Waiting to hear from my recruiter about my application then I go to MEPS. Im 17 and still in high school so i dont think theyd send me to basic until i graduate in june but im definitely saving this to know what to bring. Is there anything I should know about MEPS? Im a little anxious about joining but i think its more of a if theyll even let me in nervous lol

Hey, im in the same situation as you are, even though im a woman, im not so nervous though i think im more excited than nervous but i have a friend that went to meps and he told me about it, he said they were brought to a hotel for the night by a bus and had to wake up real early in the worning, either 3-4 AM and went in the same bus to meps, he said it was really no presure and it was verrrry long. youll do more waiting than anything. you have nothing to worry about with getting in as long as you meet their physical standards! I guess the only thing you can be semi worried about when going to meps is taking the asvab, you dont need to have such a high score, 31 being the minimum and 99 the maximum, im sure youll do great! and if youre not so sure you can study for it a bit too, the score you get determins what jobs you qualify for so if theres a job you want, find out what score you have to get so you know if youre gonna have to retake the test. if you have any questions i can try to answer, just let me know!

@@overkill8056 yea I'm a woman too lol! I had to take my ASVAB in school and I got a 45. Do you know anything about physical standards? I'm 5'10 and a little out of shape, not bad tho I can still run and be active just not as well as I had been in the past. I saw somewhere they make you run and do sit ups/ push ups, is that true? I hope you make it in soon, I love hearing other girls wanting to join the same branch I'm interested in !!

@@gabbyjosephinethey won’t make you do the pushups and all that in meps they will just have a typical physical like what they did in high school for sports but yea it’s really laid back
