“When was the last time in Hollywood that portrayed a Muslim as a good person?” So true. Quran actually tells readers that “you will love them, but they will not love you,” (meaning those who will not believe). Very honest people are so rare these days. Quran 4:135, “Whenever you speak, speak justly, O you who believe and stand out firmly for justice as a witness to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be against rich or poor.” Sura 16:89, “One day We shall raise from all Peoples a witness against them, from amongst themselves: and We shall bring you as a witness against these (your people): and We have sent down the Book explaining all things, a Guide, a Mercy, and Glad Tidings to Muslims.” (Muslim means one who fully submits to the One God since time began). Love the justice and honesty of this brother in humanity. Sura 16:97, “Whoever works righteousness, man or woman, and has Faith, verily, to him We will give a new Life, a life that is good and pure, and We will bestow on such their reward according to the best of their actions.” (And so true, that the word choice, “infidel,” that mean people use, is actually one that was used during the Crusades against the Muslims).

It happens in politics, it happens in school, it happens fucking everywhere. I couldn’t give a fuck what you believe so long as it’s making you want to be a good person. As he states it’s about meeting people where they are. This is a wise man, I don’t know shit about the Muslim faith, I would even say I know the least amount about Christianity and consider myself Christian because what I do know I think makes me want to be more like what Christ has been portrayed as. We need to bridge all these divides and string up those pounding the wedges in.

LET US LAUGH AT HOW UMAR LOVED THE CHRISTIANS AND THE JEWS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sahih al-Bukhari 3152 Narrated Ibn `Umar: `Umar bin Al-Khattab EXPELLED ALL THE JEWS AND CHRISTIANS from the land of Hijaz. Allah's Messenger after conquering Khaibar, thought of expelling the Jews from the land which, after he conquered it belonged to Allah, Allah's Messenger and the Muslims. But the Jews requested Allah's Messenger to leave them there on the condition that they would do the labor and get half of the fruits (the land would yield). Allah's Messenger said, "We shall keep you on these terms as long as we wish." Thus they stayed till the time of `Umar's Caliphate when he EXPELLED THEM to Taima and Ariha.

My comment, as a Christian: One, if not THE most important foundational beliefs in Christianity is, that Yeshua (Jesus) died for our sins and rose from the dead, to defeat death, to fulfill the prophecies, to give us, who are sinners (everyone, except Jesus) the chance to stand in front of a PERFECT God, who doesn't tolerate sin. Even the smallest one. Eventhough we should be punished, Jesus "covers" our transgressions through His blood. The Quran states in Sura 4:157 (please allow me, to use an English translation) "However, they did not slay him [Yeshua], and neither did they crucify him, but it only seemed to them [as if it had been] so;" With this verse, Jesus's "work", God's gift is made void!!! That's inacceptable from a Christian standpoint. Some Islamic scolars, like "Ibn al-Athir" believe that "Judas, the betrayer" was crucified instead of Jesus. Again, inacceptable. Also, Sure al-Ichlas (Sura 112) states, "He [Allah=God] neither begets nor is born," (Lam yelid we Lam yoolad). Islam opposes the concept that Jesus, who BEFORE he "touched" earth as a human, already was with God, and also was God. THEN he was born unto this planet. This Quran-verse opposes of the Biblical perspective. The Bible states, that "The word [Jesus] was with God, and God was the word"(John1:1). Further in verse 14 it continues " The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son [!!!!!], who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." How it works that Jesus is WITH God and also IS God.... ? I. Don't. Know. But that's what has been tought in Christianity since the beginning. This doctrine collides with Islam. Islam denies the sonship of Yeshua, therefore, from an academic, analytic standpoint, no hate towards any person intended, Islam is Anti-Christian. 1.John 4:2 witnesses: "By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist" Eventhough, from an theological standpoint (and after reading quite a lot about Islam, trying to understand the religion with an open mind) I HAVE to be highly critical towards Islam, because it opposes basically the most important doctrines of Christianity. And that's just the tip of the iceberg... I also think it's important to say, that many Christians worldwide are being heavily persecuted by Islamic groups or individuals... And now the other side of the coin: Culturally and socially... generally speaking, I love Muslims. I met and befriended maaaannnny Turkish, Syrian, (...) Muslims in Germany, been in Palestine (and Israel, let's put politics aside, please), met the most loving and welcoming people, Muslims and Christians there. Arab culture in general is extremely hospitable, they would rather give you their food, than let you be hungry for 5 minutes. Met many humble and trustworthy people. So, yes there are certain prejudices against Muslims/Arabs, that are just not fair. 9/11 is highly loaded with those prejudices, and many Muslims suffered big time! Let's be honest, there are good people, in every culture and religion, and there are bad ones too... Even if I don't agree with Islam on many levels, I believe, treating your fellow human being with basic decency and dignity is paramount. Also, i try to see people as individuals, not as members of a "group". Btw, learning some sentences in Arabic is a great key to get free treats at you local Arabic restaurant. Please believe me, I wrote this with the best intentions. May Elah (God in Aramaic, or El or Elohim in Hebrew) show mercy to all of us and open our hearts for His truth! In Yeshuas holy name. Amen! Shalom, Selam, Agape!

I’m sorry, and I don’t meant to sound rude at all it’s just that I cannot show emotion in written text so it may come off as rude lol but, you mentioned that you looked into Islam with an open mind, and then you started saying you can’t believe in it because it is against the belief system of Christianity. Is this not just a contradiction, how can you look at it with an open mind and then reject it because of close mindedness? And also I think your statement about how Jesus peace be upon him can be with God and be God at the same confuses you is enough of a point for islam. Islam is not anti-Christian, we are anti-shirk, shirk means associating partners with God, no sons, no mothers, no brothers, no 3 in one, no nothing just one God. The one that is easiest to make sense of and the most logical. Islam is completely monotheist.

@@adyanqureshi3129 Selam Adyan. You don't sound rude, you just stated your thoughts. Before I became an Christian, I looked into Islam. Secondly after becoming a Christian, I still had an open mind, in the sense that I do not need biased Anti-Islam sources to prove my point. I'd rather go to islamic sources, as seen before. Now that I understand the base concepts of both Islam and the way of Yeshua (Christianity) I can have a formed opinion. You wrote "I think your statement about how Jesus peace be upon him can be with God and be God at the same confuses you is enough of a point for islam. Islam is not anti-Christian, we are anti-shirk". Look. The MOST CORE concept of Christianity is, that Yeshua died for our sins. As no "normal" man can die for another mans sins, it was Yeshua who provided the only valid attonement. And that's what Islam disagrees on. Therefore, it is Anti-Christian. Because it denies the most basic doctrine. There are verses like Phillipians 2:6 from the Engeel (New Testament) ""Who [talking about Yeshua], being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death - even death on a cross!" There are soooo many other verses that point out that Yeshua is God and -when being human- needed God's guidance in certain things. That's why he also prayed, BECAUSE "he did not consider equality with God" during his time on earth!!!! Yes by the (in my opinion wrong) islamic understanding of who God is, surely it is "Shrk." We don't believe that there are two or three Gods, we do not believe that Maryam is praiseworthy. We believe that before Yeshua touched the earth (He, Yeshua, created everything) he was with God and also was God. Took me years of studying and an open heart to "accept" the concept, because I thought it was illogical, too. [Doesn't it remind you of Quantum Physics somehow, which are also "illogical"?] I am not God, I don't make the rules! You also shouldn't! If God pleases to be that way, it's HIS choice! He can make a virgin become pregnant; he can make a bush burn and talk through the same bush! He can appoint certain angels to be his manifestation (Yes, manifestations, not representants). That's also illogical, one might say. Only because something is easier to understand, it does not have to be truth! God does not need me to understand something for it to be true! Logic CAN be a great tool of understanding the world (and God) but sometimes it can be missguiding! The fact stays: Jesus is with God and is God. Even if I can not grasp it 100%. And that's ok. It's not at all a contradiction! Many Muslims argue "If Jesus died on the cross, and Jesus is God, did God die on the cross?" That's a bad polemic. Again.... You only need the one verse mentioned before.... That's also why Jesus prayed to the Father, also why he said that only the Father knows when certain events would happen. This was a temporary condition while Yeshua was on the earth as human, to show that he can live among us, under human conditions, without sinning. That's basically an amazing act of God's love! And the Bible is solid on that! You can take fragments of the Bible that are 500+ years older than the first Quran, that witness this! Oh... If you are planing to say "the Bible has been changed" IT IS ON YOU to prove where and what has been changed! Shalom! Selam! Agape!

@@amoscorvus thanks for the reply, but I am still against the way you looked into islam, what I meant by open mind was with no personal biases, and you came in with a completely Christian mindset, and left unchanged because of this. Also, if whenJesus peace be upon him was on earth he showed us how "he can live among us, under human conditions, without sinning", is that not a prophet? In islam we believe that the prophets are completely sinless while I see that in Christianity prophets aren’t even respected as much. Stories such as Noah peace be upon him being drunk naked and seen by people in this is state, Zachariah peace be upon him not trusting in God when he was told that he would have a son, Job peace be upon him complaining about his state and test, this is all completely blasphemous! How can our prophets, people who receive revelation and who God gives us out of his mercy and love be such people? Also, is jesus peace be upon him independent from God or dependent on God? If he’s dependent then he cannot be 100% God. If he’s independent then two ultimate independent existences that makes there be two Gods. Also, where was the doctrine of the trinity that you’re explaining to me within the 300 years after Jesus peace be upon him?? The council of Nicaea adopted it in 325 AD. Why was this not there before? You mentioned that I would say the Bible has been changed, I actually wasn’t planning to say anything about this but now that you ask I must meet the challenge right 😂. First off there are multiple versions of the bible, I can find you sooo many and they all have different things in them, why should I trust this as the word of God? Find me one authentic(!) chain that goes back to Jesus peace be upon him? It does not exist. The oldest manuscripts of the Old Testament we have is dated 1000 years after Moses and hundreds of years after the other prophets, and we have no way to prove the authenticity or reliability of the authorship of those texts. There are no manuscripts of the New Testament that go back to the first century. Here’s a citation from Britannica's website: The remarkable and total victory of the King James Version could not entirely obscure those inherent weaknesses that were independent of its typographical errors. The manner of its execution had resulted in a certain unevenness and lack of consistency. Because the translators’ understanding of the Hebrew tense system was often limited, their version contains inaccurate and infelicitous renderings. In particular, the Greek text of the New Testament that they used as their base was a poor one. The great early Greek codices were not then known or available, and the Hellenistic papyri which were to shed light on the common Greek dialect had not yet been discovered. A committee established by the Convocation of Canterbury in February 1870 reported favourably three months later on the idea of revising the King James Version; two companies were formed, one each for the Old and New Testaments. A novel development was the inclusion of scholars representative of the major Christian traditions, except Roman Catholics (who declined the invitation to participate). Another innovation was the formation of parallel companies in the United States, to whom the work of the British scholars was submitted and who in turn sent back their reactions. The instructions to the committees made clear that only a revision, not a new translation, was contemplated. The New Testament was published in Britain on May 17, 1881, and three days later in the United States, after 11 years of labour. Over 30,000 changes were made, of which more than 5,000 represent differences between the Greek text used for the Revised Version and that used as the basis of the King James Version. Most of the other changes were made in the interest of consistency or modernization. They changed it so it could be more consistent. They changed it so that it would have less contradictions. They changed it so that it could make more sense.

@@adyanqureshi3129 Hey man! Thanks for keeping it respectful so far! I appreciate it! As I told you, when I "discovered" Islam, I wasn't a believer in Christ. It was around 20years ago. It was shortly after 9/11 happened, and I wanted to understand if Islam is a religion of peace or of terror. Come on. How much of a open mind can you expect! You wrote "is that not a prophet", look, other than in Islam, most prophets in the Bible are imperfect and sometimes sinful people. Exactly as you mentioned. Often people with HUGE character flaws, who God STILL uses and changes. Yeah as you wrote, for example Noah was (overly) drunk, Jacob was a lier, David killed a husband of a woman he fell in love with. And still... those people, people like YOU AND ME were used for God's glory. I think it shows God's mercy, that He can use even a weak person to do great, great stuff!! And about Job: He asked questions, he was in pain and suffering. But doing this he did not sin! He remained humble! Again, that's a big difference between Islam and Judaism (and Christianity). God wants us to be critical and it's ok for Him, if for example a mother loses her child and is angry at God; as long she does not blaspheme him God is with her! It will be forgiven if she repents. God is so much more mercifull, than Islam teaches. The only unforgivable sin in Christianity is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, basically knowing, that something is from God, but giving attributes to Satan (simplified) (and also taking the mark of the beast, in the future, is an unforgivable sin). Blasphemy against the Father and the Son CAN be forgiven. That's what the Bible says! I know, the Quran is different. Yeshua is different to a prophet. He did not sin at all. Maybe in the eyes of the jewish Pharisees, but not in the eyes of the Most High. And hey: Which other "prophet" was born by a virgin and was sinnless? NO ONE!!!! Which prophet could forgive sins, which is something, only God can do!!!! And why, if Jesus did not proclaim Himself to be "the I AM" which is a term for God; why did the Pharisees wanted Him to be killed for blasphemy? Please, do your research! PLEASE I beg you with all my heart! He was MORE than a prophet! If you want to understand the God of the Bible, read the Bible with an open mind, not form an Islamic biased perspective, You wrote " If he’s dependent then he cannot be 100% God. If he’s independent then two ultimate independent existences that makes there be two Gods." I showed you in many verses how it is. I don't make the rules. God does! Do not be mistaken: Befor Yeshua touched the earth as human, he was with God, and he was God. That's scripture! Or read Exodus 33:19, when Gods Glory (Yeshua, before he lived amongs us) passes by, while God covers Moses eyes: "“I will cause all My goodness to pass before you,” the LORD replied, “and I will proclaim My name-the LORD-in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”b 20But He added, “You cannot see My face, for no one can see Me and live.” 21The LORD continued, “There is a place near Me where you are to stand upon a rock, 22and when My glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I (!!!!!!!!!!) have passed by. 23Then I will take My hand away, and you will see My back; but My face must not be seen.” There are certain differences in the Bible. Yes. But most of them are based on translations. Names are written differently, transcribtions may differ, but if you look for the red thread it's the same in all bibles! There are even some translations that are almost blasphemic. Like the one from the Jehovas Witnesses. When I stumble upon a verse, where I am not sure, I go into the Hebrew or the Greek. As you do with Arabic. Quran-translations (i think we both agree) may be faulty, when it comes to the details, but for someone, who wants to have a general understanding about the topic, especially if you do not understand the native language its better than nothing. Agreed? And you are right, some bibles contain more texts, I have a bible at home that contain apocryphal texts, books that are interesting to read and informative, but are not as important than the 66 that you find in most bibles. Did you know, that certain "books" were letters from people like Paul being sent to congregations, who asked him stuff? Some of them are lost. ALso a book called "Sepher ha Yashar" in English "the book of the Just" and others are lost. What remains is still enough. Protected by God. You can take a greek Bible, and compare it with my German one (I did it), certain words may change, but the context stays. Please don't just copy and paste texts you found in the internet. I agree, the KJV is not the best translation. But again. Still enough to understand God's character. You wrote: "Find me one authentic(!) chain that goes back to Jesus peace be upon him?" What do you mean? Jesus DID NOT WRITE SCRIPTURE!!! No one said this! His witnesses, even former enemies who started believing in Him wrote scriptures. 40 different authors, over 1000 years (old and new Testament)!!!!!!!! The concile of Nicea. So many messconceptions about that... Almost every member believed that Jesus was the son of God, and was God, Arius was against it. And by the way. This is around 290 years after Yeshuas dead AND RESURRECTION. Also, more than 200 years, after the last book of the Bible was written!!!! During that time, there were many sects, who had weird ideas. Those sects also exist in Islam, even today! The trinity, yeah... Honestly, I don't like the term. It's not as easy as some brothers in Christ try to portray it. Look. Jesus says in Matthew 28:19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" that's what the trinity is based on. And also many other verses, wher you can see that God the Father can reveal himself in Yeshua (or the Word), and his "Holy Ghost/Spirit". We believe that all 3 are part of the "Godhead". Some debate, that the Holy spirit is "a Person", or "a Force" [like the "Ruach'Allah"]. Let's don't do that here now. The term "trinity" is never used in the Bible. The same goes for "tawhid" in the Quran, eventhough we know that the Quran clearly states that "Allahu echad". Do you believe that the Quran has been unchanged? I hope you use the same standard for both, the Bible and the Quran. What about the 7 qira'at in the Quran? What about the compilation of the Quran... Do you believe Mohammed wrote it down, as so many Muslims falsely believe? I hope not. And weren't there contradictions during the compilation; because Mohammed's followers wrote down different things they remembered Muhammed say? Please! Be fair! Again use the same standard for Bible and Quran! What about the change of the Qibla from Jerusalem (or Petra) to Mekkah? Do you agree with me, that many Muslims don't even know about that and that there were changes in the beginning of Islam? I also hope, that I stayed respectful enough! Shalom! Selam! Agape! May the Most High guide us in truth! And Yeshua said that He is the Way the truth and the life! No one comes to the father except through Him!!! Amen!

@@amoscorvus The prophets are our keys to living life, they are direct people God appointed to show us how to live, how can these people peace be upon all of them commit sins? I mean, it’s the fact that in islam after saying their names we declare peace upon them, while the other religions don’t shows enough! I cannot agree with your point about Jesus peace be upon him for this exact reason, all of the prophets were sinless, not just him, and we don’t believe that he could forgive sins, only Allah can. I can name another prophet who was born without parents and sinless: Adam peace be upon him. Also, I never said Jesus peace be upon him wrote the scripture, it’s common knowledge that he didn’t and it was written by people who claim to have been with him, but what I’m saying is that none of those people who wrote it have an authentic chain going back to Jesus peace be upon him, MEANING proof that they ever even met Jesus peace be upon him. You won’t be able to find a single chain that’s authentic(!!!!!). While the literal term Tawheed isn’t in the Quran, read Surah ikhlaas, I wish for you to google it and it would actually make me happy, because I like the respect we have in our conversation. It’s only 4 lines. This completely destroys the idea that there is another explanation for the nature of God besides Tawheed. The misconception about the 7 Qiraat of the Quran is so widespread, because of "Christians" like David wood (the reason I put that in quotes is because how can someone call themselves a Christian, people who in the Quran are said to be closer to us in love, and be so full of hatred towards us and our prophet). Qiraat of the Quran is like me going to Britain and hearing people talk, and me going to southern US and hearing people talk, they’re saying the same exact thing, speaking the same exact language, just a different way of reciting it. The Quran is not different AT ALL in the different Qiraats, it all has the same exact meaning, no differences whatsoever. As for the retention of the Quran and making sure we have the same one as today, if I wasn’t so sure about the fact that the Quran is not the same exact one, I wouldn’t even be Muslim, because Allah promises us in the Quran that he will make sure it is unchanged. Let me prove it to you. The prophet Muhammad would receive revelation and have OTHERS write it down (because he was unlettered) and they would also memorize it. EVERY RAMADAN the Quran was recited in full and made sure it was all the same, in the final year of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon hims life, he went over the Quran TWICE with the angel Gabriel peace be upon him, and at this point sooo many of the companions had memorized the Quran cover to cover. This is because in the Quran Allah says that he will make this book easy to memorize, by the way, I don’t know a single person who has the Bible memorized, even if the Bible is longer, I haven’t seen anyone memorize even an equal size as the quran. Here’s how the quran was compiled: Abu Bakr formed a delegation under the leadership of Zaid ibn Thabit, one of the leading scribes. This delegation of 12 people, including famous figures such as Uthman ibn Affan, Ali ibn Abi Talib, Talha ibn Ubaydullah, Abdullah ibn Masood, Ubayy ibn Kab, Khalid ibn al-Walid, Hudhaifah and Saleem, came together in Umar's house and collected all the materials on which verses from the Quran were written. In addition, the verses memorized by the companions were heard as well. Each of them was asked to show two witnesses for the verse they read. The Sahabi Zayd ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) knew the Quran by heart but he was methodical in his confirmation; he would not agree to write down any verse until two of the Sahabah testified that they had heard it from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). I’ve given you how it has been compiled, and this cannot be disproven because the Quran had a written chain that is perfect, and an oral chain (the Quran was memorized by heart and learn orally as well) which is unbreakable. Now, if you search up the Birmingham university manuscript, it is a quran from the time of the prophet peace be upon him, and it is the exact same thing as we have today. There are lots of other manuscripts that date back to this time and they are all the exact same. Also, Marjin Van Putten, is a scholar who was given a 2 million dollar grant by the ERC to prove the Quran was actually preserved perfectly, and guess what he was found. It was the same. Search up the study yourself, I encourage you to. The Quran has authentic chains proving that it is the exact same, the Bible does not, just as I would expect the true word of God to remain unchanged. I’d encourage you to look into the countless prophecies of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

Referring to what this guy said at @4:23 Surah 5:82 “You will surely find the most bitter towards the believers to be the Jews and polytheists and the most gracious to be those who call themselves Christian. That is because there are priests and monks among them and because they are not arrogant” Ok, seems like a nice thing to say about Christians even though Jews and Pagans are called “evil” in the verse also but was he speaking of kindness to Christians or the weakness of Christians? Let’s not give personal opinions instead let Islam tell you also in the Quran about “non believers”. Sura 9:5 says, “Slay the infidels wherever you find them ... and lie in wait for them ... and establish every stratagem (of war against them).” Sura 47:4-9 promises paradise to whoever cuts off the head of an infidel. Though a Christian is “nice” as an infidel they would be included in the verses… again, DO NOT just take my word let’s look at Islam and use their example as proof… After the conquest of Mecca and Arabia just a few years before his death Muhammad order the caliph to conquer the Persian (pagan) and the Byzantine empire (Christian) Christians were slaughtered all throughout North Africa even today North Africa remains majority Muslim Countries..ever ask why? It’s because of Muslim colonialism via the sword… famously in the year 711 they took over the Iberian peninsula and made Christians pay the Jizya tax and Christians became 2nd class citizens in the own land UNTIL it was reconquered by the Christians and ultimately completed by Queen Isabella.
