When Keith dropped McHugh and Chris Rod man its not been the same for me. Love the old KU days!

I got the impression he didn’t like the last question. Many of us have not been huge fans of the latter records which sound less pure and more modern and electronic. IMHO his early stuff is his absolute BEST work, guitar playing aside: the songs were just better. Again in my opinion

man, we all want the old organic Keith back. "Fuse" was the beginning of the end. His new plastic pop sound really sucks.

@Rachel Dickson his last three albums were horrible plastic Pop ..."Fuse" was kind of a transition album between the old and the new (bad) Pop Keith. It's still ok (good songs).... but damn if "evolution" means a move from greatguitar-oriented melodic country Rock to crappy plastic Pop where guitar is just an "effect" ..I'm out,Lady!

That’s sort of what I meant when I said strip away the electronic elements an get back to a band sound... too much hip hop hi hat drum machines in country today lol even on Shania’s up album, programmed drums but they sounded like a real drummer 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m a musician so I like seeing musicians be musicians lol

@Rachel Dickson I’m ALL about evolution. I’ve been a songwriter most of my life. I love artists who push themselves musically and think outside the box. But let’s be honest, the older songs are just better. And when you are a “Guitar Hero” (which Keith undoubtedly is) you expect MORE guitar. I am no way questioning his talent, but let’s face it, the KEITH URBAN is a Machine. A machine that needs to keep producing hits and keeping a lot of people employed. If you anything about the mechanics of the music business and how Artists (like Keith) stay on top, it’s because you lose a certain amount of your original artistry as “The Machine” grows. Hits are expected, and that means having the biggest/chart-topping writers on your new songs. He is a grass roots musician at the end of the day. I’m not saying he needs to go backwards, but some of that organic sound we ALL fell in love with would be nice to hear every now and then. Again this is only MY opinion

@@noworries12 agreed... you could tell he steered the question away from your original question. Probably sick and tired of getting asked that, as I’m sure it happens alot

Yes, I like introducing an artist to a different audience that could then become fans! If you only ever cater to the fan base, how else do you find NEW fans? Right? Cheers Richie!! You always have such wonderful comments. Enjoy Keith’s work!! 🤘🏻
