My daughter was waitlisted for NYU. She acted like she got in. She was so excited that it wasn’t an immediate rejection that she’s totally ok with being on the waitlist. Lol. They do say that they don’t want any other info except for final grades, however, so she can’t send any other letters, other than the form they requested to show continued interest. I’m proud of how she’s handling this situation, whether she gets in or not.

@@ThePrincetonReview Actually I’m the mama lion, lol. But my daughter and I just watched your video after I previewed it. It is fabulous, with just enough pizzazz to engage my 12th grader. And so for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and wallet. 😂 We will be writing an email today emphasizing that burning desire. Such great advice- I had no idea we could do that! I was put on a wait list for the high school that I went to. My parents called to see where I was on the wait list and I was #1, and I think the reason for that is my parents attended. I don't remember how long I was on the wait list, and I did get into the school. I was one of a handful that applied to go there from the school I attended and was the only one that got in. This was 24 years ago.
Abolish the waitlist let more students in

All waitlisted candidates have to wait till all rounds are completed right? Lets say I was rejected, but the students who were accepted from been waitlisted rejects more than their intake what would happen?
any sample letters of intrest! should i make it super long or brief but page turning. Ahh! I know how to say why I would like to attend face to face but I cant find myself writing it out
wish I could ask you for a letter of recommendation :(

@@haleygreen4934 Virginia Tech accepted me shortly after that and NC State didn’t offer admission from the waitlist, I accepted Virginia Tech it was the greatest thing to ever happen to me

Hi Princeton Review, can you clarify something for me? It states that I may not receive an update about admission as a waitlisted student until July, but I have to officially commit to a school no later than June 1st. (Note that I have been accepted elsewhere) Are you saying that I can commit to a school that has accepted me while still maintaining the option to attend my dream school even if after the June 1st deadline? I was afraid I could not have both options, and accordingly it would be too risky to wait for the dream school to potentially move me off their waitlist when I could be guaranteed admission elsewhere. Thank you!

Okay so i got waitlisted , im 400 out of 8000 candidates, (they usually take in 1000-2000 off the waitlist) , i get the news whether i get in on the 31st ill be back to update (personal diary)
