TL;DR: get the next two weeks of "Stormbringer" for easy Spearhead contents if you already have "Dominion". Heads up to all fellow Germans: next weeks "Stormbringer" (released 3rd of April) has the Beast-Skewer Killbow, the following issue (released 10th of April) has the Stormstrike Chariot. Why is this interesting? Because of this: if you have the "Dominion" box, you then also have the contents of both the new SCE Spearhead and the Kruleboyz Vanguard... with only the most minor of proxying. All you need to do is play the SCE speardudes from "Dominion" as the sword unit from the Spearhead, and convert some banner and instrument on to two of the Kruleboy dudes with spear/shield.

I am 99% sure at some point it was said that "Vanguard" boxes will just be renamed "Spearhead". Todays WHC article has a video stating as much, that "Vanguard boxes have been replaced with Spearhead boxes", while showing the current Maggotkin box in screen.

mm what they said was something like "spearhead is the New name for vanguard boxes moving forward" i doubt they would tell all the stores in the world to send them back all the vanguard boxes and replace them with the same content just in a new box. edit: the original text from the article "Cities of Sigmar and Flesh-eater Courts Bolster their Ranks with New Spearhead Boxes 12 Feb 24" "* The new name for Vanguard boxes." i guess they will just make new boxes for each codex like 40k, and have 2 lists for each faction, just like 40k?

@@_stork_ They will definitely NOT call back existing stock, no doubts there! What I could see happening is a slow "rebranding" over time, with boxes produced from now on getting a new look and name while keeping their previous content. Over time I 100% expect a new Spearhead box with each armybook, each replacing the previous box. The only exceptions: the already existing Spearhead boxes (SCE, CoS, FEC).

I've specifically refrained from buying them untill they get rules. I'd be interested in Combat Patrol-style AoS, but I don't need two boxes of random minis just in case.

I doubt on the < 1 hour thing, they said the same for combat patrol and i havent had a game take less than an hour

You can knock out a game fast, if you get Alpha Striked into oblivion

If spearhead will be less than an hour, how fast are war cry games? Like 30mins?

In the video today (March 25 2024) Lewis said that Vanguard boxes will be replaced with Spearhead boxes.

At least there should be less issues balancing big things than in combat patrol, no need for everyone to have a way to kill big things when basic infantry can do it
