Great video. I think the teams that the players face also must be accounted for though. Luka has come into the western conference with LOADED west teams that are real good, and still dominating. I would give Luka more credit just due to the fact that he has had to play against one of the best defenders ever in basketball history in Kawhi for both his playoffs performances.

That’s not possible in this NBA once one player starts dominating, other superstars will join one team. If 90’s players were playing in this era then reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, and Patrick Ewing would be on the same team
I think Luka's so good that it's super tempting to let him do all the scoring or playmaking, but I think to make the jump he needs to play in a system that spreads the ball around more.

@@draven4883 I think he showed in euroleague that he absolutely can play in a system like that, so I'm not sure why he won't at least try to make that work with cwood and the current team. I mean don't get me wrong, when he's hot it would be dumb as fuck to not run every play through him, but in games like the thunder one it was just brutal. Hopefully Kidd can figure out how to get his off ball game running in the league.

Also, we have seen improvement already this year. New skills he added he does often now like the fadeaway. He just needs a better team and you will also see he will play significantly better (he would get more assists for sure!)

Nice video again, thank you. It's statisticly very nicely done, but it's hard to say "best" if you put the context into account. Lebron and Luka were given the keys and full control of the ball on every play from day 1 in the league. Of course in these conditions they will have better chances to perform and post huge stats. Kobe obviously had 2 years coming from the bench and was behind Shaq after that in the hierarchy. Magic had Jabbar too, what would be his stats without another great star ? Another thing is that age is less important than experience, having 3-4 years experience in NBA at 22 or being rookie is definitely different. Would be more interesting to check who is the best player after X years in NBA I think. Still good video as usual, keep doing this man, it's great to watch !

I mean that is true but he is talking about players time in the nba, so that time for Luka is technically irrelevant lol like he didn’t bring up any of the other NBA player’s college years 🤷🏻♂️ I mean I know that technically isn’t the same but it wouldn’t be fair to include international numbers when talking about NBA performance. Please don’t take this as me shitting on you I definitely am one of many who believe Luka will be one of those once in a generation talents

@@joshuaebel7096 in the nba hall of fame, it includes international numbers and awards before the NBA, and the euroleague - isn't college, it's a professional basketball league. Lebron's highschool - isn't a professional basketball league. This isn't a fair comparison.

You should use per 100 or 75 possession stats instead of straight stats so that pace does not play a huge role in how good a players stats look. Also you should use stats like bpm, pipm, and other impact metrics to better show how impactful a player is.

It was like that the entire series. It was basically just Doncic doing the heavy lifting and Tim Hardaway Jr helping every so often. If Hardaway had a bad game, they lost. Well, except for one game where Doncic sprained his neck as they simply lost that game.
And crazy enough there’s still people bad mouthing him because of his 4th quarter play

12:58 in his second season Shaq was putting up 29 13 and 3 and finished 4th in MVP voting. Uhhh Luka also averaged 29 ppg with 9 reb and 9 ast a game and finished 4th in MVP in his second year as well.

@@Jayisaiah in the 1994-95 playoffs shaq averaged 25 12 with 3.3 ast and 3.5 turnovers( that's really high turnover/assist ratio) on 57% from the field which is really good. But luka had 35 10 and 9 with also only 3.5 turnovers. On 49% and 40% shooting splits. That's a bigger impact with teammates that are worse. I'm not saying shaq had no comp, he did but he had other guys on the team that were better than any of lukas teammates this playoff run.
