I'm a bike enthusiast and MTB is my hobby, I'm pretty confident to say that I'm a decent overall rider and I can perform a bunch of tricks, and I've got a 700$ hardtail. Why would you buy a 3,500$ enduro bike JUST to go to school. It is pointless, just buy a budget hardtail if you want a Mtb, or buy a fixie. I wish I had that bike..

Rupusetä it’s a 1 speed so if your going downhill or uphill it won’t be very easy, plus the seat will be low like a bmx bike

KaputPictures there’s sparks and shrapnel flying all over the stanchions and seals. Even tiny stanchion scratches effect service intervals for the forks by months, and reduces performance.

Angle grinders will get through any lock. They will also leave very distinctive spark burn spots all over the bike paintwork. Something for second hand bike buyers to look out for. Also, if that was my patio, I'd be mad at anyone sledge hammering steel chains on it!

here's a top tip; don't ride your fancy mtb to school. i did and it got stolen in one month, never got it back (it had a decent cable lock on it.). have a nice bike for actual mountains, have a crap old bike for commuting. i speak from bad experiences.

BlackCatGaming and yet people buy expensive cars and no one complains about them not being to drive them to the fullest. (I own a giant reign advanced 1, I love bikes and I sure can’t outride my bike but I ride hard)

I don't call 15 seconds a delay... locks are at most a minor inconvenience to a thief. Locks aren't there to stop thieves, they're there to stop honest people from trying.

but what are the changes of a thief walking around with a cut-off saw or a heavy duty bolt cutter?

Nasional you don’t need any of that. Just take of the front wheel with the quick release. Leave the front wheel behind, and take the rest of the bike.

The best lock is beating the crap out of a thief when we see one.

What the heck is Lincoln riding his brand new $4,000 mountain bike to school for!!😱😱😱🤯🤯🤯🤢🤢🤢 Why not buy like a Giant road bike hybrid for about $350!?!?! You’re just ruining your tread on $120 Maxxis tires and asking for it to be stolen. But at least he can use his dropper post.🙄

It's Utah, tight knit safe mormon communities. Not perfect but pretty darn safe. I don't use a bike lock on my nice trek bike. My last apartment I never even got the key from the landlord because because we just left the door open.I leave my truck windows down 24/7.

I just have a hard tail 26 inch MTB, use it to go and come back from school 5 times a week, and I go to the trails around twice a week

Donnie Buchanan he should’ve bought a road bike cuz that has WAY too much travel for a kid, it has a dropper and all the components that you need for mountain biking (the dropper post, Danny macaskill’s ENDURO pedals, MAXXIS high roller’s, internal wiring and others) you do not need all of this to go to school, I agree with you abuse of the sport

You need bolt cutters with 36" handles. Much more leverage than those cheap, short handled bolt cutters. Thieves won't have the short handled ones.

As we all know, the safest way to lock up your bike is by the front tire, where it has a quick release.

Random Stuff In Oregon it is safer to lock the rear wheel and frame to a bike rail and lock the front wheel to the frame so you can’t take the frame or any of the wheels

I’m a bike enthusiast, it’s my hobby. The fact that he doesn’t know anything about the purpose of that bike, the components, maintenance, ect. I’m 13 and my Xc hard tail was holding me back quite a bit. I ended up buying a 2000 Canadian norco fluid full squish because of this but again, this was the cheapest option for a fs bike that still could do good trails.

My question is that I have been riding for three years and I am a machine at a bike shop and that bike should be used by people that ride every day

First he's riding a $3500 to school, then he's using a angel grinder next to the brake rotors with screws them up completely, this kid doesn't even know how to gutter up and has a full suspension bike, I ride every weekend, twice a weekend and have a $750 hardtail that works fine, he could have got a $100 bike from Kmart and he could ride to school

Best locking bike is the Sheldon Brown way, locking the rear wheel inside the triangle-frame.
