This is probably sound advice for life. You can’t get caught up in the highs and lows of life and missed shots/ opportunities. It’s all a game. 9-5, School, life…you have to keep shooting. Don’t let a small shortcoming stop you from doing you or shooting the ball. You see this in other sports as well. Brady throws picks he even throws them In The super bowl but he could care less because he knows sooner or later the odds are in his favor. Gilbert is a genius. Sound advice for life because sports are a microcosm of life…it’s all the same. Not how you start but how you finish.

Gill sounds real good at time. He also has really bad advice. You just never know with Gill
This is actually really good advice for basketball players. Obviously don't take bad or ill-advised shots but if your job is to take a certain amount of shots, do that. You're going to have good days and bad days. Never act like you've never played basketball.
Bruh this was the best explanation I've ever heard.
Lol its insane how well this described the trust Ty lue gave Westbrook and the mental toughness to keep playing hard even when he shot 3-19 from the floor, he played on the 4th quarter and made the game saving play.

@bollocksnlilies

@Carl Snell That is a fact. What is also a fact is Russell Westbrook can only perform when he is the number one option and sometimes as the number two. That's why his stats are always good when he plays when his teammates are out. LeBron, AD, now PG and Kawhi. And most of the time it results in losses, since he is the only one available, that's reasonable too. If you watch the game, you know.

great show.. Ima be tuned in from now on
Facts not just in basketball, but life Rashad, how many misses do I go chasing my momentum? Gotta sit back and assess the situation.🔥🔥Then go back in the game!
If you go 3-17 it depends on the shots and timing to judge if a player is “shooting his team out of a game” because if you end up taking shots you don’t normally take just to get out of a funk then thats bad but if the type of shots are ones you and your team know you take and can make them that’s fine keep firing away. If that’s my teammate I can live with that. Also the kind of coach that helps with that I think is a player coach type
Gil's Arena Really Doin' #'s - ✅✅✅
Love the Jersey Gil
Such a good talk for all areas of life
Gils taking overrrrr 💯💯💯
This is really good perspective
How players respond to big moments is a great insight into how much they believe in themselves. Ie KD standing i. The corner vs the warriors is 16.
Nobody is ready for Gil on major platforms his insight is so real and he was actually baller who can score with the best of them and played against some of the greats
I needed this as a Player🔒 than you Gil💯
Russell Westbrook didn't watch this video from the other day I'm sure since he's busy. BUT This is Exactly what Gil's talking about AND what Ty Lue said about Russ. Coach Lue "I told Russ I don't need you to score, just impact the game" and he did. wasn't game 7 for a chip...im just sayin
Just binged watched like 9 shows, I hope ESPN or tnt offer you something after games because this podcast is good! Jennings & you are elite, love the takes. You should invite JJ Reddick

Put Gil on TNT with chuck and Shaq. Be a great fit.

Gilbert Arenas played the game differently and he breaks it down differently. No glazing but he a Basketball genius .
Rashad don't hold nuts lol it's his honesty
how come these little clips come out before the actual podcast or am i missing something?
BAD ADVICE IF YOU ARE HAVING AN OFF SHOOTING NIGHT FOCUS ON OTHER THINGS LIKE DEFENSE REBOUND AND FINDING THE GUY WHO IS SHOOTING WELL AND GIVE HIM THE BALL
That guy with that crown 👑 on never knows wtf he’s talking about 🤣🤣🤣🤦🏾♂️every episode he say the craziest off the wall mess🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣
They gonna repeat this segment when they talk out Westbrook.
Mccants has a lot of nerve
why is no one talking about Mikey Williams situation can we also get dialogue on the eastern teams the Knicks Cavs series ?
Agent zero should be on espn or fox he's a good analyst for me
Ant is really young...all the things they're discussing he'll grow into
I feel like nba starters should shoot 10 plus times and the stars on the team should shoot 20 times only ... everyone should be involved keep the team engaged win or lose
Gil loves Ben Gordon
Game 6 2011 NBA Finals Dirk started 0-6 nobody cares...and you know the rest. It's not how you start its how you finish.
Wish Gil would coach the Chicago bulls
Ben Gordon!
for whoever tryna discredit gil on this. what he saying really is if your job is to be the main scorer of yo team you cant just pull a ben simmons and refuse to shoot if yo shots aint falling. he aint saying dont pass the ball and shoot zvery possession he's saying dont be scared to shoot just because
I don't understand McCants stance at all. He talking like Ant is a 5 yr vet wen da kid is only 21. He act like he was leading any team at da age or after that age. And to say D'Angelo Russell shied away wen he had a down 1st half but came out and had a good 2nd half. He's literally da 3/4/5 option on any given night its not like he's "Da Guy" night in and night out. 19 pts from ur 3rd option is what u want. Other guys were n a rhythm y disrupt that jus to gt urs? He's also da PG. Rashad has a immature way of analyzing winning basketball.

Rashard McCants has no business discussing how immature a player plays. He tricked off his whole career. .
Mannnnn I like Mccants but he’s talking like he was HIM in the NBA. He was nowhere near HIM. His best year he averaged like 15pts 2ast and 3 boards. Decent role player but not HIM.
Lebron would pass it fo sho if he was 0 for 10. Don't think we missed that 🤣
