Add yours in the comments and we'll update this master list 😎 Thanks Auzzam *General* 1) Put everything in writing, do not rely on phone calls as the dealership experience varies greatly. Once everything is writing there is no denying it. 2) Double check tyre pressures once home as they can be incorrect 3) Passenger door closing easily and flush 4) Sportback tailgate closing easily and flush 5) If collecting an older car from the forecourt / used car - double check it has the latest software version with wireless carplay as mentioned in the video. This will also mean you have an updated home screen on the MMI with a favourites screen. 6) If purchasing an older/used Edition1 make sure it comes with the electric seats on the 35tfsi stronic model. If not, negotiate something off the price as this was a mis-build. 7) Double check the ambient lighting is functioning correctly by turning on the headlights and holding you hand in front of the rear view mirror from the outside (it has a light sensor) 8) Check the car alarm, not specific to the A3 but some really good advice generally. You can probably test this by leaving the windows down and waiving your hands inside the car. *Body Panels* 1) Check every alloy for scratches 2) Check every angle of the car, get down low to inspect for scratches 3) Pay close attention to the piano black trims inside and outside of the car these can be scratched 4) Check for general loose panels within the car such as gear surround, virtual cockpit and squeaking door mirrors. 5)check side skirts are glued on properly as they can pull away from the front edges *Electronics* 1) Warning Lights (Report any issues straight away as these are common, the SOS seems to be the most common and usually occurs in built up areas) 2) MMI Reboot / Blank Screen - this can occur when using Apple CarPlay 3) MMI losing user settings - report this if this happens 4) B&O rattles - if you have this upgrade try to listen out for any lose speaker panels which may rattle when high bass is used.

This is a must-watch for anyone taking delivery of a new Audi vehicle! Thank you very much for sharing the info. One important thing that I recommend anyone to do is double check the tyre pressure of your new baby. Don’t be fooled by the fact that it’s a brand new vehicle and comes with tmps. Speaking by experience, I collected vehicles with completely incorrect tyre pressure and that in the long term can ruin your tyres. Another thing to watch out, still speaking about wheels and tyres, make sure there are no dents or scratches on the alloy wheels. I would also check that all panels are straight and there are no marks/scratches/dents on the doors or side panels. Talking specifically about the A3, check that the MMI screen is not flickering whilst on CarPlay. Mine keeps doing that and it’s rather annoying.... oh and last but not least, if you’re buying a Sportback, make sure the boot lid shuts properly. My car is fine but I had a loan car a few months ago where I really had to slam it to close it properly! I hope this helps

Check the car alarm works!! had a new Honda broken into within two weeks of collection window smashed siren did not work only hazard lights flashed, no joy with Honda over stolen items they fixed the alarm after three arttempts

Check ambient lighting by holding your hand over the sensor from the outside of the windscreen which is located on the centre mirror

Great content! I have been watching for a while. I picked up my Audi S3 Vorsprung beginning of June. Excellent car and decided to order the Vorsprung . To add to your list for other potential buyers of Audi A3/S3/RS3; I choose the Audi traffic recorder/dashcam. A few days after having the car there seemed to be a rattle coming from the passenger side of the car. Before contacting Audi to book the car in I decided that I would be better to try and identify which part of the car was rattling. After a few days we figured out it was loose screws in the glove compartment box. I could only imagine that this was because of the dashcam installation I don’t see any other reason for the technician to take out the glove compartment box. Anyway something to add to the list before booking into the dealer and having to wait until you can get an appointment. Thankfully after tightening all the screws (there’s around 6-8 inside and outside) I have not experienced any other issues. Looking forward to seeing some content from yourself on the RS3

@@CRD90 It’s a good amount of extra cash for a dashcam although having been in an accident that involved someone going through a red light it was a no brainer for my next car. I suppose after watching your video on your dashcam install I could have went down the aftermarket route and saved some money there. Functions and features of it are pretty solid as you would expect.

Thanks a lot for your tips. It is going to help me a lot because this month I have to receive my A3 Edition 1.

What you missed about the new version of MMI is that it now has a home page which summarises 3 types of info. For example I have Radio, Clock and Sat Nav. It looks smarter than the dark setting pages

Hey bud it's been a while :) - glad it helps, yep they have to fix the issues if discovered on delivery day. It takes a while though it's over a month and I'm still waiting for the replacement piano black trims on my brand new Vorsprung (which you saw scratched up at the end of the video)

Thanks bro, not any specific to the s5 but I would definitely say give it a fine once over and any damages etc have it put in writing. Believe me they will try get out of it one way or another. If you also experience any of the mmi / SOS issues on the newer cars - get it in writing straight away to help with a potential rejection later on. Sorry, not trying to put you off but I'd rather make you aware should the experience turn sour as it did with us 👍🏽

Been watching your videos as i just had my audi A3 delivered. It's 2020 used model with 450 mileage. I went through your checklist as suggested and i realised the squeaking sound on the left mirror when it opens. Any advice what to do about it or what to say to Audi as it was from a Audi dealership. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks once again. Looking forward to hearing from you

@@hussainmulla805 you can try book it in for them to look at, they will probably apply lubricant to it to make the noise go away. If you have a can of wd40 you could probably try the same. But it maybe best just to take it back for them to do 👍🏽

I recently purchased a used A7 from Audi, They offer a minor scuffs and wheel insurance, It cost me 600, recently parked in a supermarket car park and it was hit with a trolley, cars going in to Audi to be painted next week saving me claiming on my insurance. £600 well spent.

Hi auzzam...I had my A3 TFSIe for 3 weeks now and so far i had mainly 2 issues. Firstly 2 different Huawei smartphones which i could not connect them with the MMI so I ended up buying a samsung and it connecting straightaway with a usb type c cable. Secondly I also have an issue with closing the front doors, I need some force to close them not like my previous leon mk 3 which would close straightaway with no force at all.

@@mariocamilleri41 take it into them, I've known some owners have had their rubber seals replaced. They told me wait until the seals bed in, but on the edition1 we got to 2,000 miles and it still was hard to close

For the MMI version. i guess UK has a different version then EU, no?

Quite possibly, also I know on the EU cars certain things have to be specd up like the sat nav and smartphone connection

Watch out for extremely buggy MMI system - e.g. screen going black, screen randomly reloading settings and a host of other issues. Hopefully a software update should iron these out though.

Does yours occur in a built up area like London? If the warning light is stuck on (sometimes it stays for a few hours) you can try keep hold of the SOS button until it switches off. I'll be posting a video to show this 👍🏽

Interesting that the warning lights are an issue, my new S3 is going back for a new binnacle as the one installed is faulty. Engine management light can’t make its mind up if it wants to be on or off.

It's like an advent calendar of warning lights you never know which one is next! It's good they seem to have narrowed your issue down though, was your car getting stuck in limp mode? Or did it drive normally

Hey bro thanks for watching, the 30tfsi is actually a 1 litre engine with roughly 110hp The 35tfsi is the more popular 1.5 litre engine with 150hp

Rear suspension is a poorer spec on the smaller engine. I would avoid!

I have just ordered my S3 especially without electric seats. I drive alone and in my previous car I used electric adjustment perhaps ones. What do you think on my choice ? Thx for your valuable videos.

@@CRD90 Yes I found it very useful. I have only one doubt concerning sunroof I have not ordered. I heard that are some issues with noise coming from one side of the sunroof and took the black package instead. I have never had sunroof in my previous cars and perhaps I would not miss it so much. I know you recommended to have it.

Has anybody got any update regarding the issue of the MMI that keeps restarting? #Audi is being unhelpful. They keep telling me that Audi is aware of the problem, but nothing has been resolved yet. I wanted to check if any of you lovely people had better luck..

Thanks for watching bud. On UK models definitely standard on the sline and above. I'll have to double check on the sport and technik In European countries they're optional for approx 400euros

Don’t forget the biggest problem with the A3 😳 the unhelpful Audi dealerships
