She didn't necessarily come to his defense but was more disappointed in the manner of Stephen's response to him and its unprofessionalism. Jason Whitlock perfectly encapsulates modern day conservative and Christian culture, which is to attack others under the disguise of differing view points. Personal attacks bigoted attacks on liberals or people who lean left aren't differing view points. The counter culture of the right is just grievance culture and right wing virtue signaling identity politics.

Anytime Jason Whitlock had to call another person and ask them to vouch for him versus having other people vouch for him naturally, it speaks a lot to his character, or lack thereof. And of course Sage Steele is gonna Sage Steele. So it's "unprofessional" for Stephen A to go at Whitlock the way he did but why didn't she call Whitlock unprofessional for falsely discrediting Stephen A as a journalist and for writing his own book? Whitlock is not really doubting that he played, that is merely trolling. We saw SAS in uniform and there are stats for his final year; albeit, the record says 9, and SAS said first that he played 1 game and broke his knee in two and later said that he played zero games because he broke the knee in three places. The doubt resides with his rebuttals.

IDIOCRACY CONFIRMED. You only confirmed that Starbucks is full of pretentious, brainless dolts who believe anything they’re told - that their coffee is special in any kind of way. Scheming A. Myth has been exposed. Whitlock is sticking with ALL FACTS and MYTH BUSTING, with no profanity-laced tirades that distract from LIES. SAS didn’t debunk ONE MYTH. LIES take the elevator. TRUTH TAKES THE STAIRS. ESPN said he played in 9 games, then SAS himself said ONE, then NONE. SO HE LIED ON HIMSELF?… Blathering Jemele Hill didn’t debunk a single myth about JW’s SAS call out. Truth seekers will be waiting…

Jemele Hill & Dan - two of the best out there. This is really sad. I lived in Kansas from 1999-2001, and back then Jason Whitlock was a local sports radio host, talking about the KC Chiefs and KU basketball coached by Roy Williams at the time. I never heard him say anything about other journalists, let alone other African-American sports media members. And Jamele’s right: he was terrific with his insights & analysis. I was sorry to hear what he’s become.
