This has me thinking about solo games. My first encounter was early in my gaming career, with Caravan to Ein Arris for GURPS back in the early 90s. Then my older brother got into the Lone Wolf solo game books, though I only ever made it through the first one. Fast foward lots of years when I came back to RPGs in the pandemic and I started learning about so many things I had missed. All the Lone Wolf books had been released free, officially at the Aon project, though I still have never managed to get past the 1st book 😅. And I finally played the 1st Fighting Fantasy gamebook, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, though have never made it past it for some reason. But I also learned about modern efforts like Thousand Year Old Vampire, The Wretched, Anamnesis, and more, though I've only ever actual played one or two. I've also been enamored with solo systems for general multiplayer TTRPGs like The One Ring (Strider Mode), B/X (e.g. Scarlet Heroes or the old TSR solo adventures in the CYOA style), and Cloud Empress (Solo Protocol), to name just a few. There's a theme here, though: I'm very much interested with the idea and have a bad track record of actual playing solo stuff. So I like seeing when you actually have success with this stuff. Very cool.

Thank you ☺️. I appreciate you sharing some of your journey as well. I just find things I like & make them work for me how I want &/or need them to of that makes sense.

Looks pretty good but since it's based on Freeform Universal, I think I'd prefer to simply play that. This has the advantage of including a rudimentary oracle but it's easy enough to use the basic FU rules for that, or grab a free oracle.

Agreed 👍🏾. I was just searching games to try out and stumbled upon it. I’m still pretty new to solo play & games outside of 5e.

@@LegendsDiceCafe I'm sure people have suggested Ironsworn and Ironswron: Starforged to you for solo play. If not, they are definitely worth checking out. Another neat game that is not built for solo but lends itself well to solo play is Mazes RPG. It also has a really neat dice mechanic. There are so many really good games out there...

@@LegendsDiceCafe Have you looked at the 'Complete' version of Loner 2E? It has ~250 pages of 'adventure packs' in addition to everything in the 'rules only' version you have. The adventure packs are a nice resource. It has packs for" Fantasy, Space, Superheroes, Crime, Mystery, Horror, Action Adventure, Spy, Post-Apocalyptic, Pirates, Western, and Cyberpunk. It's great! You should pick up a copy.
