Ah yah, Military Police we had the very little in the cruisers back in the early 80's. I like this set up. Why with these new administrators in university departments want to keep most of the traffic equipment out and no warning lights is a bit confusing. Cost down I suppose. Thank you for your service.

Red lights are specifically good at night not because they're dim and don't blind you, but specifically it doesn't ruin your acquired night vision, i.e. after your eyes have adapted to the dark, it takes half a second of white light to ruin your ability to see at night and at least 10mins to get it back.
Thanks so much for the tour- I'm amazed (but should not be surprised) how well and thoroughly you are equipped and organized for so many situations!
God bless you, Officer. Appreciate the tour.
This is probably the best tour of a modern Police Vehicle, very cool, thanks for sharing!

What a Friendly Officer! He is a pro and respectful. Thank You for enlighten us:)
Interesting way more stuff than we ever had when I was working Patrol. We didn't have a 10th of all that. Of course I am talking back from the mid 70's to the mid 90's. I also spent more than a decade as a Motor and had just 1 and a half saddle bags as well as a smallish trunk.

Great video demonstration! Fun fact about your light controls: Depending on how it's set up if you hit the "Manual" button or hit your horn while the siren is on you can access more tones or you don't have to reach to control anything besides the lights. I don't know if you already know this but then again great demonstration!

Great video, this is a great police offer!! Notice how kept stuffed animals in the back for children. That is so wonderful, domestics happen every single night. We all have fights with our spouses, sadly some turn physical and Mom or Dad has to go to Jail for the night. Also, the tennis ball for a dog protecting an owner is brilliant. This cop really takes his job seriously to serve and protect the public.

I have a 2017 Explorer Interceptor I got dirt cheap at a city auction and added aftermarket twin turbos from Japan. Grey with tinted windows.. Still has the LED spot lights. I like to use them when I'm on my property. I live on a farm. I also kept the steel wheels and put on knobbier tires. Seeing people slow down is hilarious. I'm gonna put in Recaros from an old car I got.

@@Justthatofficer the AWD in winter is awesome..since much of the roads aren't plowed til last outside city limits in the county. interesting thing of how obviously in Japan cops are different. Usually a cultural thing. Obviously here in the US as unpredictable as things are Japanese cops don't typically have to worry about. Some carry guns but not all the time. Usually Glock and for longest time they carried a japanese licensed S&W revolver that was in .38 lol talk about living in the past. Military small arms are the same: Old. They're so outdated its not even funny. They got Type 64 Howa's with wood furniture in 7.62 like the bigger older brother of the Howa 89 5.56. These would had been top of line 50+ years ago. You gotta sub. Interesting stuff my friend.

That is so true! I work in a university setting and of course we too have carpet. I remember when someone got sick - I had to use vinegar to clean it out. Not so good for the other officers to smell, but got the vomit odor out. Then after multiple complaints for the vinegar odor it went out to Steam clean (twice). We have had three new trucks since then. Rubber flooring just isn't a money maker for the dealerships.
Very detailed didn't realize all that stuff was in a police car
Great car for a great officer
Nice ride, that Motorola xtl radio was actually released in 2007 and was discontinued in 2014, now apparently, they now have the APX line.
Nice video, was just wondering, would you consider to have an extra fire extinguisher with its rack at the bottom of the front passenger seat rather than trunk so it's easier to deploy from the drivers seat?

11:56 The seats are made out of hard plastic, to make cleanup easier, and to prevent damages. The glass, behind the driver seat is (often) bulletproof, but (MAYBE) some cop cars have a side with a net, so they can communicate with the criminal.
Very cool nice! 😎🚨🚗🚨

I work for a POA gated community who has their own private security with a Chief, Captain, 3 shift LT's and 3 Sargeants. With an additional 18 (armed) commissioned officers. We operate Ford explorer police interceptors equipment very similar to this. The caviat is that WE are not sworn police officers but do have authority to write traffic citations and respond to medical and criminal emergencies. We carry full duty belts to include sidearm, oc spray, x26p tasers, asp batons etc. If we make arrests on property we call local LEO to come transport since our JD ends at the gates. But this subdivision is about 10 square miles with 7k plus people. It's like working LEO in a small town.

Interesting...I wouldn't have guessed they wouldn't tune them or at least upgrade thermostat or something...is this the ecoboost or naturally aspirated engine? I really don’t use it much as I really only go after full windshield tint, which you don’t need a meter for. Fines depend on the state, here tint is $113.00 fine.
