Mohammed Qissi is the mastermind behind JCVD getting his break in Hollywood. To me it sounds as though JCVD was walking around in a daze, unsure of himself, no confidence ,lost and about to get swallowed up by Hollywood like so many had before him. Mohammed Qissi, I hope JCVD set you up financially for the rest of your life. You deserve it.
Qissi once again proves why he was Van Damme's friend/angel. Bloodsport could've been very different without the guys who played Jackson and Lin, 2 perfect characters! "That would make you Frank Ducks" "No, it's Dux" "Like, put up your Dukes, right?" 😄
Mohammed Qissi stories are so great and I love it. Viking Samurai I have to give you so much props and respect for doing these great interviews with Mohammed Qissi and Don The Dragon Wilson and keeping it peaceful and respectful from both of the legends.

Paulo Tocha would be a great interview series for this channel! Some stories about blood sport and death warrant would be awesome! Especially talking about the Paco character !
Wow Qissi was a lucky talisman for Jean Claude Vandamme and Blood brothers the movie. Awesome story🎉🎉🎉
Amazing background story. And the way Mohammed tells it in such a humoristic way, his laugh is infectious and made me laugh also. And absolutely can't imagine the movie with "the wrong Jackaon". I really hope you can get Donald Gibb on your channel.

enter the dragon is the best martial arts movie never forget that.
Incredible story. Best characters were chosen by Qissi, at the same time movie predator went from a B list to an A list due to Van Damme quitting a bug character. Win win for both. Awesome story.
When I was a child my father and mother divorced. On the weekends my father would pick my sister and I up and we'd go to his house for the weekend. In the summers we would spend a month and a half with him. When it was just Him and I we would go watch these movies. Every Van Damme movie released in theatre until 1990, we watched. Sunday morning into the afternoon was Kung Fu theatre on the USA Network to boot. Great time to be alive.
This guy could not be more different than tong Po. LOL. He’s so, humble and wise.

A big thank you to Mohammed Qissi for helping Van Damme so much in his career. God bless you guys 🙏. Thanks also to Viking Samurai for his wonderful channel. Good continuation to you bro. A super fan from Paris 😉
Mohammad seems like such a nice guy. Moroccans are some of the nicest and most hospitable people I’ve ever met. One of my best friends growing up was a Moroccan guy and he was great. His family was so nice as well.
What an amazing life Qissi lived. The best friend, martial artist, motivational coach, and now casting director lol an guardian Angel for Van damme. Looking forward to his book. Would love to hear about more potential movies that was planned. We already know about no retreat 2 no surrender 2
The entire series with Mohammed Qissi Rocks!!!!!
Yo Viking you have to Interview Jackson himself. Imagine that Bloodsport playlist! Thanks for another great video

Thanks a lot David. Bloodsport is the best Martial Arts Movie of 1980s, in my humble opinion. And very-very romantic film, which is little bit strange, for such action movie. Especially that famous scene, with Van Damme in tram, where Stan Bush sings “On My Own, Alone”. One of my most favourite episodes, from movies. Will be waiting for "Bloodsport interview" with Van Damme, if it's possible. He and Mark D. is my idols. Mark is more, but before him it was Jean-Claude.
This channel is a cinematic martial art nerds dream
Jackson, you going to go to Hong Kong? Jackson: I love anything full contact. I need a few more scars on my face. Boxer: But I heard you can get killed at that Kumite. Jackson: Only if you fuck up.
Every time i meet someone with the name Jackson i go into that Jackson bit. 😆 Sadly its a joke that less and less people get these days 🥺

The way qissi helped vandamme was absolutely vital to vandammed career, without qissi theres no doubt in my mind that vandamme wouldt have been famous , vandamme doesnt take care of his brothers , he shouldnt get upset over the car that qissi took because if vandamme had any heart he would know qissi deserves atleast 10 of them fully paid by vd himself
Mohammed Qisi interviews are GOLD. Thank you so much!

Been thinking for a while now for you to try to get the guy who played Jackson on here. Funny that he has become a topic of discussion.
Great Episode and Great interview. Mohammed Qissi is soo important in Van Damme career. Bloodsport was a great movie but to me If Van Damme was not in it, it would not be successful. Enter the Dragon needed Bruce Lee and Bloodsport needed Van Damme. The Terminator need Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rocky needed Stallone.
Never disappointed in seeing Orge in any movie or TV show.

It's funny how so many years later, Bloodsport is still being talk about. It actually got a lot of press when Trump was president because it was quoted as his favorite film. The story was done to try to make Trump look bad of course, but it made him more relatable to the average person and all the filmmakers were happy about it and it seems JCVD was pro-Trump even before that.
Viking samurai how close are you to getting Jean Claude Van Damme on the show? There's no way you didn't talk to Tong po about leveraging Van Damme to come on the show.
my question is,and forgive me if i missed it in all the videos you uploaded. BUT WHY was it so bad that Van Damme was in Predator? Just because he was in a costume? It seems being in a movie with all big names would have helped in the long run?? Thanks for the video David and Qissi again..
@VikingSamurai

It doesn't really do anything for an actor if their face can't be seen. Van Damme needed to be seen and get out there like in No Retreat No Surrender, that helped him get Black Eagle for example. Menahem got him for Bloodsport partially bc he thought Van Damme would be known and seen starring alongside Arnold, if Menahem found out Van Damme would be in a costume the whole time, nobody would really care.
