Exactly I don't get the whole thing about worrying about them getting creased. I've just bought a new pair. I had my old pair probably about 5 years my old pair I used to wear every day. I've been to raves in them walked around most of London in them and gone on multiple holidays with them. I wear them and I enjoy them and I don't give a shit about creases it happens.

Yep. My big toe only has a thumbs width at the end of the toe box, so it’s true to size for me. People are impatient because of the heel slippage and they they like the loose lace look. It’s a pain in the beginning, but the slippage stops.

@@39yeray The reason for the slippage is because the insole is sitting on a high midsole. Once you break down the insole a bit, it will feel like a normal shoe. It shouldn’t take more than a week or two for the slippage to stop.

Maybe if I wore the shoes till they were crying... a correct size purchase would be worth it for me. But, I wear my shoes pretty gently. So I need something that has the correct dimensions out of the box. Maybe wide feet are a rarity... that's why shoes aren't wide on the regular? Idk.. wear thick socks then if your shoe is loose in the toe box. I still agree that you should buy your real size in AF1's.

I wore crease protectors for a while but I realized that it's not terrible. So I took them out today because they were really annoying me For some reason today. they're amazing without them. But if you ever need to get the creases out of them just put some towels in the toe box then get a towel. Get it wet, ring it out and lay it over the toe box and whatever area has freezes, grab an iron and put it on high heat and then iron for a minute or two. Maybe a bit longer and then it will get the creases out of them. Hope this helps for anybody

I got a new pair and i love the woarn down look of the shoe. Once you use em full time they will break in and get comfy af.

I have 3 pairs. 2 regular ones. And yes that is like walking on bricks at first. And when they finally start to feel nice they also start to decay And 1 pair color of the month. They were comfortable right at the first wear. The sole felt way less blocky and the leather is way softer.

Correction on 1: Dont go half a size down, just wear them the size you do on your other sneakers

If you put diff shoes on they feel different when you pit them back on, they don't mold/break in to YOUR foot, your foot molds to them.

They are Crease Monsters even with Force Fields to protect the toe box.

to help you break em in: either take out the insole and just start punching it or take out the insole and take one of the handheld massage guns and just go ham on it. this kinda softens it, then it’ll take less time to mold to your feet shape

DO NOT GO DOWN A SIZE!! I just got mine in my original size and they fit PERFECTLY!

💯. Said something similar in the comments. These shoes you only wear once maybe twice. After that it’s either a daily work shoe or just shoe u use to do everything in except wear to look fresh. It’s a once maybe twice wearing shoe after that it’s trash. When I was younger I would buy a pair every week. Either white or black and had to be low top. Would use them once then toss them out or give them away. Sometimes I’d keep a pair for work or just to be out and about. But that’s about it.

Go a half size down? I have to go a size and a half up just to fit into a pair of those narrow ass sneakers!

They only add 1.18 inches. The Luxe and LV8 add slightly more though to a respectable 1.4 and 1.3 respectively. The platform af1 is just cosmetic tho and it’s about the same height

Instead of decreasing them or stuffing them, buy a anti-creaser. It's a plastic thing that sticks to the front of it in the inside that prevents it from creasing.

Theres a reason people in service jobs wear AF1 and Monarchs. The leather is durable, airsole molds to your foot, traction, durability. Solid colors of both never go on sale

​@@justplayin3079 because they run big. Nike sizing isn't consistent because of the shape of each model. I've got revolution 6 which have a narrower toe box, so I needed to fo up half a size, for example. AF1 toebox is wider, so unless you want your heel to constantly slip out while walking (which results in extra unnecessary fatigue), you should go half a size smaller. In any case, it's always wise to try them in a store.

I bought me a pair in year 2001, when they were $40 and return them for some K•swiss white classics.

No need to half size down. They fit true to size.

Don’t buy the triple white’s. Buy some with other details/colors

A size down? You buggin'. I'm a size 10 in everything and when I wear 10 in Forces the tip of my big toe literally touches the front of the toe box. Idk about all that.
