Postural hypotension or orthostatic hypotension is a condition when blood pressure drops when you go from lying down to sitting up, or from sitting to standing.
When your blood pressure drops, less blood flows to your organs and muscles. This may increase the chance of you falling. The main symptom of this condition is dizziness. In this video, we show you steps to take when your blood pressure drops while changing your body position.

Something I learned from my Dad's doctor. As we age it may become harder for our body to balance the blood to our brain when we sit or stand up. It may take a minute for it to catch up instead of draining. This can cause light headedness and fainting. Therefore, when you sit or stand up do so carefully. Be still for a few moments and let your blood catch up. Having a good support when standing also helps. By the same token try not to turn too quickly. name of the game here is to slow down and move carefully. Great advice on this channel and love the videos, thank you.

Take care of yourself! If this keeps happening, see a doctor. You can also observe after which such symptoms appear. Maybe you didn't drink enough water yesterday or you were treated for a cold before. This information will help your doctor understand the cause of your condition.

If it helps you, then why not? The main thing is to control your condition. In general, exercise helps blood move through the vessels and dizziness goes away. But it is also important to monitor your condition.

We're sorry you're experiencing this. This is a fairly common problem among students. The next time this happens, try to go to a cool place or shade, drink water, sit down and take a deep breath. Be sure to take someone else with you so they can help if you get worse. It would be nice if you went to the doctor. This condition often disappears with age. But sometimes it has other reasons. The doctor would help you understand.

@@cixferr.e4 for example, you can tell your teacher about your condition so that he (or she) knows that this can happen to you. Ask him/her to help. If possible, stand so that you can quietly leave the assembly to normalize the situation. It is advisable that you prevent such occurrences. To do this, consult a doctor. Perhaps the problem will be solved with the help of nutrition or lifestyle changes. In any case, do not be afraid to tell your doctor and teacher about your condition.
