That’s what drives me so crazy it is like a family reunion people act as if they don’t have any type of parenting skills when it comes to meeting the teacher they have the little children running all over my room touching this touching that I’m like can you get control of your child. And then the same thing let me see you now because I know I’m not gonna see you till next year I might not see you anymore whatsoever I love the part about an educator not an instigator that’s for sure pulling us in on their business.

I have been luck, because I have only have had children to not behave twice at my parent teacher conferences. 99% of my students siblings are well behaved when they come and most even the little ones look forward to seeing me. I am no nonsense and I tell parents at the begin this. I show parents respect and they show it to me. I also (out of my own pocket) do provide fruit, fruit snacks, granola bars and water to my students and parents who come. I return calls promptly to my parents when they call, so I try to make my self accessible to them.

Sienna Loctuses this is TOTALLY THE TRUTH! And another thing to yes when it’s almost time for the meeting to be over I start turning off the lights in my classroom and the door and the door is already locked one parent was walking down the hallway and my coworkers were cutting off their lights oh it’s over all yes ma’am is over who are you OK nice to meet you I need to go on and go before they lock the doors.

Why do some of them come in asking how little Johnny in class. And what can WE do to help Johnny get up to reading level. We?? We have Meet the Teachers on day 4 of the school year. I don’t know Johnny from Jordan from James from Julie from Jalisa or from Jacqueline. Stop asking me foolish questions. 😮 and Johnny has a low reading level you say? Why was this not addressed before. I teach 12th grade English. K-11 showed no signs of trouble? I give up.
