AWESOME educational video!!! I learned so much, and helped me solidify my decision to plan a water-methanol system instead of the E50-E85, also because I live in Canada's west coast, there are few fuelling stations with E85. Thanks again!

I chose methanol injection and 93 octane. There is no dependable e85 near me. But i have run e85. Once i found out the variables of e85 i went methanol. Much simpler and you know what your getting everytime.

So for future reference I can do E85 and then 93 together? Or use both of them of which is available to me while riding? And another thing, what do I put in the AEM kit? Is it a certain fluid I put in there while I’m running either gasoline?

I went from 310kw to 413kw by using E85, works very well, but upgrades had to be made.

You only use W/M when you're on boost vs e85 at all times. You must have a flex fuel kit installed where there's no e85 around or planning to travel or you're stuck. Also is corrosive so you must use "special" injection systems to be compatible and so you gotta buy other parts to support the set up whereas W/M don't, as it's being sprayed from a reservoir not the gas tank. E85 gives lots of fuel issues compared to W/M plus e85 sucks in the winter. W/M is the way to go, I'm getting a kit for the summer, more convenient, less expensive and meant for daily driving.

Missing a few points, methanol is corrosive and does also attract water just like E-85. I'm going to be running both for the best of both worlds.

I’m currently running E85+ on my car but still seeing higher levels of heat in the engine causing my electric fans to constantly stay on and sometimes my coolant temp’s are very high. Is it possible to run both E85 and water meth to keep the engine temperature down during boost?

Can you run methInjection On a stock sport vehicle

I learned a lot I don't know much about but I love it when I put it in my Tahoe and it's $1.99 a gallon

@@StelaPop I finished the install back in February. I ran 3 gallons of water meth. I was satisfied with the results. Are used the 87 water meth tune that my tuner provided. But in March I had a hand accident at work and put me out of work for two weeks and then spent 12 weeks for therapy. Then I got real busy at work. And I never had a chance to upload a video about the install. But, I need to make time to do that.

Any proven e85 additives out there?

Considering that E85/Meth cools cylinder temperatures, does this also cool the pistons themselves? Also if it does, does this negate the use of oil squirters (depending upon the power you are making/if you have a high quality fuel system) on JZ’s or for that matter, any other engine without oil squirters?

You still need a lubricated cylinder so the oil squirters are needed.

What's your thoughts on nitrous? I got a 6th gen camaro

I have a 98 S366 supra 6spd. Been contemplating which route: E85 or Meth/Water injection. I have two E85 stations near me. My goal is about 650HP. The shop I have in mind estimates about $6500 to fully convert my car to E85 w/ flex fuel (parts and labor). I already have a HKS Vpro, 1000cc injectors, walbro 450 ready to be installed. I just need to purchase a quality meth kit (have the snow performance stage 3 in mind). Other mods I have are Tomei 264 cams, HKS DLI, and the usual bolt ons. What do you recommend? Been in this scene since 2004 and I've heard so many horror stories on meth kits failing...but with technology now, surely fail-safes have improved a lot better? Liked and subscribed!

I'd go E85 if you have access to it and since you're going to setup flex fuel you won't have to really worry about mixing regular gas with the E85 since if it's setup right the fuel map and boost levels should all adjust accordingly. With an S366, 1000ccs and E85 you should have no problem hitting 650. E85 will help spool up some as well since your exhaust volume will be higher. From what I've seen the new meth kits are more reliable than the earlier kits.

Why does my Toyota hilux sr5 5vzfe engine run better when mixed with standard unleaded mixed with E85 even tho burns quicker but it revs harder and it pulls harder? Just wondering?

Sounds like you have water in your system that the Ethanol is helping to burn out.

Intercooler or MeOH water injection? What is better? Intercooler works all the time, Methanol water needs careful tuning , correct?

For any kind of forced induction you should be intercooling the hot charged air. MeOh injection is a way to run more of that cooled charge air (boost) and mitigate the harmful effects of knock/pre-detonation. So the intercooler and MeOh injection serve two different functions.

What if you want to run both E85 and Meth? Any issues with that?

If your fuel system cannot handle delivering high ethanol content fuel, you can supplement Methanol to get the performance gains you are looking to achieve. Typically, only one is used but both can be combined.

Yes plenty use meth to cool the IAT temps and are NOT using it as fuel.

is flex fuel the same as e-85? Royal Farms has what they call Flex Fuel 104 I assume 104 is the octane rating which is about what e-85 is supposed to have (105) but I'm not sure I can assume the actual ethanol content. I'm running a full bolt ons Stage 2 Plus 2015 BMW 335i and am thinking about doing a meth kit too, already have the connector on my VRSF charge pipe so I'm set up for it. I do hear that the best set up for my car is running 50/50 meth/water and on a E-20 map if I'm on a stock fuel system. I assume I would need a custom map to really get the benefits of meth though, what do you think?

flex fuel means ur computer has a flex fuel sensor that can read and analize either e85 or any other octane ur using. 104 octane is GAS not ETHANOL. ur confused bro. E85 is not 104 gas octane although it equals about 105 octance it is NOT GAS ITS ETHANOL. theyre different fuels. u can run 50/50 but plenty run straight M1 which is methanol

@@TENNESSEETRACKHAWK negative, I not only confirmed with them that it's ethanol I've tested it now 3 times myself and it's exactly 83% ethanol as they said for the summer blend (76% they claim for the winter blend)

E85 is an ethanol based fuel and can be used if ur car accepts flex fuel or not. Get a clue dude smfh. I use E85 and I dont have flex fuel. I cant run 93 octane cause I dont have a flex fuel sensor. This isnt rocket science bro. Flex fuel means u can run both Ethanol and gas.

I got an alignment recently. They didn't and didn't hook up a ground wire and it caused the meth to flood the motor and ruined the entire motor. Done with methanol now. This was controlled by JB4 with all the failsafes too... smh.

E85 has 30% less power than pure non-ethanol gasoline. Run high octane Pure-Gas. E85 is BS!

@@damienfrizzell9394 NO. I meant exactly what I wrote. E85 has less power than pure gasoline when run in a naturally aspirated engine. E85 produces less HP than pure gasoline, gets worse gas mileage…. E85 is only beneficial in boosted applications.
