@@mau3785 I think OP meant it in the sense of: the opposite of someone constantly creating drama and causing panic.

When I was young, my only standard for any relationship, be it friends or more, was that they're nice. But after countless messy friendships and romances, I've learned that nice doesn't necessarily mean they're a good person, and I've had to up my standards as I myself learn to become a better person and understand what it means to be nice versus what it means to be good. I no longer want to settle for nice and nothing more. I want genuine communication and connections, and someone who works with me 9/10 times rather than fighting me tooth and nail the entire relationship. I don't have time for anymore toxic relationships.

My ideal type always was someone who understands and is empathetic and kind, whenever I spend with a person who I am about to have a romantic journey I always ask myself the same questions you just said.

5 years ago I would have said "charming, caring, confident, tall, a bit nerdy, funny". I have dated those guys and they are totally fine guys, but today I would say my ideal type is me. I enjoy being single and I always felt suffocated in my relationships. It wasn't their fault. I think some people just aren't made to be in a relationship. My group of friends is all I want

Don’t focus on looks or things that fade or quickly change. Instead think of who you’d want to go to the dmv with. Because life is the dmv, and you have to go through the rest of your life with your spouse. Grocery shopping, taxes, change of address forms, Christmas lists, moving, hospital visits, parties you don’t want to go to, chores, sickness, and the dmv. Who do you want to do that with. Someone who makes bad things better will make your whole life better. ❤

Im 15 and I'm petty sure my type will change as I grow older. Now, I have unrealistic standards cause my type is influenced by kpop and rom com webcomics. Anyways my type is: - Cute, handsome -Looks good with and without glasses - smart and looks good in suit - someone who I could really talk too - similar interests👑 - Can get along easily - Funny, easy going, sweet, respects and knows his limits, sometimes be a real pain in the ass ♥️👼 - Can cook - Can actually help me clean the house 🤣 - Everytime having an argument, we talk things through and pretend to fist fight 😊 And I think that's it....just listing kinda reminds me of wonwoo and JEONGHAN and mingyu but none of them is smart besides JEONGHAN but he's sneaky smart

honestly as much as nice looks can be deceiving so can a nice personality ,and trust me personalities ,if faked ,fade far quicker than looks. Once when someone you're only with for sake of their personality let's you down you'll be left with nothing to hold on into that relationship. tldr after all I think that attraction is long term far more important than we were taught

This is good ass advice I wish baby me had. Honestly nothing beats someone who you feel free and safe around. You never think abt how you look or what you are saying. You just enjoy the smiles and laughter the person gives you. And you can feel comfortable in the silent moments with them. Funnily enough my favorite thing to do with someone on a date is go to the store grab a bunch of snacks and goof off and sit in the back of my pickup truck n talk. Jus the little things.

15 year old you is me now .. Yes, I'm still growing and proud to be the person I am today yet so much to learn more in life.

Butterflies aren't good, someone you love isn't supposed to make you nervous waiting on how they're going to reply. The best relationships I've been in, there haven't really been butterflies she's always felt safe and comforting from the beginning.

Don’t wait on this person but also don’t rule out the idea that things could work out later on. I nearly married someone else and now I’m back together with the love of my life who was the first person I ever had a crush on as a child. I’m so thankful we didn’t work out when we were younger and that we both went on to have serious meaningful long term relationships with other people because NOW things are perfect and our relationship will last forever from this point forward and we wouldn’t have what we have now if we didn’t break up and lose contact and attempt to settle down with other people. I’m glad I didn’t spend sll that time without him waiting for him to come back and that I threw myself deeply into life and love and fell in love a few times with a few people etc etc but I’m also so glad that my heart never fully closed off to my soul mate and we reconnected how we have.

We wouldn’t be ready to be good partners to each other now if we didn’t have all those years of experience with other relationships and heart breaks and love etc. we really needed that time to grow and learn and change and be ready for what we have now, otherwise we would break each other’s hearts all over again. We wouldn’t know who we really are or what we really want from a relationship etc. so yeah I’d say stay friends, stay in each other’s lives but throw yourself wholeheartedly out into the world too and let yourself fall in love without thinking about “what if” or “when will it happen” with this guy, and if you are meant to be together as forever people you will be eventually, and if not then you’re lucky enough that the first great love of your life is still in your life and that it turned out they were meant to be A soulmate in the form of a best friend rather than a partner and you were meant to be with other people romantically.

I'm married now. 2 out of 3 is not bad and I found out kissing is actually a lot easier when you're about the same height. He's also very doting, a great listener, and keeps me grounded when my emotions are high.

Honestly the grocery shopping one hit me straight in the feels. I remember having a blast just waiting in a long line (due to COVID) with my best friend and just having a blast. He would make me laugh in the detergent isle but just randomly busting out in song and dance. I remember making a meticulous list of things and him being impressed at my efficiency. I remember buying a cold can of coke off the side of the road and him buying a few fried foods from a street vendor... But things seldom end how you want them to.

This is so true. I was really attracted to the person I could’ve potentially been with, but I stopped and thought about the long-run, because that’s all I wanted in the first place- commitment. Would we be able to build a life together? The answer was no, and I was glad I didn’t fall for the charisma.

Honestly, even now, my partner isn't my ideal type because there's no way I'll ever find someone who is going to be absolutely perfect. But I'm glad I found someone who I can have fun with when we grocery shop, travel, cook and plan our future. It really is all about the smaller things.

I have a best friend who is turning 50. Well, I don't think he knows that he is my best friend because we have such a big age gap but I'd say he is. well i'm shit at finances and i have never gone grocery shopping alone so my ideal type is just someone who isn't as bad as i am but when i was younger i would just say a polite boy who would make me laugh, now I discovered that is not enough emotional intelligence is so important and it's crazy the amount of people who don't have it🙄 I find myself annoyed everytime I realize men that i found attractive just one year ago become a chore to talk to because their mentality is so different from mine anyways yall stay safe😭
