Some people have a perception that everyone thinks that this show is bad because lily orchard did a horrible video on it and everyone copied it

I watched Steven Universe as a kid, never even noticed the themes of representation sticking out at all. It was just a great show

@@ChristianGibbons777 not from what i remember, i don't think i dissliked any episode back then. Sure now when im an adult i can critizise the series more thoroughly but really the only thing i would change even today is the ending. Which i found pretty rushed and underwhelming

Me having grew up in a family where a lot us aren't straight with my mom being a lesbian my oldest sister being bi and me pan with the odd one out being my middle sister Steven universe always stuck out to me and I always saw a little bit of myself in steven i love the show to death and really need want to binge it again

I've never heard of this show, ever - but you present it so damn well, that I feel inclined to give it a watch. I've watched 1046 episodes of One Piece, and I can relate to the world building and character growth that happens over such large span of time - and how such makes this show an enjoyable watch, with a lot of depth. Although, this LGBTQ representation isn't new to animated media - as in the case of One Piece, where there are quite a few interesting and beloved characters (like Bon Clay and Ivankov) that are left with quite open gender identities, and others who just (sorry for the wording, I'm not an English native speaker, and I don't know what is or isn't right to say anymore) 'cross dress', alongside the island where Ivankov is from - where Sanji ends up (it's quite clear why, btw). For narrative reasons, it makes no sense, but it's more like it's a comment on social dogmas and common misconceptions - which is totally fine. It's a way of breaking the fourth wall, in a sense. Thinking back, it's not like kids' shows have kept stuff as sexuality as a secret, simply due to the demographic. In Naruto, you have Kakashi - who's passtime is reading erotic novels, "Make Out Paradise" (or something to that extent), written by Jiraya - Naruto's teacher - who is known by the nickname "Ero sempai" ('Pervy teacher'). Or in Hunter X Hunter, where Hisoka, an adult man, is shown to be.. let's say.. 'aroused', by watching the 13-year old Gon fight and getting stronger. I do believe such 'controversial' topics is an 'issue' in the Western world - simply because we haven't had enough time to process it to its fullest extent yet - and that's why, by it bleeding out through children's media, such as cartoons, it gets scrutinized and overanalyzed. Many animes in Japan, for instance, are heavily influenced by such themes - adult themes, but targeted towards a younger audience - packaged in a way that makes it relatable - and easier to understand. Just look at "Welcome to the NHK" - which deals with insanely heavy themes.... Times are changing, and so do we, the dwellers of the earth, along with it. Thanks for a great video. I really do hope you continue to post more videos, in the coming months - because you provide too much quality to just leave us with 4 videos in 2 years. Your content is impressive - and you deserve mad respect for that. Peace out!!

When did Jesus tell his followers to judge people for loving each other? Where's the acceptance, where's the understanding, where's the love for your neighbour? All the problems in the world right now, you can probably find the grace to not worry about people who just wanna be happy together.

@@BoneMachine1443 Because it’s against his commandment on the principles of marriage. Marriage is to be between a man and a woman. That is where we are to experience the pleasure of our union. Anything outside of that is a sin and an abomination in the eyes of God. A sin God hates so much he destroyed 2 cities for it. It is a perversion of his creation and the reflection of the union between God and his people.

And everything you just explain is why I hate this show, it's noticed but woke crap. I don't even think that attack was real
