I never thought anybody could do a creditable cover of this. Brother, was I wrong? From the vocals to the sax, down to the, almost Jamerson, bass line, this was great. It's as close as anyone will come to being as good as the original. They made it their own, without trying to imitate.

You know, people can pretend that they don't like Hall & Oates, but seriously, most of them love these guys and their music--How could you not? Still my all-time favorite group, for not only their own hits, but when they do covers as well. John Oates sounds great in this song. He is often over-looked, but such an integral part of the group. Daryl's voice is one of the best in the business. Both have true talent, and isn't it nice to NOT hear a computer box voice where everyone sounds the exact same?

This is just top-tier! The vocals, the sax lines, guitar, playing, the mix and balance, the nuance without imitation! I spent 10 years in a band, and I know what it takes to put a performance like that together! There’s so many ways to step on each other, and they avoided all of them and produced a flawless, live recording! Bravo!

I keep coming back to Hall and Oates when I need to really feel good. Darrell Hall's "At Daryl 's House" was simply fantastic as he mixed with old and new artists. While doing so he exhibited his incredible abilities with vocals and instruments. And, as said earlier John Oates is such a great contributor as well. I've been listening to other covers of Marvin Gaye's classic and was simply delighted to find Daryl's, and John's love for a legendary song. Maybe someday I can witness them in concert.

Play his song but don’t mention his name. I got a problem with that. Great imitation with the original recording dubbing in the background. Yes we are much imitated never duplicated. Good try. Marvin Gaye is his name. There I said it for you. It’s all good.

I have always liked Hall and Oates, but you do not see or truly appreciate them until you see this video. Such talent by every member of this group. I am 70 y/o, my wish before I die is to see them in concert. In about 15 years lol There is nothing more impressive than a rock band with talent. I have a lot of favorite groups, but Hall and Oates is at the top.

They are soul singers at heart. Daryl Hall made his bones singing backup for groups like the Delfonics, Intruders, Stylistics.

Marvin Gaye was a tortured genius. He wrote this song and album against Berry Gordy’s wishes and it became one of the greatest songs ever. Daryl Hall is a fabulous interpreter of Motown tunes and a great collaborator with Mr Smokey Robinson, a legend and master of music. Smokey is music.
