    What about custom code on a Freelancer / Agency workspace? And do you really need custom code functionality to add basic things like Google Tag Manager / Analytics to Webflow or is there another option on the free workspace plan as well?

    When looking at the freelancer plan it says "maximum of 3 seats" but at checkout it says that for 2 or more seats you have to buy the agency plan, is this intended or is it a bug of some sort?

    Would someone kindly give me some advice. I am about to put my first ever webflow site onto a site plan, what I would like to know is, can I delete the original design from my workspace or does it have to stay there for the entire life of the live site. If I do delete it, how would I edit it if needed. Appreciate any advice Pete

    Coming from Joomla and a bit of Wordpress - I am still calculating not only the money but also possibilities and what the product really is... I know what I can do in Joomla or Wordpress and you must think the same: hey, I can do all that better, faster, easier, cheaper in production... IMO it's a better deal if you can't code templates even... And being a Webflow/Framer beginner, I must say I struggle with them. I know e.g. Bootstrap but the logics of WF and some peculiarities - sometimes are hard. And the editor itself is not awesome. I LOVE WebStorm, YKWIM...

    It doesn't seem like this video content is aligned with the current pricing plan? On a Freelancer plan I'm only allowed to create 2 pages per website. Virtually that means I can't compete any project for any customer without first signing them up for a hosting plan.

    Thanks for the video Payton. What about the designers going to be selling Webflow templates? Suppose if a person is creating 4 templates to sell on the platform, do they need the premium (Freelancer or Agency plans) for this? Knowing they might not get any sales initially or later. What are your thoughts on this?

    Thanks man, was just looking for this. and tbh its kinda not a beginner friendly service at all. too expensive, In my situation from a 3rd world country, the price is x3 times expensive due to our low value currency and honestly, Learning to code would be more suitable even tho it takes more time and effort.

    Hi Clark, thanks for a such nice clarification between Hosting and Team plans! I have a question, As a Freelancer, if a customer comes to me and he wants to build a small CMS site, So first question is does he have to buy his Hosting and Team plan both? or I as a freelancer use my own Team plan but ask my customer buys his Hosting plan? its seem confusing, because development is not a customers problem that's why he is hiring a us as a developer to develop his site so why would he pay for a tool. To me its like asking our client to pay for Figma our Adobe. and secondly, how we convince customer to use Webflow hosting and its CMS instead of Wordpress?

    I think Webflow and Wordpress are still quite far apart from each other so it's a question of customer needs, you will have to find that out yourself. As for paying for the tool - yeah, well - this is the thing. Think of it. Nowadays a lot of things have gained popularity being a subscription. People generally have mixed feelings, especially old schoolers, I think... I also have problems and can't comprehend when what with Webflow pricing. Being a CMS webmaster, I have doubts. On the other hand, if I learn a bit more how to fiddle with Webflow, it might be an alternative at some times. I feel it might be a version of the service for a full website that is for beginning websites / companies, who don't want to e.g. invest 2-3-4 thousand euros upfront. They take 20 hours of your time, you charge them, add fees, voila - IMO that could be enough for a year or two. And then - who knows?

    But the item limits really sucks, if you’ve 100 blogposts you’re out 100 items. If you’ve 50 products with 10 variants each. You’re out 500 items. That also includes things like individual pages, category pages etc

  • @Sponsi_PL

    You know, Webflow has a Q&A section : ) "You can export your site and host it anywhere you like with any of our paid Workspace plans, no attribution required.‍ Note: Dynamic content must be exported on a collection-by-collection basis and forms will stop working. No, you can only develop websites in Webflow. If you export your code, it can’t be reimported." They say it creates HTML, so I've heard, and you can just upload it, losing forms and CMS capability of course.

    @@petermckinnon386 The two free unhosted sites don't count when you upgrade, I think that's your concern. So when you migrate them to a paid plan, yes, you free up space. But if you rather delete them, you'll have your live websites deleted.

  • @cbraundev

    CMS is like a database. So say you have an ecommerce site, and each store page looks the same but has different content. You can keep that same layout for all those pages but use your CMS to swap out the content, like the name of the item, price, picture, reviews, etc.

    @@cbraundev thx for the reply. I had contacted Webflow support after this query in the comment in here and the gist of what they said is that there are a max of 100 pages on any plan, and each blog page is a cms item. Their cms plan has 2000 cms items.

    Sir I've a doubt When we will handover the website to the client do we need to tell them about the running cost of the Webflow website such as Webflow plans & Hosting Or do we need to tell these things before the website is built?

  • @Sponsi_PL

    @Sponsi_PL

    You pay at the moment of publishing. IMO you don't have to tell them that it's webflow, it costs yearly or monthly... of course, it will be either you or the customer paying anyway but with your fees. Or you can invoice the customer directly via Webflow. IMO it's better to be clear about it and openly say what kind of service that is because if there is a problem or you need to improve / add functions and they are impossible because custom coded then well, it will come out eventually.
