How deterministic are certain aspects of personality, though? And to what extent can you reliably chalk up personality shortcomings to fundamental personality traits, rather than problematic beliefs you formed early in life? If you really are "wired up that way," sure, definitely pick somewhere where you fit in the best from the start - but is there no merit in doing things you find challenging in order to improve yourself?

suggestion: maybe he is trying to say that ability is flexible but personality is not. maybe you can act as an extrevert, but the deep truth will always be that you are an itrevert. personally i think that you can become great at anything. everyone can deal with stress if they really want to/if they are in the right mindset/if they are trying. its all about your will, isn't it? that what will make you disiplined and great at something.

Dr. Peterson, 100% correct. Currently, I work in a place that even my manager knows I am a lot smarter than him and better at my job. I know I am in a job that I like and good at, but this situation causes jealousy and hostility towards me . I don't like leave my job, but already started looking for a different job.

Many people, including executives at the C-suite (CEO; CFO; COO), professionals like doctors, and lawyers, entrepreneurs, tradespeople and commissioned sales people. There are certain jobs where you work: i) as much as needed to keep the business running or to meet the expectations of your customer/client; ii) as much as you can when you can because you don't know when the next job is coming; and/or iii) as much as you can because you are paid by how much you produce/sell.

Lol 40 is nothing. Lazy and stupid people only work that. I work a 40 hour first job, do 15 hours of dialysis, work a 4 hour second job, and still run my own repair business (about 25 - 30 more hours) a week. And honestly I only work the job because it's constant physical exercise.
