    The 'goop' also prevents noise, those coils can 'ring' with high frequency, it helps keep that noise down. The coating on the board is called 'conformal coating' meant to protect the components and traces from objects/debris and even liquid from shorting/contacting things. my opinion is its VERY well made. Would like you to find a jtag port in the boards and download the firmware for us! Would have liked you to show the part numbers on the IC's too

    They did go a bit overboard with the silicone holding stuff down, the high mass components, but they also gooped around components that are likely to trap dust and fluff and are in the direct air flow. If things get humid all that dust can become conductive enough to cause problems. Intentional or just getting carried away, difficult to say.

    So what’s the cells configuration for the battery looks so 😎 it’s crazy how much work and micro tech they had to put together and make it efficient , delta also makes something like these blue cells long and Bluetti anyways these cell look long tall . How heavy is the battery pack by itself ? We’re he fans brushless or only two cables for speed control , I mean there was so much to see hard to remember well I’m super happy you open it and saw and let us all take a sneak peek the guts of this puppy 😂 it’s almost impossible for a diy system to be as small and compact w that amount of power without overheating cables and so much fuses and chargind bricks .Anker did some quality work here I’m now way more confident to buy it and cooling won’t be affected when dust hits the electric component as it’s full of silicone protection😂 that’s nothing I have seen a charger where it’s all rubber you can’t see nothing but that black rubber and can’t repair it but also they made that other product for long lasting and water oil resistant I guess 😊. Wait so how many cells in total were in this battery pack ?

  • @AdamDeLay07

    @AdamDeLay07

    I don’t remember what the weight of the battery pack was. Has to be at least 75% of the total weight. Yeah it is amazing. Especially after look at how big my DIY power station is. This was 22 cells, configured in 11S2P.

    Thanks for sharing this video! Do you know how are the 22 cells wired? I am speculating it's 11 each and in 2 groups. That way it will need boost converter to convert the voltage from 12V to ~36V when doing car charting. A lot of power loss. I connected a tiny 20w solar panel (V open @ ~ 21V) it shows a 11W input power but after a whole day the SoC remained at 74%. I wonder if it is due to the power loss and some other factors.

    Thanks! Based on the BMS, it looks like it's 11S 2P, so 36v. I can't imagine how efficient it would be if it did have to boost the voltage up to 36v. Might be worth looking at adding a second solar panel in series to bump your voltage up to 42v.

    I have a friend finally receive the unit c1000 he did purchase it and he’s a tech anyways he was telling me he was doing deep test and it seems abit odd how did you got 110v he has all kinds of things for electric testing , one of he’s volt meter show throw he’s whole tests 119-120v but so crazy the pure sine wave fluctuated 60-68hz when nothing is plugged or lower than 10w load on the ac output . But he tried the surgePad “technology “ he has inrush meters and watt meter too , he mention he wasn’t ever able to get lower than 118v and that the test were all w induction loads well within limits we’ll , he got 1809w and after a minute the Ac inverter output shut down so easy he reset it w the app the physical breaker never flipped all this was tested with out ac grid power as the limit of that input is 12 A not 15/20A like on the output built in inverter . He wasn’t even 2400w he did push it abit more like 1850-2100w all plugged like you did on the surge pad connector side and all mix and never worked for more than 1/2 minute and the anker ac output shut down hmm that’s abit odd he said . He also tried with in specs vacumms 11A and another one with 4A and same worked for 1/2 minute he was still using meter inline and with the meter and got same bad results . It’s seems the surgePad isn’t kicking in or it’s a special unit you got 😂 . If this is how really is and only influencers reviewers got some special additions we’ll that’s not fair😮 cause it’s just like other sales man . He mention this unit isn’t worth if your constant loads are a total of 1500w when your plugged to the wall why I mention ? He said because there is a 12A input ac that will limit all ac wattage to around 1400w if we exceeds it will stop the ac output power until resumed making us think it’s a1400w ups unit and those 1800w are and will be only for when your on solar and unplugged from grid making your battery drain 😅😢 so yeah .

    This sucks abit as I saw the delta max 2 I believe did have xboost and that one does handle on 2700w but now my doubt comes if those unit are special only send to KZreadrs that have so much subscribers but then lower quality units are send to customers hmm . I now have doubts of the anker as you see there isn’t so much surgepad videos that do real live test of that tech and or explain the lints of this and other stations

    If your friend is having issues getting the SurgePad to work, I would recommend he call the support number to see if he can get things cleared up. I know the SurgePad only works on the farthest outlet to the right, not any other outlet. I know I’ve heard of some people mentioning that “influencers” get special versions of hardware compared to what’s normally sent to customers. I’ve never seen any proof of this but I would be ticked if that happened to me as someone who’s reviewing the product. It would completely tarnish my thoughts of any company. I know I never looked at the frequency, but I did see in the manual that SurgePad works better on devices that don’t require a fixed voltage. Not sure if that was a problem in your friends test. Either way, I would recommend he reach out to support. Something doesn’t sound right.

    One thing I just noticed today. I want to charge my C1000 off of the AC Power outlet in my truck bed for when I go camping. The outlet is rated at 400 watts. I have the power station set to charge at 200 watts so I wouldn't pop a fuse on the truck but it will not charge. The C1000 just clicks. It will charge off of the 12 volt from the car charger inside but not the AC power in the truck bed or inside the cab. Am I doing something wrong?

  • @AdamDeLay07

    @AdamDeLay07

    Ай бұрын

    Not that I can think of. The only thing that comes to mind is maybe there's some kind of "startup surge" that's causing the circuit breaker in the truck to trip? Do you have multiple outlets that you can plug something else into at the same time as the C1000 to make sure the outlet isn't losing power?

  • @ChadGerstmeyer-vr1sg

    @ChadGerstmeyer-vr1sg

    Ай бұрын

    @AdamDeLay07 The circuit breaker in the truck is not tripping. The click noise is coming from the C1000. It makes the same click when I plug it into a wall socket. It clicks and then starts to charge. When I plug it into the truck, it clicks but will not charge. Then, it goes through the process again. Resets and clicks again. It wants to charge. I plugged the C1000 into a wall socket with a Power Watt Voltage Amps Meter. The C1000 starts at 5 watts then 20, 60, 120 and then jumps to 215 watts. This takes about 2-3 seconds. So from what I see it does gradually go up and never spikes. I sent Anker an email and they told me this. Modified Sine Wave: Our power stations accept pure sine wave only. Some vehicle AC outlets produce a modified sine wave rather than a pure sine wave. Some electronic devices, including sensitive charging equipment, may have issues with modified sine wave power and may not function properly or at all when powered this way. Does this make sense to you? It really does not to me. It does if I am powering something from the C1000. Charging? That doesn't make sense to me. I'm not that educated on electricity though so it might? Thanks for your help.

  • @ChadGerstmeyer-vr1sg

    @AdamDeLay07 I plugged my Power Watt Voltage Amps Meter into the plug in the truck bed along with a plug where I can plug 2 cords into it. I plugged in a Milwaukee battery charger and it was charging at 60 watts. Then I plugged in the C1000. The C1000 clicked and the power at the plugged turned off for 2 seconds and powered up again. Then the C1000 clicked to try and power up and the power went off again at the plug. So it looks like it's the plug on my 2022 Jeep Gladiator. Any ideas?

  • @AdamDeLay07

    @AdamDeLay07

    Ай бұрын

    @@ChadGerstmeyer-vr1sg It almost sounds like the power coming from the Jeep is outside of the acceptable voltage range of the C1000 or like Anker was saying, it's not suppling a clean sine-wave for the inverter to utilize. I'm guessing the battery charger doesn't care what kind of power it takes in cause it's just converting it to DC power and storing the battery. The C1000 has to look at the type of power coming in because it might be trying to pass that through to the connected devices on the C1000. Just my guess though.

  • @ChadGerstmeyer-vr1sg

    @ChadGerstmeyer-vr1sg

    @AdamDeLay07 That does make sense. Such a bummer. I can charge the C1000 using the car charger, but the max is 100 watts. So it's a slow charge. This is something Anker should look into fixing because this can put a damper on selling their power stations to the Overland/Camping community. Thank you so much for your help! 🙏

    Speaking as a guy who built a 270ah battery with heating, (1) sb175 (2) sb50's 120ah bms, into larger ammo can. with a victron 701, (2) victron 75-15 solar charge controllers mounted on the outside of the can. it is insand how much they can pack into a little container. My 270ah battery is fed by 200 wats of solar going through yet another victron 75/15 charge controller, and to recharge from ac a victron 25amp 110 charger. to get ac out of the ammo can battery I connect a xantrex prowatt sw 1000 watt inverter. So I can say it is truly crazy how much for how inexpensive it is. My only dilemma is that when I built my boc i did not put the white goop in to keep things from shaking loose over time. @@AdamDeLay07

The battery finally arrived at the end of January after chasing and chasing. No sign of the solar panel bought as part of the power station package. More chasing, shipped, but the ups courier failed to deliver it, and despite us having cctv showing the ups driver putting it back in the van, they tried to say, "Not our problem." Anyway, threats of legal action due to UK law finally got a panel.
