What's Ford Hiding?

Ford says it’s committed to EVs, but is the company actually hitting the brakes? Ford’s lobbyists are working overtime to slow down the transition to a clean electric future. Take a look behind the scenes to see how it’s all going down. Go to biodiv.us/cleancarsnow to learn more.

So why are they spending $5 billion building a battery plant in my town?

Because they can sell it if they win their lobby efforts...

Glad they’re fighting those ridiculous regulations. Maybe I’ll actually buy a Ford now.

It's not possible to charge these EVs when the temperature is below 32f without damaging the cells. Thinking that EVs are viable with current state of engineering is only wishful thinking. I look forward to the day when this can be looked at as a historical stumbling block.

You know that’s not true right? Like patently false. Do you even check these statements that you’re fed before you accept them as fact? Find me a paper that describes the C-rate charge curve of an NMC lithium ion cell with respect to ambient temperature and show me where it hits 0 at 0 C. I know you’re American and I’m sorry for that but I implore you to stop listening to the news/politicians and listen to the actual experts in the field. Better yet read a fucking book about battery chemistry.

You are so helplessly stuck under a news cycle and a political system that’s bought out by the fossil fuel lobby and locked into the mindset that anything new is bad and if a new technology has any single drawback it will be an abject failure.

They put heaters in the battery pack. It takes a few % more energy to bring them up to 100F and then charge them.

Nobody is buying overpriced EVs for a reason. They are junk.

I mean, that's provably false, but okay.
