What Makes An Ex Change Their Mind About Me and the Relationship?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is what makes an ex change their mind and want to get back together again. Most people don't understand this concept and struggle to get their ex back or to determine if a reunion is likely. SUCCESS STORY HERE!! My girlfriend and I got back together after 7 months. I started watching Coach Lee's videos a week later. I followed his advice, and worked with Coach Rex on his staff. I did not beg or chase. I gave her the breakup. She would reach out every month or so. I never ignored her, nor was I cold. But I made sure to never be the one whom initiated contact. She even got into a rebound. I did not show her that this affected me. I kept working on me. She left the rebound, and came back to me. I have been really slow to take her back. She's going to have to earn my trust again. I've also gotten used to being alone during our separation. Listen to coach lee. His program works

This is one of the best concepts out there, and people are wrong saying "Never look back, only forward". If there was love, and they come back, of course you have to see why they did, but it's not automatically because the couldn't find any better. It could be that they truly saw your value and that they miss you❤

Tbh I messed up a few times my depression would make me break but the longest time which was the final time was 8 months. And I know that sounds long and no one wants to hear that when we are going thru this that it can be so long. But you have to stand strong and know your worth, be realistic with yourself if they don’t come back life will continue to move on. It gave me and HIM time to reflect on a lot of stuff and experience that “the grass isn’t greener” effect for him. -oh and another thing that I always wondered while in NC and he has addressed in his videos (is he thinking about me? Does he miss me?” When we got back together he confirmed all that and so did his family members. (Plus I turned off my social media one so he wouldn’t have a clue what was going on with me & I wouldn’t snoop on his page hurting my own feelings and two so I would keep posting sad break up stuff) I think when they are dumper, it’s their pride that keeps them away too. Feeling regretful. (I think coach talked about this in a video too actually)

My humble advise to everyone here: I know it's hurting you on New Year's to not reach out and contact an ex. However attraction only grows when you match you're ex's distance. If he/she wants space.give them space. If they draw closer and send a text..match it back, but only at that same pace. Let them come to you, as if they really want to start over, they will eventually reach out. (Btw: I'm going through it myself, but I don't want to push her quicker then she may need. And I'm not needy anymore and I just go with the flow now. And I say that after last New Year's we had an electric time together on both days. Good luck 👍)

I know I should, but man my heart hurts. My friends keep telling me to give her time and space and just reply to her with the same energy level. I really liked the opening to this one. That your ex has to change for you to get back together with them. I’ve had a counselor for the past year who has also helped me through the process of this break, and what she helped me see is that it’s not wrong for me to have felt anything that I did after what happened, but more importantly that I didn’t owe my ex anything. So often when someone is broken up with they analyze themselves to see what they had done wrong and where they need change. Too little attention is ever drawn to the dumper. Reminder for everyone: you are NOT obligated to fix what they broke. just because you may have made some mistakes doesn’t mean they had no choice but to break up with you. And just because they did the breaking doesn’t mean they were automatically right to do so.

Went NC and radio silenced for 14 days until he finally reached out with completely different attitude and asked if I could give him another chance. I took your advice to tell him to take it slow. We’re having dinner tomorrow!! Thank you so much! As we approach the New Year, I just wanted to thank you, Coach Lee, for these videos. I started really internalizing your words at the ~40 day mark of my recent breakup, a man who I was with for ten months with the hopes of growing slowly together - the first man I ever truly loved and left me to pick up the pieces of his pain. Regardless of how you feel for your ex, and if the breakup was good - how good of a person they were , etc.- they broke your trust, your heart, with (probably) no explanation of why. They hurt you and it is their job to find their way back to you, not yours. No contact is truly the only way. So all you can do is hope and pray that journey leads to you or to someone else who they hopefully don’t hurt as they hurt you. It’s not your job to fix what they broke. Let them lose you and as they do, become the person you were destined to be. Great regardless if they are in or out of the picture. Don’t let them go but also prepare for that possibility all the same. I pray that everyone’s heartbreak is eased this New Year and thank you, Coach Lee, for this content. If anyone needs anything, please let me know.

”That you have the ability, the inner strength, the quality of life to stay away from them”… Particularly the sentence “that you have the quality of life “… During the breakup, especially in the beginning, one thing that got effected was my ability to see my own quality. Instead, I defined myself through his eyes, his decision and what felt like being doomed and through the pain of the breakup to such depth that it brought down my self esteem and quality of life. For each day I practice the no contact (not for the purpose of having him back) to get back to my own life, I realize how far away I have been from my own values. Everything has been like a roller coaster when I have constantly been trying to make sense of the breakup and trying to gain back some self worth and quality for myself has been so far fetched. It is now I reflect and realize how much of myself I was about to lose.

I no contacted for 30days , 60days, 90days, 6months, 12months, a year and a half , 2 years, for a long while I thought the pain was never going to end , she did try to make contact on a few occasions but I stuck to my guns and I wish her well. No contact works. I created space and I eventually realised that she was only making contact to make herself feel better (ie she was testing to see if I was still available as a backup)

AM-gc1rk. Congrats to you. Here's something you will find interesting I don't know if you are aware, but Coach Lee has a live workshop called "Relationship Reignite." It's an incredible learning experience that I just can't say enough about. It focuses on saving a relationship from a breakup/separation and then keeping it after. It includes a coaching call each month for 6 months. You can talk to Coach Lee's team about it. I think the person for this is named Johnny and you can make an appointment with him to talk about it at myexbackcoach.com/relationship-reignite. I think you'll agree that it's an incredibly eye-opening and immensely helpful experience for you.

We both love each other so much. There has been a lot of hurt but I am confident we can still come back from this and grow old together. I refuse to give up hope. He’s the only one for me. I’m praying that by going no contact, and “giving him the breakup” he will realize how much I mean to him and that he doesn’t want to lose me forever.

I could be wrong but in a video of yours you mentioned that you are a bit traditional with relationships, but I want to just say that I’ve been watching a lot of your stuff now and I just started a few days ago my NC and my ex who is a guy has been reaching out and I almost fell into the trap of not responding. We are both gamers and he texted me if I was online and I just said yes and he grouped up with me and a friend, I left the voice chat and all that and eventually he left. It was horribly painful and hard to even focus and it filled me with rage honestly. I’m just thankful I found your channel and honestly feel like I will get through this.

Well friends, it finally happened. She reached out. After almost 6 months. It was a weird breakup. I was actually the one who said I would back up and leave her be. But only after over 6 months of being pushed away. There were a couple texts very early on from her and then silence. It was very difficult to remain silent through her birthday and the holidays. But I did not give in. And honestly, after not hearing from her through the holidays, I was even more convinced that I would never hear from her ever again. And then last night, out of thin air, I heard that all too familiar text tone. Listen friends, heed Coach Lee. For your sake, not the sake of whatever relationship brought you to him. I know that may be hard to digest but do it anyway. Stay the course!

I actually made the mistake of reaching out to my ex over new years, just to briefly wish them a happy new year. They responded with a long message, telling me, that they were glad I was reaching out, how they had done a lot of thinking, how thankful they were and never told me often enough, that they were in a bad spot emotionally during the time we met and how I "caught" them during that difficult time and how they hoped I was doing well. I was just thinking "Yeah, you already thanked me by throwing me away like a used toy". I simply told them, "Thanks, I am better than ever" and "I have some more of your stuff, I will be mailing that to you if it's okay." I feel like, I might have been too cold, but their message made me angry. Like they used me and then threw me away and now they feel all good about themselves. They shouldn't be thanking me, they should apologize for hurting me. At least that's what I feel like.

I played your videos/break up kit over and over when my special person left me for somebody else over a year ago. My special person was in deep limerence with someone over a decade, had known the limerant object before ever meeting me. That person (limerant object) expressed a small desire for a relationship with my special person, and so I was dumped. But that fire was put out after my special person had a showdown and was disappointed in the response. So they came back to me. And our relationship has been getting better all the time. I have friends who don't allow their ex to feel the break-up. This I think made all the difference. My beloved gets very upset now thinking how they lost me.

My ex is in a rebound and for new years I saw he was online on discord, asked he why he isn't celebrating with the rest in the discord server (they were originally his friends), encouraging him to celebrate with them, and then wished him a happy new year and hope it's a good one. He didn't reply to any of my messages, but that was fine by me as I wasn't expecting anything back. I know Lee tells us to keep our distance and not congratulate them etc, but I just felt like it was right to wish him a happy new years. Apparently this made his new girlfriend super jealous and they had a fight about it. Today he even invited his other friends to join when they go to the big city in two weeks, something he NEVER did when we did stuff together, as he always wanted it to be just the two of us. I feel like that relationship is finally falling apart, and it feels amazing. Not because I want him or the relationship anything bad(ok kinda do, but you know the feeling), but because it makes it clear to me how much I've grown and how far I've come these past 3.5 months. I still want him, but I'm at that point where I would be totally fine without him too. I feel so much better and more confident in myself, and if he now comes crawling back I will be in control and demand to be treated right. If he can't do that, I will leave and never look back. Thank you Lee for helping me get to where I am today!

I have a success story except mine is that I never got back together with my ex of 11 years. In the past 6 months, I've learned that it wasnt me. It's not my loss and I'll never ever go crawling back to her. The time I've spent in no contact allowed me to really think about things. I had time to think about all the problems we had and we just were not compatible in any way. Total mismatch. She treated me poorly, gas lit me all the time, blamed me for things I didnt do, made me feel bad for being normal when she was the abnormal person. Anyways, my success is that I've become indifferent towards her. In the beginning I would have anything to get her back but now I dont want anything to do with her. The disrespect I put up with was unfair to me. Never again. The time apart made me realize shes a very toxic person with deep roots trauma and she lives off drama. I cant be apart of any more. Whether she stays single or dates, I feel sorry for who ever she ends up with because she'll make his life hell too or they'll be mutually miserable. Either way I dont care. I knew it was the right decision to put her in the past because I started feeling happy again, I'm content with life and people around noticed I looked and acted happier and was friendlier and more enjoyable than I've ever been. This tells me I was not in a good relationship. I'm taking time to be alone and enjoy the peace and quiet of solitude. I'll start entertaining new women when I feel I'm ready for a romantic companion again and this time I'll choose someone who compatible with me, someone who feels, thinks and acts like I do. I'll meet that person in due time. Until then I'm happy just being me. That's my success story.

His mom texted me to check on me and I didn’t respond back to her…I kinda feel bad, but don’t., he knows I’m about to get a new phone and I’ll have a new number so I guess that can be my excuse for not responding back to his mom. When I do get my phone should I give them my number or continue with no contact and have HIM question me about why I haven’t responded to his mom. When this happens it’ll only be via social media…I love him, but I love me too. What doesn’t come out in the wash definitely comes out in the rinse!!! Hi coach Lee, would you be able to give some quick advice for me? I initiated no contact with my Ex 2 days ago. New Years Eve is soon to come, and I expect her to say "Happy New Years" because she did the same with Christmas. If she says "Happy New Years" and continues with some small talk mixed in, should I just say "Happy New Years" and leave it or, should I go with the small contact back?

My ex broke up with me and said he “lost feelings and doesn’t know why”. then i found out he had another girl 2 weeks later, a rebound. I am the last thing on his mind anymore now after we were together for so long. He somehow just switched one day and completely ghosted me and seems to be fine not talking to me. He doesn’t even care that he hurt me like he did and is doing just fine without talking to me. Im feeling the breakup more than anything but he isn’t having to because he is in another relationship as a distraction. I don’t think he feels regret or guilty for it.

Joyce, I was in a 5 year relationship with a toxic person. We were engaged to be married. I had no idea he never had any intentions of marrying me. He USED me, and I left him. I found out 2 weeks after we broke up, he rebounded and married her in 2 weeks. Sometimes it's a BLESSING that these guys are GONE ! You can do much better. Stay strong, and good luck to you...⚘️⚘️

Hey Coach Lee, I'm sooo thankful I found your KZread channel. My ex broke up with me 4 days before Christmas & sent me back to the states. We moved to Bali together after dating for 2 months (ik crazy) then broke up after dating & living together for an additional 2 months in Bali. I decided to block him on social media because I didn't want to see all the fun things he was doing in 100° weather while I'm currently freezing in my home town lol. Plus I tend to stalk & just don't have time to further torture myself. I begged for 2 days straight & on my last night there I didn't come home so he assumed I hooked up w/another guy, he then proceeded to tell me that it was my last test to see if I wanted him or the lifestyle & I failed. I think he just needed a ego booster bc after 2 days of begging, I got all dolled up & acted like I was content w/his decision & then didn't come home, so I think he was amazed I stopped begging. We kept in contact up until Xmas only bc my flights got cancelled & I needed help w/hotel rooms. I said my goodbyes on Xmas & he hit me up on the 27th asking about filing a claim w/my travel insurance so I could get reimbursed for the hotel fees. I answered only bc I could use the $$, but once I receive the hotel receipts I plan on starting NC. However, seeing another video of yours you say not to block them bc that's childish...does my reasoning make sense considering the unique situation? Plus I think it would look even more childish to block & unblock him so quickly?

Yes, it might look childish and unstable to unblock him so soon after you blocked him. So just leave it.

Ok thank you coach Lee! He reached out 5 days after NC, just casual conversation for now 1 or 2 texts a day the past 3 days....I honestly wish he would have took some more time, but he knows I'm pretty much starting my life over & maybe genuinely concerned, So I'll take it slow until I can gage his intentions!

Algiers, there is a video in Coach Lee's Library about DUMPERS & DUMPEES. Check out the Library regarding being Dumped. He has a large Library. Also, I would recommend Coach Lee's Emergency Breakup Kit. It's terrific! myexbackcoach.com/ebk

Last night i thought about posting something fancy on instagram to make my ex miss me but then i got stopped by a thought. ”What am i doing? Who am i becoming? Its mot fun to manipulate like this. Maybe i can just accept that he dont think i am attractive. I am tired of Living in the ego. I then listened to echart tolle in i video where he talks about how to get out of the ego and i realised that our whole relationship got destroyed by we Living in our egos. And i decided that now its time for me to stop doing that. I felt that i was in the body and not so much in the head through the eavning and i felt really peaceful. I remembered what echart Said ”if you let go of needyness good things Will come easy to you”. Today i woke up to a text from my ex. He wrote that he can’t stop think about me and he want to meet up. It has got 3 months since the breakup. I feel that i dont need him and that universe is on my side. If he wants me back he has to change. I feel happy and peaceful with or without him. Never thought i would write here. I was so sure he did not miss me. He was supercold. This is almost like magic.

Hi coach! I'm wondering how long my NC really is so far- after an 8 year relationship, we broke up in the beginning of December and I left immediately (we were both very upset, crying etc, I think I felt too proud to stay any longer). Didn't really know about NC but just thought silence is the only right thing to do- I didn't know what to say anyway, I had always been a needy girlfriend (texting, kinda jealous of his time with friends etc. Nothing crazy though), and he did actually ask for some space as he wants to see a therapist to deal with some issues he has. We even said during the 'breakup chat' that we only have love for each other, and we weren't fighting. So I didn't speak to him at all for weeks, but I did message to wish him a merry Christmas- he replied in a friendly manner, and we exchanged a few jokey messages but it didn't go any further- and I didn't expect it to. Does that count as breaking NC? Looking back I wish I didn't do that, but glad I didn't act desperate or talk about the relationship in any way. Not sure if that reset my NC, if only I had seen your videos before that!
