Staviano respectively. I thought the show itself is pretty engaging, and does a good job just really showing how trashy Sterling and the Clippers organization were at that time and before then. Not sure what Lucy's seeing when she says that Donald Sterling is likeable in the show; the show is going out of its way to show how terrible and ignorant he is. All that being said, I do agree that the cast playing the NBA players is fucking laughable. It doesn't make me want to turn the show off, but it does make for some unintentional comedy lol.

Completely agree bro. Putting the players aside the show was very entertaining. Ed O'Neill and Laurance Fishburne killed it. It really made you hate Donald Sterling and Shelly too.

I watched both episodes.....I thought it was great...Fishburne and O Neil are killing it. And there are moments you see the essence of V 😂😂😂

A good tv show or movie makes you feel immersed into watching it. If the actors look so far off from the real people then it’s almost impossible to be immersed.

Winning Time did a pretty good job, considering they rarely even TRY to match up Black people. They had James Earl Jones playing Jack Johnson for God's sake.

So, in other words, you're unable to watch a mini series unless the characters look like the real person and you can't watch the bad guy because he isn't a bad guy in real life. Yeah, that's the most female take ever.

4:10 -- JJ Redick looks a LOT more like Shaun White these days than even slightly close to Redick. And, the odd thing is that NONE of them can play basketball, not even slightly. They're looking straight down trying to dribble, almost with two hands, it's so bad. Winning Time (the Lakers show) found guys who looked like the guys AND could play.

Ignore this lady. Clipped has great casting on the main characters. The show is based on the main characters. The players are secondary and they are close enough. Fishbourne isn't doing the hoarse voice, but he's got the tension down, and that is all that matters. You'll be glued if you watch.
