Great video. Really helps to see what you pack for on a hunt. I would love to see another one when it gets closer to Elk season.

I would suggest looking at Nemo equipment to replace that chair. They make a solid chair that sits at 1.1lbs

Excellent info and equipment choices. You may be able to cut down on weight / space by dehydrating your own meals. Peak are good, but bulky. If you wanted you could replace your Jetboil with a lighter cook system. Aluminum or titanium pot and small gas stove will cut down on space.

1st aid is a must. Nobody can think they are invulnerable. And why use deoderant on a hunt? This guy is carrying enough shelter to make a Taj Mahal. And how long will he be away? I use a Bergen for 1 week hunts in the deep bush of Oz.

Looks squared away! I’m a huge fan of the sthealthy hunter butt pad, especially for SE AK. Thick enough for your pleasure 😂 it’s actually good enough for the skiff ride out, so glassing with it is quite nice. Also love the high viz orange on one side, for the pack out

@@Joered21 can’t you just mind your own? Just nice to have a gear list with weights and prices and so on. I like data and gear, I assume Dan does as well. Separation is in the preparation buddy. Knowledge is power. Should probably use that pen and paper of yours to reflect on why you feel the need to insert yourself into KZread comments that clearly have no impact on yourself.

Easy there boy! It was just a question. No need to go getting all wound up and defensive. It seems as though your preparation all comes from Dan since you use his motto and want him to write down his gear list for you. Maybe you can get him to come pack you're gear for you too!

How does a guy like you with all that extra body fat get cold. Haha very interested to see how that Goal Zero works out for you. I have a few that I got when I was putting together power outage power options. I also like the small folding panels from Harbor freight but I only bring those to a base camp. They are a bit heavier then those two options you have there. They are still the same idea as the goal zero.
