I'm a probably INTP (idk) and somehow this happens to me often. As You claimed, when I'm out of my house, and I meet someone I know and then I decide to socialize... I mean, it doesn't have to be about emotions but if you wanna talk about it, I think it's cool. I just want to have a deeper conversation, even if we talk about several topics. Well, actually I don't know how to stop when the conversation is interesting, I use that as a distraction or procrastination, haha. In any case, when I'm in the mood of socializing, it's upsetting when the other person is too much cold, or when they're not even trying to make the conversation to flow. In those moments, I just don't know what to say and it's uncomfortable cuz I'm not sure what would be the best to do. I don't know if I just have to say good bye...even saying good bye is akward.

We could visit a gallery together, get angry at each other while our attitudes don't match, go our separate ways & instantly turn out on the same bench in an hour. I'd definitely vote for such a series. I would even volunteer to share some really funny scenes.
With the INTJ, I'd say more specifically that it's not that I'm upset with explaining stuff to people. I'm upset with explaining obvious stuff to people. And I'm especially upset if I have to explain the same obvious thing all the time, or the person doesn't seem to be getting it after my second or third attempt to try to make it relatable to them. Because on the one hand, I'm probably going to have to explain some of what I want. I can't expect you to just psychically know. (And the people who do psychically know because we're on the same wave length are immediately on the path to friendship). And then maybe I need to adjust my explanation to something you understand better or an experience you've had, so that you can make the leap in logic. But if I've made a reasonable attempt to communicate, and I feel like you're not meeting me halfway, this is just not going to work out. I do not have the energy for this relationship, and you will be cut out of my life.

INTJ. I agree with you. I can't stand when people start drama or talk behind people's backs. It's one of the fastest ways people can lose my respect and trust, because even though I'm not the one they're talking about, there's every probability they are talking about me too when I'm not around. So I'm careful to no longer share important things with them from then on. That said, if I sense something is going on, it will bother me until I figure it out. My intuition is good enough that I can always tell if something is off, but It can take a long time for me to process what I'm experiencing enough to figure out what exactly is wrong or different. Social interactions are already struggle enough without me working in the dark. In those cases, I greatly appreciate someone filling me in with just enough basic info so I can know what's expected of me.

Interesting. I don't know if you know about cognitive functions in MBTI, but I'm an INFP so I have Ne second like you do, except it's backed up by Fi instead of Ti. My sister is an INFJ and we can talk for long periods of time about stuff, but I like to switch topics a lot, and her with her dominant Ni wants to narrow one topic down forever. I get drained after a while. Maybe you match Ti with INFJs, and that's why you can talk for so long? 🤔
@drummerdude514

@@maggieo1683 INFPs are great too! I have a friend who is one and we get along very well. Generally speaking, intuitives are my types of people. The video accurately portrays both INTPs and INFJs and what I love is that they love to have deep conversations. My best friend is an INFJ and every time I go hang out with him we’ll lose track of time and talk for like 8 hours straight! For INFJs, there’s a certain mysteriousness that always leaves me wanting to know more about them, to try but never fully succeed at figuring them out. For an INTP, this can drive us nuts as we try to establish a logical framework to understand things and people and override Fe and Fi with the brute force of Ti. Once we know a few things we’ll continue to refine from there. The dominant Ni of the INTJ draws me to them because it’s a big departure from my Ne. We have the same judging functions (Ti, Fe) but our perceiving functions are the opposite. Because of this, I believe we can see the world in a similar light but we might arrive at the same conclusion in different ways. Ni can be a double edged sword, however. INFJ’s strong intuition doesn’t always make logical sense to me and they can make up their minds about people in ways I cannot comprehend. Once they make up their mind, good luck trying to change it. When an INFJ you may have connected with decides they don’t want you in their life anymore you may get the door slam treatment and be forgotten about forever without explanation. They’ll easily move on and you’ll be reduced to a hollow shell of what you once were before you met them. It’s a problem I’ve dealt with before and am currently dealing with again. 😔

@@maggieo1683 as also INTP I can confirm that Ti we share with INFJ helps us to deep dive in specific topic, even deeper than INFJ do, to the point when INFJ can get exhausted. Whenever I am so interested and told her about my obsession with full of energy, she is like “oh that’s cute” . I even regret that I talk about it sometimes 😂😂😂 Btw she is my best friend and I know that some infps feel deep but express less.
INTP here and that's a very succinct explanation of the people I dislike the most. Unfortunately most of the people I know are like that to varying degrees and it's ok, I can look past it if they have other good qualities, but there's a subset of people that are really all about niceties, gossip, tradition and convention, where it seems everything that matters to them only matters because that's what their social group or society have decided it matters, and they are the sort of people that I won't talk to more than I absolutely must to get what I want from them.
As an ISTJ, what turns me off the most (aka the trait that makes me dismiss automatically potential partners) is not knowing how to discuss like an actual adult. As an INTP, what you said is so accurate. And for the INFJ one, in my friend group we are 2 INFJ, an INFP and me, an INTP. And it's the best group, we all kinda complete eachother. We have a lot of deep conversations, we understand eachother. And, idk, it's just kinda perfect this way.
As an ISTP, I thought the section on my type would be something about being emotionally unstable (definitely a thing I don't wanna deal with), but I hadn't thought of the "not even wanting to try" thing. It's always disappointing and to an extent feels like a personal rejection. If someone wants to give something a try but is anxious about it, I'm more than happy to support them and make the task less daunting. I want other people to feel capable and confident! I was a teacher for almost a decade, I feel as though this is what I have to offer.
As an INTJ, things that really turn me off are: -When people are nosey -People who think its their job to make negative comments about others. Don't you have anything better to do? Like ... Go read a book or something and learn to do something useful. -When people barge into my conversations, there is a polite way to join it. You talking above us or about yourself randomly, isn't it. -When someone gets close to me physically without asking me first. I also don't like people touching me without my permission. -Hypocrites (to many of them)

As an INTP, I will often think more highly of something then I let on. I just really hate being emotional or expressive, so it often sounds like I didn't really like it. I value the words spoken over the emotion behind the words, so if I say "it was good", then that's it, regardless of how I say it.
The reason we INTJ's hate the explaining is because in all reality we've already explained it SEVERAL times and I LOATH having to explain/repeat myself over and over. If I have to repeat/explain it more than twice this means you weren't listening. SO, at that point the person can kick rocks>>>!!! I don't keep people in my life that are another problem to have to fix, I could use that time to get MY stuff done.

I'm generally quite patient in explaining things, as long as people are actively listening. I don't mind clarifying or trying to explain something a different way, because I realize my INTJ/ ADHD brain is basically a dissociated, psychedelic squirrel trapped in a pinball machine. I have to make concessions if I want to be understood. That said, if I don't feel like someone is listening, I won't repeat myself. And if someone tries to talk over me, I walk away.
@irienerd8178

@@KnightsandPages I agree, there is a difference between someone actively trying to understand, listen and grasp; with those people I'm very patient. It is when I can tell they made no effort to listen the first few times that I'm done. This is a huge reason why I've started to make people "tell me what I've just said" and I frequently summarize what I think they've just said so I know we're on the same page. I will admit there are times I don't want to explain it because there's no time and they need to trust me and if they can't do that I walk away.
As an INFJ, my biggest turnoff is actually passive aggression. 😅 My respect for people who can't communicate directly (and privately among the involved parties), instantly goes way below zero.

@@goldink2813 But it is not about confronting and exposing peoples every insecurity just because you can see it. :) Because there is a time and a place for everything - and not everything is your business. What I am talking about are people who have a negative behaviour/arrogance, that directly impacts you. And when you try to make them stop, they draw in the whole office, play the victim, and gather everyone to turn against you. Where I much prefer an open and discreet conversation, only among the parties involved. But you have to respect peoples boundaries as well - or you may actually cause more harm than good. Not everyone wants to be put in the 'victim' box by a stranger, or share their deepest, darkest secrets and insecurities with strangers. The thing is, you never know the full story, unless they tell you. And they do not have to, just because you want them to. So be careful not to let your own ego (your need to be the 'fixer') make you violate other peoples boundaries. Just because you don't see or understand the way they deal with things, does not mean they are not going deep. They just don't want to share it with you. I think understanding boundaries is a VERY important thing to understand. For everyone, but especially the FJ's. Because if used wrong, you will break people rather than help them - just to boost your own ego. And that is the one part of themselves many FJ's are not quite so objective. They love to consider themselves 'truth seekers' and 'fixers', even 'saints'. But they definitely have an ego. And use their 'good intentions' to justify the damage they do to other people.

INTP is accurate. I hate it when some people act like something's wrong with me just because I don't act like them, even tho I'm not necessarily doing anything wrong
INFP is on point. Also, 26 here and Ioved watching MacGyver growing up. Used to get dvds of it from the library, though none of my older siblings seemed to appreciate it overmuch😅🤣
I am an INTJ and actually identified quite a bit more with the INFJ type. I had an experience recently with a girl where I (being emotionally reserved) tested her in our getting to know each other phase. I asked her a rather deep question, one of those that I like to immerse myself in. She just gave me a rather superficial answer and I have to admit that it was a terrible disappointment for me because I realized that in reality she was not a person as deep as I had intuited before meeting her. So yes, being an INTJ I hate superficial responses when it comes to making yourself and your opinions known.
@bernhardt8410

Yeah, I know. There are endless possibilities. In fact I must say that the question was not somewhat controversial, it was rather a more casual one in which I wanted her to give me more details about her way of living at a specific time of the year, you know, just to know her better and make her talk about herself (she's even more introverted than me, a tough bet early on I think). I guess she just had no interest. Our interaction was complicated since the beginning because I never felt reciprocated since I approached her first, but somehow I felt very attached to her. She used to say too much to me without really talking to me. Since we don't really share the same environments within our campus, the only way I was able to get a chance to meet her was by looking her up and being direct, so I guess it was either that or nothing given the situation. Anyway, I once again pushed my own introvert limits for nothing. And to clarify, I had made previous efforts to meet her in the past, this event was just the culmination of a misguided intuitive process, I learned my lesson.

Very interesting and insightful content! It’s always nice to add these kinds of personality tidbits into your socializing arsenal. Also, describing what makes certain people tick helps make more sense of their habits.
As an INTP, I approve this message. This makes SO. MUCH. SENSE. My grand dysfunction is rebelling when someone tells me, "THIS is how people are/you are supposed to act," or, "THIS is the way we have always done it/it needs to be done." On the other hand, I need structure and boundaries in every day life, so I have had to negotiate a balance, even if I feel like throwing up, or throwing on a clown wig and storming off. And the thing is, from an INTP perspective, we actually might be one of the more sociable introvert types if not for worrying about relational expectations. The spontaneous social interactions I enjoy the most, with strangers no less, are when someone randomly comes asking for help problem solving (not a relationship one, though) and my inner creativity gets to have a field day. Our innate curiosity and helpfulness can come out if we can maneuver past the social norms.

I would say this is true for me (not my biggest turnoff- that would be arrogance and narcissism) but it’s more with people I know than strangers. If someone takes me for granted for too long, or fails to reciprocate repeatedly, then that can eventually flip my psycho switch. Once that switch is flipped I’ll calm down but become completely apathetic to that person. Even if I’ve poured months or years of energy into them. Once I get to the apathy stage, there is no going back. Don’t expect yourself from others, it doesn’t end well. - fellow ENFJ

I agree completely with your INFJ description.
Thanks to this video and another thousand... I figured out hundred percent that I'm an ENFP. I tend to take on a thousand projects at once, I do the majority of the day whatever I want, I'm interested in many things and I struggle to focus on one particular path or goal. Indecisiveness is also a natural trait of mine. You cannot imagine how long it took to figure out my type, spending hours and hours watching videos on all the 16 types, their interests, their pet peeves, their fears, their ways of connecting to the world and to you..
The INTJ thing is true, I also really dislike sensitive people. Having a dark sense of humor (as I believe most INTJs do) and being resistant to being insulted most of the time, I cannot handle being around someone who cries at the smallest jab or is instantly made uncomfortable by the idea of something dark alone. Of course this can vary- Being sensitive to certain topics of mental health is understandable. But once I met someone who couldn't even finish listening to a villain character's monologue, because it was about how other people meant nothing to them and it was depressing them. That is a level of sensitivity I cannot withstand.
This is great, can you make a video of the 16 personalities setting their goals, my husband is ISFJ and I am INFJ it was interesting the difference in our goals settings process
I thought i was an intj but watching this made me reconsider lol I could relate to many of the other personalities super well here, while the intj was a little farther from me, but in other skits or videos i see myself in the intj
As an INFP, I do agree I find anyone against my morals unattractive. Depends though. There are some things I can agree to disagree with like politics. My boyfriend (an INTP) & I love debating everything. Yet we can usually get over it very quickly. However the only real argument we had was one that went against my morals. It was early on in our relationship, so I was ready to leave. But he had the perfect apology & was genuinely sorry. Which he sucks at apologies so I knew he was actually sorry when he was able to apologize. Now also finding that what I find attractive is men who respect my boundaries & validate me. Whereas he just finds me not being a shit person & having morals attractive. That & right now I only find him attractive. Anyone else looks at me & I am just like gross. He's just so edgy on the outside but a huge nerd on the inside, that also treats me like a human with feelings, & gets uncomfortable around others yet comfortable with me. So attractive. Fitting my story book narrative perfectly. Meeting my high standards.
Your humor is SOOOO AWESOME!!!!😂😂😂😂

Its funny, but as a truly in and out INFP I actually related also with the INFJ example that you made. It makes me furious when I want to discuss th thoughts and emotions that I live through something and the other half/or person doesn even bother to philosophise about it with me… dang that is something I cant comprehend. I always analyze things, like mostly through feeling and like to talk about it with someone. And philosophing is my go to thing. And yep I’ve done the test milion times in different moods, timings and time frames and always INFP which I beileve to be true because I see myself in it the most. What does this mesn then? Omg yes! As an ISFP art (all forms) is very important to me. I could never be with someone who doesn't appreciate it.
YES UHH I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL ACCURATE
I'm an ISFP but I related so much to ENTJ and INTJ; however as for the latter, I don't mind the challenge of proving the validity of my ideas. to me, in a way, that's the best part, because I'd want the other person to be on board for all of the same reasons that make me excited. I also super appreciated how Frank used the sandbox metaphor to explain how Ne can manifest. As a single minded ISFP, that definitely gave me some perspective and helped me understand that Ne has a form of focus too. I have quite a few high Ne using friends in my life, and the perceived lack of direction annoys me at times--this explanation was strangely comforting and presented something that I could relate to. I related the least to ESTP. Ouch! But in my experience with the ESTP in my life, that's exactly the case. As for the ISFP segment, I relate completely, but the thing that turns me off the most is when people steal my ideas or art style, or try to imitate it. I know some people say this is the highest form of flattery, but to me, it makes me feel like the other person doesn't know themself well enough to just do their own thing. It almost makes me feel like I'm in charge of babysitting them or parenting them through their self discovery, and I don't want to feel that way in any relationship. Thanks for this video Frank!
You were right on about INFP's.
I really resonate with both ENFJ and the INFJ...I recently called off things with this great guy because I didn't feel the compatibility and I keep going on and on about how we don't talk, the last straw being him not even sharing any expression while we watched this football game...at first I thought I was crazy but after the infj clip it's great to know I'm not crazy and that my gut feeling was a real thing...thanks James.
