Nice job Josh! Keep developing more products as well. The poultry loader looks very well constructed. Great way to diversify the business right there.
Thank you!
So many dumb comments. "Hopefully he's paying the employees alot" Hopefully he's paying the employees what their skills are objectively worth. "He called in to brag." He called in because he's successful and wants to go to the next level. If someone else's success ruffles you instead of inspiring you, you need an attitude check. So tired of the keep up with the joneses mentality of Dave's audience. GROW UP.

@wittenberg5 lol, you're the dummy here. You seriously think in a 4 minute radio talk show chat that someone can expect to get meaningful business advice? Plus profit sharing with his employees is a great way to use the money, even Dave says how well he pays his people.

You are poor firstly. Most employees are overpaid. Imagine working a till at walmart making 20 dollars an hour.....overpaid. Takes no skill at all to work a till, you can be a mute with no legs and work a till i have seen it. If you think you can do better do it....that is the great thing in the US....start a business and cause you pay alot you will be rich as you say....DO IT~

No one thinks that they are actually replaceable, or that there is a market for their skills.
common sense really - pay off some folks, save some, enjoy some....
I myself would increase the payment to Daddy but take most of that and look at increasing revenue streams for the next year. If there's available capacity in fabrication, hire a sales person to fill that. And turn that into magnified windfall the next year, so you could pay Daddy even more next year. And continue to reinvest like that while keeping Daddy happy. I don't think paying Daddy off quite like that is really thinking like a business owner like he needs to be. Daddy benefitting a bit more from the good year is warranted. But not reinvesting Limits short and long term growth.
He can donate it to me, if he wants. 😂

@@ChrisBoulas Dude we agree. I'm saying no one is going to "take care of you" like OP says, people pay you what your skills are worth.
I don’t agree with Dave. When you’re dealing with that much money why pay off lowest interest first? Do half and half if anything unless you’re dad is hounding you to pay him which it didn’t sound like that was a thing.

To keep family fighting off the table it is worth paying it off first. This isnt about maximizing loses financially it is about keeping your life outside of the business at the optimal level. Taking advantage of your family is by far the worst thing you can do.

@@EternallyGod well he didn’t say anything about his dad hounding him or it being a problem, maybe they’re really close and he doesn’t care if he pays him back right away. With that amount of money I think it’d be smarter to keep math in mind to make more money in the short run, but yeah - if his dad just wants to be paid off and is hounding him - by all means it’d make sense to just get that over with. This guy definitely doesn’t struggle with simple math problems like most of Dave’s callers from his radio show do.

I once had a loan from my grandmother to buy a vehicle. I hated owing family money so I paid her off as quickly as I could. I hope Josh pays off his dad as quickly as possible and separates family from business.

@@MichaelMiller-ww9iy owning a family business and a car loan from grandma are worlds apart. A business is making money, a car is depreciating in value. Like I said it’s math. And it’s his dad. Maybe his dad would prefer him to not pay interest to a bank and pay that off first? I get it - not owing family money is a good idea, but it’s not always the situation that it’s a bad thing and needs to be taken care of first.

Sorry to hear that he has so many problems with the (his) money, but I betya his dad isnt sorry at all.
Wtf is this call? A humble brag? "Dave help me please, I have a huge problem. I have too much money!" Get out of here with that and leave room for people that actually need help.

The problem with asking these type of questions is that most people can't comprehend them... So for this guy to grow his business, he needs to ask someone successful "what's the next step". Believe it or not, wealthy people actually pay other wealthy people how to coach them. The lay term is "master mind course". Hope that answers your question.

Even great athletes need coaches buddy, and Dave has gone on the record as saying he is ok with humble brag calls because his show is one of the few places in America where success is still celebrated. You don't have to be a broke loser treading water to need help, you can be ultra successful and want to get to the next level.
