What’s Really Inside Europe’s Largest Medieval Festival?
Portugal loves their medieval festivals but in Santa Maria de Feira, located south of Porto, is the largest reenactment of its kind in Europe. It is full of acts, foods, drinks, things to buy, and activities to experience.

We drove down to Santa Maria de Feira the other day NOT REALIZING the festival was still going on.... then it dawned on me what all the traffic was for! Oops! :D Also, I'm #teamOLIVES with Cia! :D

Fun video. 😀 Expensive outing in the US? Got that right w/admission fee, parking fee (often separate), food, occasional ‘supplemental fees’ and souvenirs…all contribute to an expensive event. Cock-a-doodle-do says Cia. Hmmm…I suspect she picked that up from her folks. 🧐 Does she also know the Portuguese versions of animal sounds? 🐖 😁

Thanks, Maurice! Yes. The food was the thing that really surprised us too because at the different beerfests around they often times have slightly pricier foods. The cock-a-doodle-do is likely from songs in English but she does know most animal sounds in Portuguese too. They do them at school for sure. - Josh & Kalie
