Hi! Thank you so much for watching! Sintra was such a fun stop on our way up the coast of Portugal. The boys loved the caves and castles and we couldn't get enough of the Petiscos. It was so fun creating this series, stay tuned for next week in Peniche!

Never skip the gardens in Pena Palace. It feels like a fairy tale inside with tiny castles for the ducks in the pond, horse farm, greenhouses, hidden fountains and native plants to the mountains. Another palace to see is Monseratte and it’s gorgeous with its Moorish and Islamic inspired decorations. If you didn’t have time to go to Cabo da Roca. My family and I just drove back to Cascais near Lisbon that’s known for its laid back beach town feel. Great job in this series!!

I'm glad you liked Sintra. P. S. - Sintra has only one Castle, the Moorish Castle. All others are Palaces.

Eater did a great job hiring Iz. Her content is always informative, experiential, and delightful. Season 2 and onward, please?
My favorite series so far💚 love their personality and the content!
I'm so happy to see someone enjoying a country/city as one should, with proper research on where and when to go, what to see and what to eat. I can honestly say, as a father of two just like you, your day trip was just like a perfect summer sunday I have with my family in Lisbon. The informality, the meal mix, breakfast at manteigaria...only missing a dive in the ocean or a wave ride . Other than that, 7 minutes of a busy sunday video like a local! Very true vídeo I can relate to.(On the other hand, I like tourists eating paellas and burgers in tourist spots near I am at... makes life easier :) )

wow! thank you SO much. That means a lot, I loved Portugal, it was so family friendly and we couldn't stop eating. Your country is a gem, and we felt so lucky to explore it.
This is quickly becoming the only guide to Portugal you'll ever need! Love how you authentic your meals/trips are with the kids, really inspiring. "Far from being a reason not to, children are perhaps the best reason of all to travel."

My friends and I just got back from Lisbon. We went to Tascantiga and Manteigaria both based on the recommendations of this series and thank goodness we did! Great recommendations. And the castles are even more beautiful up close. Absolutely worth braving the crowds and mountainous terrain, as long as you get there early and either hike or use public transit. Thanks so much for this series!
Love this series! Fantastic camera work and editing. Iz and her family are awesome! Portugal is definitely on my list of places to see next.

I enjoy watching this. This is the goal. To travel with kids, especially internationally. Mama you are a star. I have three, 10 and 7 always fighting and newborn has his own demands. I am proud of you. You are my friend in my mind. Lol

iz! your filmmaking gets more refined and stirring every time you create something new. i’m excited to see the rest of the series. eater is lucky to have you.
HI Iz. Wanted to thank you for your videos, they really helped us planning our trip to Portugal. We didn't have Cabo da Roca on our itinerary but after watching this video we knew we had to go there. We loved it! It was the highlight of the trip for me. I also wanted to thank you for recommending Tascantiga, the best meal we had in Portugal. Hope you to continue to produce amazing videos. Thanks!.
I'm reliving so many wonderful memories through this series. Thank you so much for the beautiful visuals!
So much POWER TO YOU for doing it so well with the small kids! LOVE your videos! Keep up the good work and thank you, I really enjoy watching your videos.
I believe Portugal may be one of the best places to eat in the world and for an exceptional value. We have all kinds of food and i hope u had a lof of fun visiting our country.
I’m super glad that you have come visit Sintra!! And yep is always super crowded if you ever come to Sintra again you have to visit Monserrat’s Palace, the garden there is really beautiful! And thanks for your interest and kind words! ❤️
Great family, lucky kids...all enjoying the best in Portugal...
Hi there. I really like this series. After watching this and Lisbon episodes I thought I’d say this: Whenever you don’t know how to pronounce a word in a foreign language just go to google translate or any other internet dictionary and look for the sound/audio of the word/phrase. It’s super easy and quick but it makes you seem like you try to say something the right way. I’m an immigrant myself, my first language is Polish and I speak English fluently but I still sometimes just check the pronunciation of some words - just to show I care. Anyway, great series and have a lovely day.
Sintra has some of the best pastries on the planet. Can’t wait to go back!
"and I can't even wait to see what Portugal has in store" I can't either and I live there. Love your videos Iz

Your video was a great introduction to Portugal. You have a great eye for aesthetics as well. I enjoy watching your travel videos they are so uplifting and inspiring. Since i work constantly it makes me appreciate your vlogs very much! The food looks great! 💜💜💜
Great to include Sintra, so beautiful village.
Portugal has beautiful architecture from the Islamic Period. Our tour guide took us to Mértola, and Porto to see the moorish architecture and it is for sure breathtaking.
@silveriorebelo8495

there's no morish architecture in Mértola. Nothing, nichts, nada. The Church that is reivindicated as a mosche is in fact a church with gothic architecture of the 15th century. Previously there was a mosche built in the 12th century - but this mosche resulted from the occupation of a previous church, so, draw your conclusions .... We are the victims of a very strange propaganda, exalting those who invade the christian lands by the sole reason they were non-Christians. Funny, isn't it?

@@Kanal7Indonesia The Portuguese were never Islamists. The Kingdom of Portugal was formed in the twelfth century -- our first king, Dom Afonso Henriques, was crowned in 1128 -- as an attempt to attain independence from the Kingdom of Castile-Leon, and to expel the Moorish usurpers from a land which had been Christian since the first centuries CE. Most of present-day Portugal was freed from the Moors by the end of the XII century, that is, approximately 50 years after the liberation of Lisbon, in 1147. As it has been said before, there seems to be a very strange, perhaps even deliberate misinterpretation of our History, which wishes to undermine our culture and traditions!

@@miguelcoelho3877 wow that's even more impressive, because i always thought the iberian peninsula culture and architecture is influenced by muslim moors.
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much!

What amazing HD Drone footage you guy's took. I lived in SINTRA until 1973. And never seen this type of production value. Love the Aerial photography.
I've been to Sao Miguel in the Azores 9 times and I'm desperate to go back. However, your videos are making me want to hit up mainland Portugal next!
I went a few years a go to Portugal. all the way from the top to Lisbon. We stayed in Sintra instead of Lisbon. That way we didn't find many people, but it gets crazy during the day. Too many people, in my opinion. Being from Spain, it's funny that until then I didn't though about going to Portugal. Such great country. You should have gone to O porto too.
Sintra is from another world!
I love these videos guys. Really informational and in-depth for a short video.

Just got back from Portugal, Sintra is beautiful we went in the middle of winter so no lines we just walked straight in. The weather was still lovely though, ~15c everyday with sunshine. I wouldn't recommend eating in Sintra however, its very expensive and touristy since its so small. I would just wait until you get back to Lisbon (Sintra is on the Lisbon metro line only about hour away by train).
hey eater ' this presenter IS priceless !!!!!
