Музыка

The fantastic Rich Renken (‪@richrenken‬) General Manager of ‪@jamestylerguitars‬ recently saw the legend Dann Huff in Nashville. While he was there, he made quite the discovery about Dann's most famous guitar.

Got the pleasure of meeting and talking to Rich through a mutual friend at NAMM. We talked about the Line 6 M series at great length. So much knowledge and experience in the industry, but more importantly a super nice guy and gladly willing to share amazing stories. Very cool to see he was the one to find out Dann’s Strat was a different year than originally thought 🙌

Well even if you had found out he was a '66 that wouldn't be so bad. Because even though CBS took over fender after 1965, they were still using stock parts left over from the pre CBS era. Back at the '80s I acquired a 66 strat that was still using the smaller headstock and had the spaghetti logo. When the guitar tech took the neck off we were shocked to find out that it was a 66. Up to that point I thought I scored on a pre-CBS strat. Still played awesome up to the day that I sold it.
