my father in law's go to shoe (hes 60). he buys four pairs each year, one each season. i was out of the sneaker game for a very long time. i remember thinking this old man still got style. motivated me to get back into the game. i have way more jordans than any other kind of shoe but white af1 lows will always be my favorite for that reason.

From someone who has worked at Nike and has family members who have worked for Nike.....Before the 2000's Nike wanted nothing to do with "remaking" old shoes. They briefly tried it in 1994 but sales were very low. What happened in the year 2000? Well it is simple...Reebok was making most of it's sales from their "retro" shoe line, so Nike decided to get in on the market. Nike's opinion before Reebok created a "retro" market was that older shoes were simply older technology...they were only interested in focusing on the future. Now most of Nike's sales for sneakers are from their "retro" line...just like Reebok, but this time Nike has a piece of that market as well. We can try to rewrite history and romanticize Nike Air Force 1, but it simply came down to trying to take market share away from Reebok and other competitors.

What happened? Music is what happened, nothing is more powerful in propaganda than Music. Music decides what is fashionable, what become a trend in culture & what people wear, especially the youth. Rappers started to wear the Nike Air Jordan Retros in the late 90’s & early 2000’s that started to get the youth interested in “Old” Shoes that nobody wanted in 1994. Same happened with the Air Force Ones.

I've had my airforces for like 5months they muddy and creased but not yellow at all, with 1 baby wipe they white again

2021 its still a go to kick that you can rock with any type of clothing !!

My first pair was a couple years ago. Tan and suede brown ones. I love it cus they wear well over time and I don’t often see a low tan af1. This was really cool to learn more about the history of the show

I have two pairs of AF1's (AF1 mid black and AF1 low white). They are so comfortable and you can wear them everywhere. AF1 are my favorite shoes in any version and in any colorway.

AF1, Old Skool, Converse 70s. Holy Trinity of immortal shoes

I’m 20 years old and I never had a pair of AF1 I always rock Jordan’s and the Jordan 4 are my fav. I might have to buy my first AF1 this week

Personally as someone who doesn't have loads of money to spend on high end sneakers and outfits, the air force 1's are beautiful. I recently bought a pair of mid all white ones and they go with pretty much anything you can throw on. The simple design and versatility of the shoe is why I think that its lasted so long

Love the af1, my favorite shoe and in my opinion the best or second best shoe ever made (ahead or behind Jordan 1s), it was also my first ever Nike shoe which is what pushed me into caring about my sneakers. It's the perfect shoe, it can do anything you want it to do.

I had more memories of the Nike Legend High and there were some other lower cost models too at the time. Would love to see history of these early 80's basketball shoes especially the Legend which I always wanted but never could afford.

I wasn’t into the clunky bulky vibe of the AF1 intially. But my dad gifted me a pair of triple white lows on my birthday a couple of years ago, and since then I’ve owned 3 pairs of triple whites alone!!!

Af1 low jewels are so clean. I have a white on black pair but I will definitely be getting a black on white pair in the summer.

My favorite is the AF 1 Utility Strap Volt. I saw it in Footlocker but didn’t buy a pair as I felt it was too expensive. A couple of months later, I looked for it again but it was gone and there wasnt any in other stores and malls I went to. So much regret.

I remember in 06 and 07 I was crazy for Air Force 1s my favorite is the all black mids or lows I own 2 pairs of white and black mid and 3 different colors pairs still in good condition

Since I started getting into sneakers (I'm more into technical shit) I ended up copping five different pairs of AF1s. I love em all and I'm for sure getting more

Super dope video . Only criticism is I wish you woulda touched on the updates and variations they made throughout the years (Jordan fusions, foamposite, flyknit, etc) .

I have a lot of AF1's but my first and favorite AF1 is the All White MID .. AF1 Never gonna die.!!

I used to play in court with white mid AF1 back in '04-'05. Very Comfy

Got my first pair 8th grade Greenspring Junior High 1983 Baltimore white with the silver swoosh and outsole. Have three fresh pair now. White on white, green and white and spruce and white. Had too many to remember in those 40 years.

Could you find out what happened to the I Ivan Lendl Adidas, first starting with the original canvas, then the leather Supremes? Which is IMPOSSIBLE to find Anywhere. Folks don't seem to remember them and they were popular in Baltimore as well because of these 3 stores, which in my opinion cultivated a certain style in Baltimore. Please Help me out if you can. Thx

I found an all white pair of high tops in the middle of the street about 6 months ago. They were there for days before I decided no one was coming for them and picked them up. I would never have bought a pair on my own but I love them now.
