    I wouldn.t all you get is steam and longer to create smoke and the water will only penetrate about 1/8 in. so it,s a waste of time.

    All the pros says it's a myth to soak wood you create steam doesn't penetrate deep enough into the wood and you actually get more impurities in your smoke if you do that AKA dirty smoke

    I dont soak for a few reasons…1. The more smoke the better for me so would it be easier to burn something wet or dry?…2. I dont do long cooks (Burgers, Steaks, chicken) so the wood definitely would last longer then my cooking and if needed i’ll just replace more dry wood chips…
