A great tribute to a legend. We won't see his likes again. In fact that whole era that Herb Ritts played a part in was truly a moment in time when the supermodels, the photographers, music and fashion in general collided. Just bought Claudia Schiffers book ' Capitivate' to add to my collection. Amazing!! The dessert/sea was Herb Ritts spiritual home and it shows in his images. A one of a kind! Could l suggest Avedon at some point?

So true. Heady times. Yes, Avedon is coming. So is Penn, Shore, Watson, and Liebovitz.

And I actually have that Album still in the plastic simply because it was the cheapest way for me to get a Herb Ritts image of my own. Never cared much for Madonna. I would, however, have this album playing on rotation in the studio because the models liked it. (Same with Duran Duran and Backstreet Boys... heh.)

Always humble, always helpful... he was a great photographer and a hell of a great human being. Thanks, Cornelius.

@@CuirPhotodotNet Thank you for that. Yes, Skrebneski is in the que as is David Bailey, Guy Bourdain, Annie L, and Aaron Jones. I am staying editorial and commercial but have had so much influence in my work from photographers like Mapplethorpe, Dahwould Bey, Paul Fusco, Mary Ellen Mark who are PJ's or fine arts. As a young photographer who loved music and photography, I was amazed and fascinated by Gordon Parks. So much talent in one man. Thanks for the great comment. Appreciated.
