I think many of us have had a Wayne-Rob moment; 'another terrific story Willie. As far as static drops are concerned, almost all of my bikes have been scraped or scratched by friends, parking attendants or security guards who disregarded my advice, "No, let me do that, there's a knack to it." For example, the two Vespa PXs I owned were naturally weighted to the right side and would always catch out an unwary 'helper' who slipped them off the main stand.

What a great bunch of buddies. Reminds me of the old days with my friends. You know, I think KZread has kinda filled that hole for me. Since I moved to California I've only met one guy who was a close friend and unfortunately when my gal finished residency we moved about 12 hours away from him. My lifelong friends are a couple thousand miles from me now. You and Mr TAYM have become buddies, whether you like it or not. 🤣 Cheers Willie! 🍻 Best of luck with the move!

you are fortunate with that drop , i hurt my leg today pushing a bike into my van as part of my house move , - the bike was crushing me and trying to roll back down the ramp [ it has no working front brake ] and i was losing power trying to hold it up and push forward ;; close call ;;;

"Just once - three or four times..." 😂. Dropped my 1200RT on Ashbourne market place 😬. A bloke who'd just got off a ZZR1400 rushed over and nearly caught us. Kel's did a Command roll off the back. I lifted it back up like it was nothing due to the adrenaline. Put the sidestand down and walked away. Half a pint later returned to find hardly any damage - just a scuffed engine protector 😊

Crash bars always first mod.Oil stain on smooth concrete at petrol station & put foot in it.Or oill,water on shed floor is another & common spots to drop bikes getting them in & out clip mirror on wall etc. Also your panniers hold bike up off ground 5-6inches which also helps as long as crash bars.Bar end caps usually get scuffed.You were lucky that your panniers held bike up a few inches otherwise gear lever or brake will dig into engine casings & scuff them up or worse a gouge.Put your wet weather over pants 👖 in one pannier & coat or tools in other pannier so have that extra room between bike & ground uf goes over. I always get bike out of shed for someone else cause that's where it will get dropped most likely or at gas ⛽ station. Sean will wait for you to get bike out next time if you let HIM near it again.Alot of drops in sheds happen cause your relaxed & at home & may not be wearing propper footwear etc that's why drops in shed happen.

@@2wheeledwillie395 Probably did my bike boots have leather piece that covers laces & sticks by Velcro Stylmarten Rocket boots best bike boots I had.Always in the shed I dropped a bike in shed clipped mirror on riding in but fell against wall & was little scratch on crash bars & bent brake pedal I managed to straighten 96% so was algood.

What's worse than a brown seat?? Nothing.

I'd have loved to have been around you & your mates in the day, it would have been a hoot I reckon ay Will. The bike looks fine these things happen. Good luck with the move, off to Spain next week, with a load of mated & wives, one of my mates is a 'Rob' , as in he's has stage 4 cancer, but he's indefatigable in the sense he never gives up, all the best 👍

@2wheeledwillie395 when covid happened he was on a ventilator for 8 weeks, they had problems bringing him out of the induced coma, he lost a lot of weight but over a yr later he was relatively good-- then he gets lung throat & neck cancer ( 2021), he's a fighter & positive attitude si that helps a lot, known him since I was 7-- hell of a character 👍👍

I bent my exhaust bracket on my T100 once. Parts catalogue didn't show it as a separate item. "That's £850 please" 😳 for the entire silencer. Fell out with Triumph UK over that. Especially when they suggested I simply claim on my insurance 😠

@@2wheeledwillie395 I know right. It is most definitely a separate part made of powder coated steel vs the brushed stainless of the exhaust. For comparison a similar part on the Interceptor is about £12. It even has a slotted fixture for adjustment. I asked them if they'd consider a goodwill gesture and provide one for me. Firm "No". So I accused their after sales as being manned by lawyers and accountants instead of motorcycle enthusiasts. I hope that hit a spot. I was furious as you can tell. Would I ever have another Triumph again after that? Absolutely, a T100 Stealth please 😂😂

Good to have you back fella 😊. I've been out most of the day today "tyre kicking". Mainly RE & Triumphs. Ironically, the bike that felt just right was a T120 Black! Bars, seat to peg angle, flat footed ect ect. But then again others felt good too 🤦‍♂️. Speed Twin, Street Twin, Shotgun, Interceptor, even the Hunter & the T400x! Such a dilemma Willie 🤷‍♂️ Just what do l trade in the ZZR1400 for?? 😫. Best regards, Mo 😊👍
