I have been watching dramas for 8-9 years now & It was so refreshing to watch these ladies talk about all the things that they did. I agree with everything they said. Ek jhooti Love story is my most fav recent drama! Zindagi Gulzar hai will always be on top! Thankyou Girls in the twin Cities for taking out time and doing this! Never enjoy a podcast this much and watching it without a skip. You guys are really transparant and being so real about everything you discuss in this video, i just love it. *Sharing my story a bit* I grown up watching indian serials and never knew a thing about pakistani dramas. I just started watching pakistani drama in November 2023 and fall in love in the very 1st drama i've watch, now i've watched & finished more than 30 dramas in just 3 months. Alif and Yaqeen Ka Safar is my top 2 most favourite pakistani drama i ever watched, nowadays i really love and enjoy watching Ishq Murshid, Namak Haram, and Abdullahpur Ka Devdas (What a character & story!) *No hate to indian* but tbh I realize that pakistani dramas is produced realistically and far better than indian serial which i've watched & grown up with. • • To each of you who read this, Ramadhan Mubarak everyone... Umerah wrote two dramas, Janat Say Agay (geo) which was based on morning shows , very nice and Serialkiller (Green) which was on a Serialkiller , a decent attempt on thriller and mystery, plus Tumhary husn kay naam( Green)s script which was a beautiful romantic story with a time shift❤.

Duree mentioned one good common about greens entertainment dramas that there's no such hero or heroine. Also 1. they've not dragged dramas much no unnecessary flashbacks. 2. There's no constant bechara/bechari, characters takes stand for themselves 3. They don't seem unrealistic 4. All dramas are not good, you gotta find one based on your choice (though I like how you choose drama, by watching ost 5. hm kaha k schy thy was an old novel (2009-10 era) so it wasn't commercialized buttttt drama was way too much commercialized and different. Novel was 30% toxic as compared to drama 6. Based on your choices listing a few gems Jhok sarkar Noroz Dil na umeed to nhi Working women Serial killer (with many loopholes but kinda first Pakistani murder mystery) Yours truly Saints City Girls

i watched tere bin as a drama to roast and enjoy the chemistry of the main leads. Although it became toxic and hopscotch at the end and it didn't have a solid message to it; also had loopholes in the script -- but i watched the drama for my own personal fun rather than taking a leason from it. Also because it was extremely popular and most of the people around me were watching and discussing it.

What about "mayi re" I really liked the script it gave a really great message to our society! 🙂

36:39 This is so true this is what I also thought why these actors ( wahaj & yumna) never thought that the particular scene of ( tere bin) was really inappropriate and weird! Even though they are mature enough to know that!!!😏 Btw I'm just a teenager but I still have the ability to decide what's wrong or right.

Masla ye hai ke logo ko har waqt aap education aur special messages wala content nahi de sakte, society khud boht depression aur issues ka shikaar hai. Isiliye is Netflix aur social media ke waqt mai logo ko light ,fast aur entertaining content dekhna hota hai. Week mai agar 3 dramas issues based chalte hain to 3 dramas entertainment keliye ho to isme koi burai nahi.

Duree's recommendations are classic PTV ,green is producing balnaced stuff. You need to pick your watch as per taste and sensibilities.

You guys talked about parallel cinema,12th Fail .But there's no mention of films released locally in Pakistan even inl last 6 months so as audience who has reach and resoutces we cant really blame a commoner for consuming trash on TV.

Nowadays dramas are soo toxic that's i have quit watching them for a long time and i started reading novels and if you guys don't read novels you should start it right away but in novels there are novels that are completely trash but its all about preferences nemrah ahmed novels are like soo amazing that I can't describe it in words so if you want to read some good novels you should go for nemrah novels ❤

I think directors should be careful while selecting a novel story for a serial. Hum khan k sachay thay was a story of girl who was left on the mercy of world by her mother and not a single person supported her and circumstances led her to become a mental case, this story showed how a beautiful and confident girl's life was destroyed by her blood relative to the extent that she started to hallucinate. These kinds of stories are common around us but this story was not suitable for making a serial. Drama making requires the changes that some times destroys the essence of a story.

We only have good actors tbh. Limited good directors and even more Limited good writers. On the top of my head I can name the few directors/writers who you geniunely accept good dramas from. Talking about production quality, its the same few houses in every drama and no new locations used. Episodes should be max 24 but now they go to 40.

Well I guess you have missed the point then! She ofc has reasons to be cold with them. Imagine your mother's fam visiting her on her death bed and never bothered to come any time before. So obviously you can't expect her to be accepting of them so easily. There is a clear class difference also, that is where the whole story revolves around. You'll enjoy it if you see both the perspectives!
