It was standard for us to say that someone in our group pissed themselves if they spilt anything in the area of their lap. We did this at work, the bar and while walking in a group, it's happened to me like many of my friends over the 60+ years of lifetime. I didn't think it was Irish humor just friends being stupid humor .. American here.

I'm not I understand that reaction. I'm in New York City and if someone spills liquid near the crotch region, you DO make a joke that they pissed themselves lol. now that said, my mother would tell me "Don't be crude" lol so I guess it depends on who you ask.

The pissing itself and the glass break cheers are also big in Quebec, Canada. Slán slán and to Alex "Kaplah!"

I love Worf. My favourite Star Trek series is Deep Space Nine and it gets really good when Worf joins.

Back in the 90's I actually learned how to say a few things in Klingon because of Worf. I'd forgotten about that till you mentioned it.

I grew up with little ditties from my Irish great gram and humor sometimes people just can’t tell if you’re joking or serious it’s hilarious

Not Irish, Canadian, and we too accuse anybody who spilled a drink on themselves of pissing themselves. It's only natural. As for favorite Star Trek character, Worf is a great choice, didn't start out so good, but boy did he become great. Chief O'Brien is another one that had am amazing arc. I don't think I could pick a favorite, least favorite maybe, but I love almost all of them.

You favourite Star Trek character is Spock, fascinating (rises eyebrow). My favourite character is Kirk because of Shatner's acting. 😂😂😂😂 It's not just Shatner, but most of the cast seem to overact. It was a pretty campy show which seemed to fit.

Elim Garak is my favourite Star Trek character.

Too funny about Dermot. I figured he either spilled it on himself, or someone else did, just based on his reaction. OMG--I do love Alex's Star Trek references. He might be on to something about you only knowing Nimoy from the films and not the series. The original series was considered pretty ground-breaking for the time and did tackle some important issues. The special effects, not so much.

I am from the states, but didn't care that Dermot pissed himself or not. As a bit of a Star Trek nerd myself I appreciate the part about Spok and the mentioning Commander Worf from Next Generation/DS9

1:54- I assumed he'd spilled is drink. We do the same thing, you spill on yourself you pissed your pants, you spill a drink on the table everyone yells 'Yer cut off' but nobody ever is.

I completely got the joke about Dermot. Besides if he did actually piss himself, I’m sure the footage wouldn’t have seen the light of day. At 2:28. The way you put that *insert makeup name here* on reminded me of Schindler’s List when the women were smearing blood on their faces to give them colour. Maybe it was the sharp contrast that did it. Star Trek character is Karl Urban as Bones.
