You're right about the Vermeil point. Soon into the beginning of his coaching tenure the players met with Vermeil and told him at the time to back off of and take it a little easier on everyone. This strategy worked and Vermeil probably thought that he could walk away after winning and feel good about everything. As opposed to when he coached the Eagles and left when he was mentally and physically exhausted.

Perseverance, persistence, grit! What an example for younger generations. Not all kids will be football players and that is very important to recognize for kids AND parents. But what he is saying there applies to ANY profession. There will always be that guy who goes before you, who went to the better school, who gets the chance first… always! But if you know your worth at your trade, then find a different route, find the opportunity and then perform and show what you can do; success will follow

Unfortunately for Kurt, when the Rams won that first Super Bowl, Dick Vermeil retired, Mike Martz, the OC, took over and the team lost all of their momentum; that great team chemistry dissolved. But the way Kurt hit all those Rams wide receivers (in full stride) with all of those long bombs, was magic! Joe did it with Jerry Rice but their offense wasn't designed for that. I'd take Kurt over Brent Favre, Ty Detmer and Mark Brunnell, any day.

Good or bad…they still happen for a reason 😮. Its a play on math. Dude deals drugs…ends up in jail…But why was he selling drug? Sure there’s a reason for that too. Girl kicks ass and gets great grades and gets a full ride to college. Dude drinks heavy and then decides to drive and kills someone. Not much sense in a lot of the reasonings of course but EVERYTHING happens for a reason. Like sports, its all math my man. Try your best to make it favorable to you.
