Same! This is why I want to share these updated gear lists, because it's sort of like a chapter marker in my work!
Great video and great camera gear. I'm always excited to get a notification that you have new content out. Awesome man.
Yay! These videos are very exciting!
Great video as always!
Really liked this video. I'm always curious to see what gear other people use.
Thanks for sharing you inspired me to buy a Fuji x100F and I love it!

nicely does it my man! just got this bag myself. trying to organise it to fit my needs.
Great review as always.... now I know which camera bag to buy 👍😀
Thanks for sharing! Art in the heart ❤
Thanks for the video. I've bought, last year, the Lowepro ProTactic AW (1st one). I do like it: very comfortable to carry but it has some drawbacks. 1- the side openings to get the rig out without putting the bag on the ground is a bit small. I've a 7D with the battery grip, and getting it is most "extracting" it. 2- When the compartment for the computer is empty, there is some "floppy" fabric for the "bellows". And then the main zip jams, catching this floppy fabric. When full, there is no problem. Or we can add a rubber band to pull the extra fabric toward the middle. 3- All the separators are the same size, while not all the lenses has the same diameter... 4- The pocket in the cover are very flat. Maybe AWII fixes some of these problem...
Loved your video content. So relaxing to watch. Thanks for sharing.
That was very helpful. I particularly like the way you organized the SD cards and batteries for readiness.
I love you more after i saw the cutlery and the eco bag😍😍
Great stuff! It's great that you're always abiding to drone flying laws and access restrictions to vantage points whilst out getting your shots. You're setting an excellent example. Good on ya mate!
Love this vid bc it was so detailed!
Enjoyed it, very articulate and interesting. Would have liked to see a bit more of the bag itself.
Hey Joe and Elly! Thank you for sharing! It was really interesting to watch. I’m thinking of getting the same bag as you Elly, but I was wondering what you think of it?
Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed the videos from your Japan trip very. See you next time !

thank you for your introduction for gears iam enjoying watching your channal
Great video! I totally agree about the X-H1. I absolutely love it and I can’t see myself enjoying any of their other cameras like this one. I enjoy the size, the grip, the digital display on top. It will be a shame if they discontinue it.
Hello Joe, very interesting as always, and you hit the spot about the camera you use, being at one with your camera, is without doubt really important, great job, I think the osmo pocket is going to be part of my setup, keep them coming, hello Elly :)

Cheers Clive! The Osmo Pocket has been such a wonderful addition to my camera bag. Everyone I've shown it to has been intrigued by it, but it does require a different style of use given the different ergonomics!
Always enjoy such videos. Coming from you, i know just the essential things i am lacking and need to grab. Thank you Allam! Btw my AW450 first version is slowly giving way. Do you reckon if an upgrade is worth?
Love your blog Love that postcard... Sincerely from Malaysia😎.
Yes, I've been waiting for a gear rundown video for so long now 😀 6:40 I feel this. I have been using the Fuji XH1 only for a month now but in this month I took more photos than in all of 2018 (over the same amount of time)! This camera really sparks my creativity. Normally I do street but with this camera I'm also getting into architecture, landscapes and portraits and I love the results I'm getting. That you are using the XH1 for photos, also played a role in my choice. An audio setup video would be really helpful. I said it already on a past video, but your vlogs really have THE best sound out there. Always crisp and clean, even in noisy places.

That's awesome man! I hope there are more X-H1 users in this community - we all know the exact feeling it gives, right?!
I have an X-T3 and I'm in love with the crazy af speed and low light af performance... but man do I miss the IBIS, the grip and the AMAZING shutter ❤
Brilliant video
Good stuff man - I have yet to add a drone to my arsenal
Nice update to your setup :)
I’m going to start using the rubber band trick for camera chargers. Thanks Joe 👌

Always prepared!
I was going to buy a hex tool then I saw this! Bought the smallrig multitool with your link! And yes! The XH1 is good for stills and video. I know it has its hiccups especially the jello effect but I’m still able to make the best out of it.
I could watch whats in my bag vidz all day, having filmed a few myself. Would it be a good idea to split the gear between two bags? Save your back campaign.
That's a crazy amount of stuff you carry with you. I just came back from Italy, and I'm thinking of ditching the zhiyun crane 2, it's just way too heavy, even thinking about losing the laptop and just do all the editing when I get home.
Cool stuff.. I’ve been using the xh1 and x100f also though I used mostly the xh1 on a recent road trip as it was raining pretty hard. I recently picked up an a7iii with the Sony 16-35F4 but I have to say the ibis on the XH1 seems way better for photography at least.
Totally agree with you on your love for X-H1. This is my main photography camera right now, and just makes my experience wonderful. Ergonomics are perfect for me. The upgrades in body size, weather sealing, and slight control changes from X-T2 have really made this a great Fuji camera line. I really hope the rumors of them discontinuing are not true.
@joeallam

Glad you agree with me! I wish more people would give the X-H1 the love it deserves. Maybe I'm just in the wrong circles of the internet, but I feel like it gets so much dismissal compared to the X-T range (even before the X-T3 came out).

@@joeallam tried the X-H1, too bulky and slow autofocus compared to XT-3. For video yes, for photos get the XT-3
Nice travel gear. 3:58 mark, you can add a quality lightweight head on the Pixi as another option. It's works perfectly with the X T3 and the Fuji XF 16 to 80mm f 4.0 OIS WR lens, as long as you pull back the little angle control knob tight. Super stable for the size.
I’ve got that Sirui mini tripod! Super solid build quality!
Hi Joe! I’m heading to london... for probably a week or 2. I was wondering where would you recommend to go. Photo wise, and travel. Also what should I take note?
Great video! Do you miss any extra room? I'm considering the Tenba Axis 24L, which is a strong competitor to this one!
The aputure led light is a must have for sure 😎
Been following you for quite a while, it's quite fascinating to see how much your gear and photography style have evolved :D I'm a bit curious. Out of the three prime lenses you got (23 mm, 35 mm, and 50 mm), which one do you use the most for street photography and why?
Well done intro. Perfect! Whatever happened to your Fuji gear? 4:02 The Pixi Evo2 is half the weight and price.
Great video as always! :) Really like this background! I just wonder is 23mm worth buying as I've seen a lot of reviews saying it is not sharp enough. I like focal lenth, but would 18mm or 27mm would be a better chose? I will get 35mm f2 for sure , but I also want something wider. Had no chance to try it yet, as we don't have it in our shops for a quite a while. Any thoughts?
An audio processing video would be super helpful. I always notice how good you sound!

Thanks man! Literal music to my ears 🙂 I’m hoping to share my thoughts and learnings sometime over the summer, as it’s been a huge focus of mine for the past year or so.
Thanks! We want a view looking down into the backpack fully loaded.
will you be getting the 33mm F1 next year? I love the size of the 35 F2 and I love low light photography. I will probably end up getting it myself but not sure if I will end up loving it.
excellent utensils. I do the same at work!
Hello Joe, I like your channel. Would you please give me advise , which camera do you recommend me to buy . Which is good for both photographs and videos. Am about to buy new.Thank you
How did the f2.8 lenses serve you in Japan? I'm heading to Tokyo in June this year and I'm wondering if f2.8 is fast enough for night photos. Thanks for your insights in advance!
Not true Joe, 4 months in Japan is too short, you secretly would have liked it to be longer 😂 great to see how your gear has evolved over the years man. I still recall your first what’s in my camera bag video!
Does ronin s fit in your lowepro backpack?? Or do you put the ronin s elsewhere? Thank you! Love your vid!

Don't know why but I love watching what's in my bag videos 🤣 I'm heading to UK this summer, any recommendations for some cool shots?

Yeah there’s something really insightful about seeing how someone organises their gear. The UK is a pretty diverse place, depends if you’re after cities, rolling hills and green fields or traditional towns and villages. I pretty much spend most of my time in London and enjoy the dark grimey sights ha!

@@joeallam will be staying in the city most of the time. obviously I will visit the iconic places, just wondering if you had any inside scoops of uncommon places :)
So great video!Thank you for sharing. And can i ask a question, when i use my Fuji X-T3 taking photos there's so many noise on my photos, and for higher ISO it's more serious. However when i open the NR inside the cam, there is heavy smudge when i zoom in 100%. As far as i know it's common in Fuji cameras, so can i ask how do you make your photo sharp and clean with Fuji. Thanks!
I'm quite short, 5'4" to be exact. Do you think the 450AW is too big for me?
Hi! Would you recommend xt30 to a short film maker on budget for its video features?
Great video as always! Could watch you talking about stuff for hours, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Anyways, I don't think that Fuji will discontinue the X-H line. If you think about it from a product engineering standpoint it doesn't make any sense. They brought out the X-H1 relativley shortly before the X-T3. So will have known that it would be difficult for the H-1 to be an absolute banger in terms of sales numbers. However, to develop a new line of cameras is extremely expensive, so it makes no sense to discontinue a camera that was supposed to be your top of the line but was maybe released a little but too late in terms of product cycles. They said in the recent past that they are working on making the IBIS mech smaller so that it can be implemented in the T-line in the future. For this, they will have to continue the H-line, too. Also the X-T3 gets quite some attention amongst film makers, so imagine how an X-H2 will amaze film makers if it packs all the video specs of the X-T3 plus IBIS and some bonusses on top. Of course I neither am a Fujifilm employee nor have I bulletproof information, but from a product engineering stantpoint I am almost sure, that there will be an X-H2. Cheers from a happy X-H1 owner
@joeallam
5 жыл бұрын
Yeah I sort of agree with that, but if I'm honest I actually think a simplification/merge of the two top tier cameras would just ease things more. I just worry the X-H line will continually be just a step behind the X-T line. Unless we find ourselves waiting for an X-H2 all the way until an X-T4 comes out. But even then, I'd prefer Fujifilm to just add the IBIS, better EVF and grip etc. to an X-T4. I agree it was absolutely terrible timing for the release of the X-H1; likely due to the pressures of the Sony A7III success. To be fair, the only knowledge I'm running off is the discontinuation of packaged models of the X-H1 as body only. It seems they're only with the battery grip now, with body only retail stock dwindling. I'd forgive them for releasing an X-H2 soon, given the short life of the X-H1, but I don't think it will happen to be honest. Also, I never got on board with those heart emoticons. I still see them as ice cream!
The widest lens that you carry is 35mm focal length with Fuji 23mm. Do you find it not wide enough for landscape photography? Any plans in getting wider lens?🧐
Would you still recommend the xh-1 even now in 2020? Or are you waiting for the xh-2?
But i thought fuji only provided pro service to their gfx series cameras not the x series? Maybe they changed it im not sure but when i looked on the website it was only for gfx.
Love watching your video Joe! I am just wondering about the DJI Osmo Pocket if it is worth to get or wait for the 2nd version to come out (if there is one). I've been thinking to get one to replace my GoPro which I always clip to my backpack during my travels but due to the battery life, I decided to sell it off.
@joeallam
5 жыл бұрын
Given that the Osmo Pocket is still under 6 months old, I'd of course fully recommend it. However, I would just wait and see what DJI unveil in a few days time though - they've announced a press event and there's speculation it's an action camera to compete directly with GoPro.
My biggest frustration with my X-H1 is the viewfinder rubber constantly coming off. So disappointing for their flagship camera. Ever happen to you? Remedies?
did you think about or even switch to the xt3/ plan to switch to xt4?
I've been questioning my XH1 lately but for no reason at all. I think it's the lure of cameras such as the Sony A7iii. In reality any Fuji is more capable than I'll ever be. One question I have Joe is have you thought of switching out the f2 prime trio in favour of the 16-55 2.8? It's something I'm toying with now. I don't enjoy switching lenses really but the compactness and lighter weight of the primes makes more sense than the big heavy zoom. But I'm torn. Great content as always mate. You should be sponsored by Fuji by now!!!
Fantastic video Joe. What bags do you use when a small part of the gears are needed? Like whenever the backpack isn't necessary.
@joeallam
5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! If I'm going super light, then I have a shoulder/chest bag that I'll occasionally use. It's only really big enough for the X100F, Osmo Pocket and a coffee cup. Usually I'll just remove stuff from my backpack to lighten the load, but still use the bag itself.
Just watching this now (catching up slowly). The EF 70-200 f2.8 L IS Canon is (one of) my favourite lens. Does it the XF 50-140 really compare ? I went to shoot an outdoor concert the other day and just took my 5DMkII (that old) because of the 70-200.
Cool man!
I shoot on the xh1, love the 50-140 on it!
I have the same bag, actually got put onto it when I saw it in one of your videos ages ago, didn't want a bag that looked too much like it had camera equipment in! When we were in Tokyo in March I think it weighed in at 16kg carry on (yikes) but I did have an extraordinary amount of stuff in it, including all my batteries. Held up though!
@joeallam
5 жыл бұрын
Oof, what a weight! I don't think mine's ever gone all the way to 16kg! They hold up extremely well. I wasn't aware just how tired mine actually looked until I got the upgrade, because everything still functioned well for me after almost 3 years of intense daily use.
Love your videos. BTW are metal straws allowed on the plane?
Can MacBook pro 16 inches be fit in this bag?
When can we expect the newest model of the X100 series to release? Best, Ryan Weisz

May I ask, is your camera bag, the lowepro plane approved?
Fuji X-H1 or X-T3 for professional photos?

@joeallam
5 жыл бұрын
There’s a fundamentally huge drawback to vlogging with the X-T3 and that’s the lack of a flip-out screen. Not only that but it’s just far easier to manage filming and photographing with two separate cameras. Both cameras are so well geared towards these specific uses independently as well.
How long did it take to put all the links in the description😂
of wow..animated letterboxes, typical modern broll music, but no slomo. that's actually rather nice. not sticking to the basic "CINEMATIC BROLL" formular is something, we could use more of on this plattform
Cool i have both and six others , its a very good bag for some things , but not the best , no good for full frame pro lens filter photogtaphy , which is the main reason mines defunked ! For temba axis 32l and 24l , very similar to pro tac's with a huuuge pair of rear pockets ,
