Don't make the mistake of getting into a haram relationship; chances are it's not going to end well. You'll likely break up and you cry over the heartbreak and carry the mistakes and baggage down the line. Don't feel like you're missing out by not doing what seems cool and normal in media, popular culture, and imitating the non-Muslims. Islam has these rules to ultimately protect you and your Emaan and cultivate love in a pure way through marriage.

Facts. Every time you emotionally invest in a haram relationship, you think it will last forever and so you plan for that. Even Muslim teenagers but it never actually ends in marriage, it only ends in heartbreak, which means you lose a part of your capacity to love and trust. Then when you do get to marriage, you are already used to relationship failure and a haram setting so it may be hard to maintain a marriage. May Allah protect us all from this truly cursed sin.

@@noorkhadim844 That's a great point. People always talk about how they can't imagine not dating before marrying someone but if we look at the West, the majority of love marriages fail. Each breakup leaves you more and more astray from your fitrah and leads to mistrust. I personally made the mistake of thinking I would marry the person I was dating but then it didn't work out. I just hope people can learn from others mistakes to avoid getting hurt themselves.

@@Saadlolwhy mashaa Allah.. you get it. I made the same mistake. All it takes is a quick look into the divorce statistics to see that love marriages arent the perfect fluffy thing that the media makes them out to be. There is nothing wrong with getting to know the person before marriage in a controlled, safe, responsible way with parental involvement. But as for raw, unmanaged relationships between just 2 people, they are a terrible experience for anyone, not just Muslims, both collectively on society and for the individual, like sheikh kamal said.

Salam, Why the hate against teenage pregnancy? Why not get teenagers married? Is it prohibited in Islam? Or are you passing your views regarding financial status and education levels for the word of Allah(swt.)? According to the [Sahih al-Bukhari 5134 (Book 67, Hadith 70)] Ayesha(RA) was married to the prophet at 6years of age and her marriage consummated at 9 years of age.

Yo I'm not gonna lie! I was with Kamal El Mekki until the part he mentions where zina is the excuse for rape. What does that have to do with it? Rape is a completely different subject and it can happen with or without marriage so what is this confusion he's speaking about?
