@@stefanymaes Well, I mean, for people who don't speak English or any languages similar to English, yes, English is considerably difficult considering the amount of slurs we have and the difficulty of our spelling (with silent letters) and grammar. Of course, there are harder languages, but English is still considered one of the hardest languages to learn, except Mandarin easily overrules that position.

I was born in Moscow and I know for a fact that Russian and Mandarin are hard languages since Mandarin is similar to Chinese, a logographic language while Russian has different forms of each word (hard to explain) called склонение (skloneniye), for example you can say “I understand” “I won’t understand” “They won’t understand” etc. while in Russian you would have multiple suffixes of that same word (Понимать, понял, понимал, понял, т.д.)

When I was in HS there was a rumor that my guidance counselor used to be an underwear model. Well one day when I was visiting the guidance office with my friend, she blurts out "is it true you were an underwear model?" Just a story: We were lining up for gym class, when all the sudden, everyone goes quiet. A kid just spoke into a walkie talkie saying there was a bomb in the school (there wasn't). And almost immediately, the principal, vice principals, security, and janitors came into the gym, and immediately pulled every one out of class, calling parents. I wasn't one of them luckily. Then after that ordeal, the kid finally gave in, and said he did it. He was suspended for one day.

I went to a Catholic school my entire life. While I was in high school, the seniors' teather and literature teacher got fired unjustly, for no real reason. Since she was very beloved among her students, they organized protests outside the school to express their discomfort with the situation and possibly help the teacher get her job back, which never happenned. The rumor was that my math teacher had something to do with it because, unlike the other teachers, she didn't let her students go to any single protest, angrily expressing it was none of their business andthat she wouldn't let anyone miss her classes. Few months later the truth was exposed: Turns out the teather teacher became very suspicious of the "friendship" between my math teacher and our director. The teacher (married with two children) and the director (a NUN) were having an affair. Once he was aware, my teacher's husband send his wife a letter about every detail that he knew about the situation. They divorced shortly after the letter went viral all over the city and the director quit her job and stopped being a nun.

Y'all schools seem so much fun, in my school there was just a rumour abt two peeps being a couple but they just don't fit together. Literally the whole school talked about it, even the teachers were totally excited about them. So what the loving ones did in order to prove t, they stood themselves into the middle of the school's lobby where everyone could see them and they kissed. Long story short: they snatched everyone's wig

I went to one of the largest high schools in my state, total student population was just under 5K. We were well known by other schools for the oddest things (some true, some not), and that was something I didn't know until I moved to another school one county over. The minute they found out I went to MHS I was bombarded with many questions. Here were some of my favorite: Q: Does it really have two cafeterias? A: Yes and it still takes most of your lunch period just to get your food. Q: Is it true there's a pool on the roof? A: No, that's just a rumor the upperclassmen made up to mess with the freshman. Q: Do they really lock up the bathrooms during class? A: Yes, it was to prevent skipping and smoking in the bathrooms. 2Q: So what if you had to go during class? A: You took a hall pass to a security monitor and they unlocked it for you, and then locked it back when you were done. Q: I heard from a band kid that went there for competition that you guys had a room with one of those big star machines and a dome room. A: Yeah, astronomy was rough though. Those calculations were not fun and going outside to catch a bus after that class was murder on the eyes. I had to quit being so honest and forthcoming because the questions and notions about my old school kept getting more and more ridiculous.

for everyone outside of our class, its basically a rumor. But as a person who was part of this class, its a disaster. Someone peed in one of my classmates tumbler, then we have some thiefs who stole $500 (yes, some of us are stupid enough to bring that amount of money at school), then my friend went into breakdown cause he failed to do his art projects, our class kinda did this secret riot because our advisers were kinda of an arse and didnt support us, we broke a tile and two windows, almost broke our class tv. The rumor at my school was that the reason we couldn’t use the vending machines anymore was because some kid came after school and used a flamethrower to steal snacks because the machine took his money. This had happened before I arrived, so me, being a sensible person, brushed off the story. Turns out it was completely true because now every year we have a whole assembly dedicated to why we shouldn’t play with flamethrowers, and they show security footage of the kid who did it. His face is hard to see because he covered it, and it’s impossible to tell who he was because he was wearing layers and layers of school merchandise. For all I know he could still be going to the school, because he was never caught.

Lived in Tucson around the time that Desert View security guard got busted. Our head of security at Tucson High got busted for selling kids coke. Crazy times.

A girl in my old gym class ended up getting pregnant from an eighth grader (we were seventh graders) we all thought it was a rumor because she had lied about this 3 times. She ended up actually being pregnant and had proved it because she showed us images of her dead baby because she had accidentally killed it because she was on anti depressants.

This is a long one, not true but funny: So at my school no one believed in Bloody Mary. Then one day in the boys bathroom me and some kid walked in and saw engraved on the mirror, BLOODY MARY WAS HERE We told everyone. Soon a rumour started that she lived in the drain. One day the drain was found unscrewed. Everyone freaked out. Later that week someone legit tried to do the Bloody Mary challenge but brought in electric candles instead. He turned off the light. The whole schools power went down. Turned out the schools main power was a light switch in the bathroom. The kid got detention for a week. No one ever knew who unscrewed the vent or who engraved it onto the mirror...

Was the main power source even anywhere near that light switch? Because that could’ve only happened for two reasons, as far as I know. The light switch most likely had to be before the current splits off into all the other areas, which means either it was put on the first split mistakenly thinking it would only control the lights, or some lazy asshole put it before the first split so they could easily blackout the whole school for some reason. Either way, if it wasn’t labeled or protected, it was an honest mistake on the student’s part and they shouldn’t have been given detention, but whoever rigged up the electrical should have known better and the school should fix that and never employ them for wiring again.

probs this 3rd grader at my school a long time ago

I kinda wanna share mine because it’s crazy. So it started on a weekend sometime in February. We were driving up to the place where we ski and were listening to the radio. On the news it said there was a 13 year old who had crashed a car on a highway in the town that we lived in. I assured myself I didn’t know him. The next monday I walk in the schoolyard and I hear rumors about how it was this one kid but I didn’t believe them because I’m not into gossiping. I walk into class and sit down, after like 2 minutes our principle comes in and says that one of our classmates has gotten into a car crash. Apparently it was all over social media but at the time I didn’t have social media so I was shocked that he was in my class.

When I was in grade 9 there were rumors of grade 12 guys smoking weed and roasting marshmellows and having bonfires in the garbage can in the third floor washroom. One day my sisters classmate locked the door behind them and so when they managed to get out the hallway and nearby classrooms were just flooded with smoke. :)

My cousin goes to Desert view highschool and she's told me some pretty weird stories about the security and staff and ofc about the students as well.

Weirdest/saddest thing to happen in my school. My PE teacher (till 2nd to 4th grade) was nice but wasn't the greatest teacher. When I was in 5th grade he suddenly disappeared during the middle of a semester. He was replaced with a (supposedly) good looking young PE substitute. Everyone was wondering where he had gone, the only thing the teachers/staff would say. Is that he was sick, everyone suspected he had cancer or had developed a tumor. In the last week of school (the week of my graduation). I asked the current PE teacher where and what happened to Mr___. Turns out we were right, he had cancer and passed away the week or day before....

A PE teacher at my school sneaks into the girls locker rooms and sometimes he touches the girls .-. A few years ago the school caught him and tried to fire him but he was friends with the principal so he still works here :/

A teacher at my high school beat his wife, still came back to finish the year. He had a few minor misdemeanor charges from unrelated incidents too.

The cafeteria lady at my school always looked sketchy, so I wasn't surprised when I found out she sold drugs to kids in the parking lot during lunch.

People were saying that my HS algebra teacher (Ms. F) was dating the earth science teacher (Mr. H). That ended up to be true but then a few months later, ms. F dumped him and got engaged to another teacher from another school. Mr. H was so heartbroken :(

I guess my school was just depressing. Lots of kids on drugs, kid who killed himself, teacher who died during childbirth, etc.

I got 3 of the best ones in my school 😂😂 1) For algebra 1 in 8th grade, in middle school, our teacher had to leave due to pregnancy. The substitute teacher was one of the former original teachers of my school. He taught the class for around 4 to 5 months of the school year. He was always so bubbly, kind and just overall a awesome teacher. Many kids started to question his sexuality as he was always caught staring off into our World history teacher. An overall he was just a iconic kueen. No one bothered to ask him if it was true or not. Our original teacher comes back and he goes to teach algebra 2 in the high school (literally on top of the middle school). From there we ask the teachers but none of them reply. The year ends and he doesn't come back the next year. A rumor started that he was fired for being Gay. Well, my friends older brother was his best friend, he told us that he IS gay and that he left his job to go back to study the fine arts in Brown University. 2) We had a bunch 8f new teachers when I was in 7th grade due to a change of principal and district shit. We had a new writing and art teacher. Us being nosy ass mexican-hispanic 7th graders noticed that our art teacher would be flirting with our writing teacher, even when he said he had a girlfriend. So we asked him if the writing teacher was his girlfriend. He said no, and showed us his real girlfriend. He would still flirt with our writing teacher, note that she was in her mid 20's and he was in his late 30's.well my art teacher got engaged and we began to talk to our writing teacher about him. She said that he did feel uncomfortable and trapped when he approached her. He is now MARRIED, and still makes time to try and do some fuckboi shit. 3) in the same year of having new teachers in 7th grade, we got a new history teacher. He was known amongst girls for sexual assault, and for just overall sexist and ignorant. He was a FUCKING history teacher. He would stand behind girls when they were doing their work, and slip his hand through any way to point some "error" In the work, while leaning in towards you. He dead ass did that shit when I forgot to put HIS name on my paper. Anyways, he moved schools the following year(thaNk GOD) . the teachers said he moved up north to work, ahahhaha nope he's under house arrest. And the principal still fails to acknowledge what he did, I luckily wasn't one of the victims

I graduated from Desert View High School in 2010. I have heard that this school's reputation went downhill afterwards.

Mkay! So basically my school's water fountain was trash. And when i was in 2nd grade, i said, "What is the water fountain is the toilet water, just put through a water purifier?" That rumor led to barley anyone for 3 months not drinking thw water fountains. Also, to seal the deal, the water fountains were placed infront of the bathroom.

i was walking around school during lunch with my friend and all of a sudden he goes, "imagine ms birke (administrator) saying to mr murray (principal) 'put your walkie in my talkie' (as they use walkie talkies at school)" this vid made me think of that

when i was in high school, their was a rumor between the teachers that a teacher assistant was sleeping with twins, or at least one of them at my school. some other classmates and I saw that they were really close as in they knew each other more than just at school. literally the next day a JORTC teacher was walking around school with a camera around his neck the whole day. then everyone found out that week that he was using it to catch the teacher assistant and one of the twins getting cozy at school and the cops were called. whats sad tho is that he had a wife..... who was our head coach for PE. and they had a kid together. poor girl didn't show her face for weeks.

There's this one girl who wore a ton of pads to school.. And once it all dropped out in the middle of the class and it was a good 2 minutes of her picking up alot of pads on the floor while everyone stared

Oh yeah, I've got one. There was apparently a huge orgy in one of the cabins on my graduating class' senior trip. Rumor about people planning it got around so fast on day 1 that most of the chaperones probably knew, which is why they supposedly got caught and weren't allowed to graduate. Not sure if the last part was true, but one particular student whom I'm aware has previously gotten away with a lot of shady, and some illegal stuff, wasn't at graduation, so I'm pretty sure it's true and he finally got a small percent of what was coming to him. Surprisingly this year's graduating class was allowed back there.

I know I'm so late for this but the reduced chance to see my answer for this makes it more special to those who do: We had a girl in school, especially in my N.J.R.O.T.C. class, who everyone thought was... "Unconventional"..? Well one day when we were gearing up for uniform inspection. I came in wearing my dress blues (Cadet Ensign; Weapons Officer) and right as I entered the door, other cadets silently chatting amongst themselves about insignia placement and proper shoe shining, this girl just randomly stands up from her desk and shouts "OKAY OKAY MY PARENTS ARE BROTHER AND SISTER." And the only one who broke the silence was one of the Senior Chiefs who said "Oh we know." The entire class erupted but nothing else was said throughout the whole school as that statement was just the other 1% of confirmation needed for a 99% sure inference.

Went from good luck doggo and good grades doggo and then updoot became more desperate and decided to threaton us to sub.

Of course it was in Tucson. I'm fairly sure ever highschool in Tucson had a security guard that could be bribed. Teacher too

Went through HS with this extroverted and friendly girl. Rumours started that she was trying to get every virgin in the grade on her hit list. Near the end of our last year, someone suspected that there weren't just guys on her hit list.
