Stepped on a nail and It broke the skin and slightly started bleeding. Cleaned it off with 80% alcohol and slapped a heavy duty bandage on it with triple antibiotic ointment. Got my Tetanus shot last week. I’m good.

You're lucky it was just a nail. At one point I took the garbage out barefoot and stepped on glass. Now I know how Bruce Willis must have felt.

You need to expedite delivery of white blood cell to that location if your foot or leg stiffens it will take longer to heal! I PROMISE YOU!

Had a 2 inch from a nail in my femur just above the knee cap pulled it out with a pair of pliers then put a dressing over the hole hurt like hell for a day but did not bother to go the hospital a couple of days later the pain had gone

Ugh, I did this like a month ago. It was rusty and old from my vintage camper remodel. I went to the ER, got antibiotics and a tetanus shot. It didn't hurt until like a week ago, it's not healing, and I stepped on my sandals I left laying out and it hurt so much my knee involuntary folded to prevent me putting anymore of my weight down in the full step. I'm soaking it right now and then I'll be doing home surgery 🤢. If it's really gross I'm pretty squeamish, I'll be back in the ER

How'd it go? The nurse told me yesterday it's an updated recommendation to get a tetanus booster every 5 years but if you haven't been injured it's fine to get it updated only ever 10 years. So if you never stepped on anything, you should get it every 10 years. If you got hurt but got a shot less than 5 years ago, you're good, but anywhere between 5 and 10 years for an injury requires a new booster. Good thing for my math skills, I don't remember ever getting a vaccine after childhood so seeing as I'm not 10 years old it was easy to remember I hadn't gotten it.

Same old info like EVERY other video on the topic. How about what to expect for the healing process - days weeks months. How long? If the bruising subsides or if it doesn’t. During the healing process, should you try to move it after a while or continue to let it rest.....etc etc etc etc. FFS, I think of so many other info points that could be in such a video. I guess doctors aren’t creative people & just follow the same garb that was told to them.

im an idiot and i wanted to test out how good my safety boots were. so i just stomped as hard as i could on a nail and somewhat went through. luckily it didnt go deep and i stopped bleeding relatively quick as well. i guess thats just natural selection at work though
