There's something great out there yet to be discovered and I want to find what it is. I'm 23 yrs old now I'm lost in life but I've finally found what it is that I want with my life. It's adventure and coming across this video today has inspired me even more.

I am sitting in my office cabin, and this made me rethink my life!

I applaud people like this. Having a dream and then turning it into a reality.

My biggest dream is to explore new places in the world with National Geographic!

If I could go back to high school (2013), I would've triple down on becoming a filmmaker/adventurer. I would've got a couple jobs to pay for gear, cheap tickets to explore some countries, and document my journey on KZread.

what a wonderful thing it would be to make life an adventure and travel the world.

"Live life on your own terms." Those are the key words here, don't listen to anybody who tells you to do it differently for whatever B U L L S H I T.

At this point in my life I'm finding random jobs to earn money so I can adventure. I completed the AT (2189.1 miles) southbound last month and am going to do the PCT in 2017 April whether I have money or a means for it. I've done a lot of adventuring prior and want to inspire others and to push the boundaries continually. I have to continue my adventuring bloodline that people like Peter Freuchen have given me. Once you get a taste of living than nothing else matters. I too am working towards one day getting recognition for sea faring, hiking, and mountain climbing. I've lost all my friends, my job, and my comforts in order to pursue this dream. Maybe one day I can earn enough of a name to work for Nat Geo.You do not live unless you risk your life. When you let go of yourself is when you gain the world!

An absolute dream job.

Travellers and adventurer’s are different. Travellers do it for the experience and the stories. Adventurers do it for pure ambition. We don’t need to go long distances to have an adventure we can’t find adventures in our own towns and cities. They include regular people. You go out not looking for an adventure and you get one anyway. That’s different from a traveller.

I wanna join their community and now!! Where can i find their videos and stuff that they post?!!

My heart longed for traveling and adventure when I played Lara Croft for the first time. I always wanted to do that. So instead of mourning that I don’t have heaps of funds to travel around the world I just take mini boat rides to islands and pretend I’m going to an adventure

Im here cause I actually want to start a youtube channel where me and my friends would travel and start an adventure. Me the brains I'm like a little biologist and I want to bring a chef with me who could prepare food from scratch and I have two friends trained in combat incase we get in some kind of trouble (I'm trained in parkour and breakdancing so I'm just good for escaping) . would people watch this on youtube?

It's got to be financially viable. My Uncle was a great Adventurer. I had 7 uncles only 2 are alive now. I won't tell you the business plan. It's great to be on a team, for an adventure. If, a person can have an adventure. That's financially viable. The adventures, go on and on. It's easy to get suffocated by laws. And paperwork. I had lots of adventures. They don't have to be extreme, or illegal. Because, if it's extreme. It's likely, that an injury might happen. If it's illegal or creepy. The Police won't leave a person alone. Some folks get injured alone. Some folks get injured in a team. I recommend a team, with a mixture of skills. Ideally. It can be a family adventure. With men and women. Too often it was 20 strong men! With me. But the best adventure, that's sustainable. Is those free time adventures. If only we can make them profitable?

I want to become an explorer or an adventurer when I grow up

I have lived many adventures without ever knowing it, but when I sit back and think on it I realize... Holy CRAP! That WAS an adventure! I DID those things! I've BEEN to those places! For example by the time I hit middle school I had been in EVERY SINGLE State West of the Mississippi and 2 Countries besides the US. I lived in many of them. At the time I rolled my eyes and thought "Whatever, when are we moving again" but now, when I'm 40 years old, I can look back and say "Holy smokes! Hardly anyone else my age could have said such a thing". I've been to Bosnia and looked through castles, I've been to Babylon, and I have been within spitting distance of where the Bible says the Garden of Eden was. It doesn't matter whether it ever actually existed or not, the fact that I was RIGHT THERE is what matters. I've been there. I've gone through having to relearn how to walk after being ran over by a car when I was a kid which taught me the greatest lesson I have ever learned: NEVER GIVE UP! EVER! Now I'm 40 years old, disabled, and when I look back and look at the scars I have earned... Yes, earned. I look at them and say "I have lived". It's OK that I am disabled today. It's not fun but it's OK. I have lived. I hope my children LIVE their lives too!

+Josie Hill Don't let your family dictate your life. YOU live your life. It's not THEIR life to live. YES, you should get an education. YES, you should learn to pay your bills, taxes, everything "normal" people do. But if adventuring is your dream, and you have a passion for some aspect of it, then follow it. Don't be an 80 year old man watching other people out exploring something and say "I wish I'd have done that". BE what it is you want to be, and don't let others deter you. If you are still young and living at home, then use the time to prepare for such a life. Push hard in school so that your MIND can handle the rigors of an adventurous future. You will have puzzle and problems to solve and the mind is your strongest asset, so develop it. Get physically in shape and learn outdoor skills. Learn basic survival and DO IT REGULARLY. If it's 2nd nature to build a fire and make a camp, then it will not be a big deal when you have to do it under undesirable, uncomfortable conditions. Learn History and take it seriously, many places you go will require some knowledge of it's history if you are exploring. Find your passion and become an expert in it.

:) If I'd listened to my family when I was growing up, I'd be homeless or dead I think. I was worthless, never going to do anything with my life, etc. They wanted me to do what they wanted me to do, and I just didn't fit their little mold. I fit mine. And you know what? I went places they never dreamed of going, met people they'd never have met, and on several occasions had the shit scared out of me. Now I look back and don't have to wish I'd done something out of the ordinary, because I've done them. I'll do more if my life leads me to it. My wife has talked about going to Israel, well I say let's go then! Let's go find what she wants to find, whatever that may be. Maybe she can write about it, take pictures, come home with something spectacular. All it takes is her perspective. And that's what I think all young people should do. We are on this earth to thrive! So find your passion and follow it! Make history!
