Good review, I was an early adopter on the mevo+ and agree with your thoughts. For me, the data accuracy at the top end of the bag and ease of setup where key features which swayed the decision but both are solid products

Excellent Review Gabe! The Bushnell Is Great, but I think I'll get more bang for my buck with The Mevo Plus. Both are excellent overall, so I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Maybe slightly out of scope for this video and maybe you mentioned it in the device specific review, but any idea if the FSX skills option is available on the Bushnell once unlocked or with Gold access?

In regards to the bushnell launch pro, because it has to have a wifi connection, can I use my phone as a hotspot to connect so it can verify the license so I can use it on the course? It’s definitely in my plan to purchase one but I want to be able to get on course numbers. Thanks for all your reviews, I have enjoyed them greatly.

Great vid. Personally I chose the Bushnell just for indoor space requirements. I actually wanted the mevo plus and would have been ok with the cons of the device but I dont have the space at home to properly set it up

@@LetsPlayThru Outdoor space at a driving range does not have enough space behind the ball to get accurate numbers. Returned mine after having issues at an outdoor range in Orlando. Too finicky with set up. BLP for me.

I just ordered myself a Bushnell Launch pro. Previously had the Mevo Plus. I didn't like the Mevo as it just had too many quirks. Shut itself off, didn't capture a lot of shots. Issues with syncing with Ipad. Just too many issues for my liking. Hoping that all the great reviews of the Bushnell will make this a positive purchase. I primarily want it for my range sessions. May upgrade later to the FSX if I can build myself a hitting bay indoors. After the Mevo Plus I'm not keen on radar launch monitors. Looking forward to the Optical reading of the bushnell.

Glad I watched this. I was set on Bushnell but after hearing about subscription requirements it is turning me off. At a minimum the basic subscription is required which is a mandatory monthly fee? It seems like this is not just a one time purchase I just want to know an accurate measurement of direction , flight , distance and spin rate indoors limited space . I don’t need courses but I want to know what my ball is doing.

Great review as always. Good comparison. I have the GC3 and do gold option basically would take 5+ years at gold to get to $7k number. You could probably sell and get another device by then and still make back some money. That’s my thought anyway.

Does that 800 a year go towards unlocking the device? Like once you hit the additional 4k to unlock then the yearly payment would stop?

Gabe - i currently own a Skytrak (indoor use) and a Mevo+ (outdoor use). I have the Game Improvement plan with Skytrak and a subscription to GSPro. I am trying to determine if it would be better to sell both of those launch monitors, and buy a Bushnell launch monitor instead. I know you have owned or tested just about every launch monitor available. Would love to hear your thoughts!

One note on accuracy: On the range (or playing a round) the Mevo+ measures how the ball is affected by wind or other environmental issues, while the Bushnell only measures data during the first few inches of the ball strike which probably doesn't see the "whole picture". I think for pricing it would be helpful to compare the GC3 with the Bushnell emphasizing how the GC3 is a lifetime license. Nice review overall, thanks.

Any updates on the Wi-Fi issue for the bushnell?

You should do a giveaway with these monitors especially the garmin one.... that one is out of stock everywhere

Which would be best if I plan to run the software on an iPad Pro? I do not have plans to buy a gaming PC for the simulator and the it looks like that may be required for either of the upgraded bushnell software packages. Great video, thank you for the review.

Definitely go with a Mevo+ if you are only going to be using iPad. With that you can at least tap into E6 for the simulation portion

In the market right now cross shopping btwn these two. Perfect timing with your review. I initially wanted the bushnell for the higher accuracy, but i dont think i can stomach a $4000 software or $800/yr after paying $3000 for hardware already. Hoping mevo+ will be close enough to have fun at home in my garage

I have the Mevo+ and use it with 7 ft to ball and 8 ft of flight into a net and all my numbers are pretty good. The e6 data seems to be a little more accurate for the algoithem than the flight scope data. Was back and forth on these two and same as your commment. It really is, are you paying 2-3,000 or 7,000. Plus with Mevo you can get into almost all the different simulator software packages but with the BLP/GC3 they are limited or your actually have to pay a higher subscription fee than you do for the Mevo+. GSPRO is amazing using Mevo+ . A box of Titleist RCT balls is also a good investment with the Mevo, they seem to help and no dots needed.

What about indoors and have right and left hand golfers do you have to move the bush Nell with every time the right and left play their ball

Yes, you would need to move the Launch Pro if you have both righty and lefty golfers playing

Hey Gabe, so I have been looking at both of these devices. I would be looking to use these devices in a teaching/ coaching environment. The real question here is obviously the club namely face to path face angle and the such. This is why I would be interested in hearing how easy, and intuitive the mevo plus is at using these features? Do you thing the Mevo plus is better device to use in these settings?

I would say they are both equally as good when it comes to getting club path and face data. Both display it really nicely as well. I might be leaning Evo plus for those D plane views, But the Bushnell is definitely no slouch.

The problem with the mevo is the space needed. Indoors you need a huge space to make Mevo read well and it'll never be as accurate as camera indoors. Outdoors Mevo takes it slightly on features. So depends on your use case.

Now with launch pro price up $1k, but subscriptions having more data points can you redo comparison and preferences?

Great review on these unit....However for the average golfer who just wants some data , like club head speed, launch angle, smash factor, carry or total distance, and ball speed, and you can select the loft for each club...I think that the Ernest sports B1 for $ 550 with no subscription and great customer service is the Way To Go....OH it works both indoor and out door with out stickers.....Just my review...

If you just need basic data the PRGR at $250 is a no brainier. I own one and when I don’t feel like setting up my launch monitor I use it. It also records practice swings so great for speed training. Very accurate too!!

Another excellent, informative video. But at those price-points, I’ll settle for a few trackman sessions at PGA Superstore.

Do either of these have the option of integrating one or more cameras to show swing replays?

Mevo plus has multi camera options including the one on the unit.

I look at it this way, this is a hobby. Whatever gives you enjoyment pay it. Some people they are into cars, guns, and other things. My girlfriend is into horses and you can't believe how expensive those are. Yearly she is above the 7k mark. I just have a one time deal on the GC3 and it's cheaper vs gf. Now I feel I justified my stance of getting one lol.

I was having issues with the original Mevo. Play better was very friendly, but flightscope took months to issue a credit. I spent literally hours trying to get my refund. Avoid flightscope and consider another manufacturer. I now have the Garmin R10 and love it!

Great review but, personally, I would only give Bushnell three checks. There is no way that device can take a shank into the unit and survive. To say that the mevo plus couldn’t take a golf ball hit is ludicrous since you would need to physically turn around and smack the darn unit. If you are to drop both units, i wouldn’t give either a great chance of survival. Just my two cents. I would lean towards the Mevo for cost and feature set.

Any updates on the Wi-Fi issues for the Bushnell? - Will be using it in places where wifi is impossible to acquire...

It’s not 100% necessary, but you will get better results indoors most times.

You wouldn’t need stickers if you use the Titleist RCT balls for the Mevo +

Comparing accuracy indoors without attaching the Mevo provided stickers to your ball isn't quite fair. Additionally, the Mevo can download local weather conditions to generate accurate ball flight given wind, etc. when out at the range.

where is the discount code? I cant even open your description underneath the video.

You could probably setup your cell phone as a mobile hot spot and connect BLP to that on the range.

Yes that would make sense but I tried and that didn’t work too well for me either. The phone needs to connect to the Launch Pro’s network and the Launch Pro needs to be connected to the internet, so it made it impossible.

@@LetsPlayThru I asked Bushnell about this as it was a big concern of mine. Not being able to use it as a standalone device on the range would be a major problem. They said the unit needs to connect to the internet at least once every 45 days. Did you find this to be the case? Had it been 45 days or more?

Appreciate all your videos: In your humble opinion: I wanna buy a launch monitor in the 3k - 8k range.. •Accurate numbers are of highest value.. •Games & Courses and flimsy gadgets are non essential.. (also no recurring subscription fees or wifi needed as far as possible) •Used mostly indoors. My thoughts are, GC3, Bushnell, Mevo Plus, ES Tour Plus or Tiger Woods's Full Swing? - Anyone i'm missing? And which one would you recommend between those 5 ?

Easy choice for me - Bushnell Launch Pro or GC3. It's the same hardware. Choice will just depend on if you want to buy the software up front with the GC3 or "finance it" with the BLP.

Why don't you just use your phone as a hot spot for the units wifi?

How about putting

Accuracy of the Mevo+ improved a ton indoors with the RCT balls (or the old school stickers) Also the Bushnell needs markers on the club face to measure all clubhead data. These markers are not allowed in tournament play though. For a serious golfer it is just a hassle to put these markers (stickers) on and off all the time.

problem is you spend £3000 and then they expect another £800 a year to get the most out of it… £800.. Thats more money than an actual membership to a top club in Britain… Thats just no good to me.. Great vid by the way, from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I do definitely appreciate how transparent you’ve been about the *true* cost of the device in your videos. My question is: even thought the mevo+ pro is less accurate indoors, is it still good enough to enjoy using it for a simulator?

sorry i missed the response...yes I think you'll have a lot of fun with the Mevo+ as a simulator indoors. You could also look at the Skytrak at that price point if you want to stick to an optical device. I've found that one to be super solid as well.
