This is going to be a random question: When you open the door or unlock the door on a superduty, the turn signals on the halogen headlights glow amber for a couple of seconds. Do they do the same on the oem leds for the 20-22 when opening or unlocking the door?

Morimoto has had bad quality control and constant electrical problems. Half the price; but be ready to remove and replace them within a year. Ask me how I know 😂 OEM is much more expensive but will work, and I’m sure if you get them from a reliable seller; they’ll replace them for electrical issues. Find them used as well.

Which is why they’re covered under a 5 year warranty! Anything electrical can fail, even oem. And *usually* oem is not covered under warranty if it’s not original equipment from the factory, but if it is, it’s usually 6 months to a year. Morimoto is also brighter. Personally, I like both options. Definitely can’t go wrong with OEM, but at around $3500 for headlights, ballasts, and conversion harness, that’s a tough pill to swallow for most people.

Very true, $3500 is crazy. Sadly I’m having to replace the Morimoto hybrids after 5 months. They’re sending over replacements but I just don’t want to go through the trouble of removing and reinstalling these hoping they last.
