I always find it difficult to encapsulate my feelings for each of these films. This one certainly took it up a notch. Supernatural births, imprinting on infants, wolves and vampires fighting....enjoy!

Bella was 17 in Twilight. She turned 18 at the start of New Moon, and graduated from Forks High School in Eclipse. Basically, Edward and Bella meet, and around a year and a half later Bella is turned into a vampire. The brief timeline is: 1 month not being a couple but interested in each other. 5 months as a couple. 6 months broken up and completely separated with zero communication. Three months after they got back together, they got engaged. Two months after getting engaged they’re married. And less than a month after being married Bella gives birth. Hell of a teenage romance.

So yeah, she is kinda infertile...but if she stoped transforming her periods would most likely return along with them aging. So yeah, the boys WERE also weird about her being a girl and stuff, absolutely...but she is also infertile while phasing regularly. Just a fair warning: The CGI on this baby is gonna get wayyyy crazier. I have not read the books, but apparently this is because in the book, the baby has almost adult features as a baby, and growing is just a weird time for her essentially. So get ready for some wicked CGI in Part 2

Bonkers! How I thought about it initially (reading and watching) with the imprinting was Because Jacob is a werewolf, and we think of dogs as being a loyal best friend. not only is imprinting a possibility in a romantic way, but also in just a platonic way. He is loyal to renesme be whatever she needs as she grows. 32:25 Now is it weird? yup As adults? yup Not naive to the problematic tones.

  • @davidenriquez9981

I am enjoying these particular reactions far more than I have any business doing so! 😂 Just briefly, regarding imprinting, it's important not to jump the gun and assume it's something that it isn't. While the books explain it in far greater detail, it's still sufficently (if a bit succinctly) explained in the movies. Basically, the one that a wolf imprints on becomes their sole purpose for living. Regardless of age, whatever the imprinted needs is what the wolf will become. And what's more, the wolf will find the utmost contentment in fullfilling that need. They will never desire anything different from what the imprinted needs from them. As time progresses, should the imprinted's needs or feelings toward the wolf change, then so will the wolf's, in order to remain whatever the imprinted needs. If all Renesmae ever needs of Jacob is to be an uncle or big brother to her, then that is all he will ever be, and he'll be as happy as he could possibly be for it. There are, unfortunately, some downsides to all that, but that's the gist of it.

I laughed so hard at your reaction to Jacob imprinting on Renesmee. You see, in the book, Stephanie Myer *alleges* the bond can be platonic yet there's absolutely no examples of this, and every wolf known to have imprinted has a romantic relationship with the imprintee. They explain it more in Part 2 so I won't spoil anything. However...Meyer did crazy mental gymnastics to justify child grooming. Yikes. It's so bad but the drama is what makes this saga so iconic lol.

I rewatched this saga after nearly a decade and I can say I still totally get it, the ship that is Bella and Edward. Realistic relationship red flags aside, it's a fantasy paranormal romance, a nice escapism. You said it before but you're totally right - I think at the end of the day most people long to love and be loved like this.

The books go into detail about the process of imprinting. They have 4 stages to reach, with the guy starting out as an older brother when she's young, before becoming a best friend until she is mature. Stage 3 and 4 is when it becomes romantic but women don't have an enhanced bond so they can choose to fall in love with someone else. In the book, Bella suggests that her daughter is not only into Jacob, but also one of his friends. It’s a supernatural concept which is quantum and you don’t choose it. And the babe would have been killed by the vulturi or the elves without the protection of this supernatural event taking place.

Great reaction! To clarify it again, imprinting is how the wolves find their soulmate. They would be whatever their soulmate needed at the time. It’s something they have no control over; it will happen naturally when the time is right. So as Jacob had imprinted on Renesmee, he saw what she will look like as an adult. However she is still a baby, so he will act more like an older brother figure until she has reached full maturity before engaging in a romantic relationship. As it’s been pointed out, Bella wanted to experience intercourse while she was still human for she wouldn’t know how she’d feel when she became a vampire. Her pregnancy wasn’t planned for they were unaware that this could happen. That’s why during the pregnancy they were researching all they could find to determine not only Bella’s fate but Renesmee’s as well. And to also clarify, the woman who Charlie is involved with is Sue Clearwater. She is Leah and Seth’s mother, and her husband was Harry, one of Charlie and Billy’s friend who was died from a heart attack during his encounter with Victoria in New Moon.🤵👰‍♀️🤰👶🐺🌄❤️🖤🤎

Welcome to my favorite movie in the entire franchise! I was so hyped to see your reaction to the imprinting lol But yeah, the beginning is just beautiful. I was tearing up then I saw you tearing up and I was like THIS!!! THIS IS THE TWILIGHT FRANCHISE CHARM!!! WE GET INVESTED!!! And I love Bella's preparing to have her first time with Edward, then proceed to cry because she wants to do stuff some more. This is indeed a rollercoaster of a movie, but so good! Charlie is the best. The birthing scene is very agonizing, but some in Game of Thrones are... worse 😂😭 Also look up Renesmee first look before she was transformed to CG. It's horrifying 😂 (And yes, I watched it in the cinema but its been so long I honestly dont remember how I reacted. Well, I read the book first. I guess I was just freaking out 😂 Also this book has Jacob's POV too. And right before he sees Renesmee it cuts to Bella and we dont know what happened until way later when we find out about the imprinting lol Such a cliffhanger!! But in the books he is literally DESPERATE to forget about Bella, but just can't. He goes to town and try to look at as much girls as he can to see if he imprints, but he never does. He always choose the non-healthiest way lol)

It’s funny that you mention game of thrones. I feel like when I watch that I become desensitised to the gore and stuff because it happens so frequently. I don’t think anything prepared me for the movie tho so it hit so much harder than anything I’ve seen in that show 😆😆

@@thecocoacouch Yeah, I guess in GoT you're already expecting the gore but this time it's really out of nowhere and it just escalates lol But the House of the dragon birth in the first episodes literally made me want to skip the whole scene because UGHHHH 😭😭😭 (Btw, idk if you watched it already, but could also be a good reaction series!)

In the book, Bella stayed still and silent partly from the morphine/broken body, but also because she thought of how Edward was when James tortured her. She didn’t want to hurt him again. She kept her reaction to the venom internal to spare his feelings. Later confessed that bit to Carlisle, so he didn’t try to make the change easier on the next addition to their family to change. Also also, what took Jake so long to come outside after the fight started.. in the extended edition we see Edward reading his mind, and he either dislocated or broke something before tossing him across the living room. Needed time to heal before letting the pack know about the imprint.

I was obsessed with Twilight as a kid and your reactions to it has been such a joyride 😂 Ps. Leah was done dirty. There was so much more to her character in the books, like how she's the only female wolf and how she felt like an outcast around all the male wolves, made fun of, struggling with having to hear her ex's thoughts etc.

Edward knows Jacob's thoughts - be anything his daughter needs? Friend, brother, protector. What more could a dad ask for? It goes back to the fact it's fiction & they are "fated" / destined for your soul mate.

Watching you react to the horrible CG baby is what I was waiting for, it is by far the weirdest part of the whole series. Also the reaction to imprinting on a baby. dead.

I had read the books beforehand so I wasn't surprised at Jacob's reaction to Renesme, though I wasn't crazy about the CGI. The birth scene in the book is very intense and I was afraid they would scrub it clean for the movie, but if anything it was even more horrifying...and well done. These movies are like candy to me... not healthy, but enjoyable in small portions.

LOVE that you love Renesmee! I work in healthcare, so I see actual peoples names daily, not just "here is a list of weirds names online" where it seems like it is unlikely anyone would really pick such an odd or seemingly ridiculous name. There are WAY worse "creations" than Renesmee 😂 If no one said Renesmee was a mash up & someone found it in an old dusty book people would not have blinked an eye.

During the honeymoon Bella dreams about having a child not about Edward and Bella having sex. The movie doesn’t do a good job of explaining it but it’s in the books. Also on the beach you can see one of the werewolves playing with a 3 year old girl which references to how one of them imprinted on a toddler in the books lol

I disagree, yes Bella did dream about having a child but that particular dream was definitely more like it shows in the movie. I just looked it up since I had my book out for my previous post. It's on page 106.

I think it is Quill who imprints on a little girl named Claire, and Jacob seems to think that that is messed up which is ironic as he does the exact same thing later in the series

Late af to this video but I died when you said jacob should have been there to see edward hear the baby, bc hes there in the books and toxic jake loses his mind 😭😆 he basically only felt like edward was on his side and that ended the moment edward realized the baby wasnt a monster. He had to leave the house, edward read his murderous thoughts and tossed him the keys to one of the cullens many sports cars. Jacob went to a park and just stalked women trying to imprint on someone. Very in character. Anyway i love your reactions!

also remember imprinting doesn't mean what you think it means he literally says a friend, a brother, a Guardian . that doesn't mean a lover like some of his tribe have imprinted on adults but one clearly imprinted on a toddler which is shown in the movie when there on the beach

  • @abbiejo6822

    @abbiejo6822

Oh no, it still means what he thinks it means. It means a friend/brother/guardian UNTIL the girl grows up and then she’ll just “naturally” fall in love with her “intended” because he’s been everything for her. That’s how it’s explained in the book. 🤮

It's definitely not just a guy thing, that entire scene was absolutely horrific but I at least knew it was coming having read the books 🤣. It's sweet that you were so on board with the love story though. I remember my dad leaning over like "why are they getting married? Do they even like each other?" 🤣🤣🤣 he was teasing but i can appreciate that, especially if i were watching it the first time as an adult who hadn't read the books and not a 16 year old girl who had, the intensity doesn't always as easily come across as passionate and romantic and more....creepy and weird 🤣. Fortunately adult 31 year old me has 16 year old me's nostalgia so can appreciate all sides 🤣. I was definitely more about Edward but to be honest even 16 year old me was like "actually Carlisle though?👀👀👀👀" which I still agree with. Nice beautiful man, more mature..less drama 🤣
