A typical shift looks like: Making drinks and taking orders on drive threw all while talking to the guy at the window. Grinding beans to make house coffee. restocking condiment station. restocking milks. Food. Making whipcream charges. Replenishing syrups including skinny mocha. Brewing cold brew. Dishes. sweaping and mopping House floors, back of house floors, bathroom floors in between a large mass of customers. Making caramel drizzles. trash. setting up half and half for the condiment station. stock lids and straws. and ect. lol

I work at Starbucks! It is hard work, like any job, but I find that if you’re nice to customers they’ll be nice to you. It’s real fun to interact with your customers too, kids think it’s amazing how you work “all the machines” lol.Good luck girl! 😊

People arn't so understanding. You just don't get the stress of having a line of people at the register and a line of people waiting in drive through and front bar because everyone is ordering DIFFERENT Frappucinos. Also, our store is 8 years old. We're also a very high volume store, the only Starbucks within 10 miles of our main Air Port in Houston. Since our store is so old, sometimes our bars break. Many shifts have we worked with 1 bar dealing with peak. But I still love my job.

The problem with working at starbucks is that learning all the recipes is really hard and the people who have been there for years dont remember what it was like learning the gillions of drinks there are so they don't sympathize with you when you ask how a flat white is done for 6th time. On top of all these combinations, I'm known as a super forgetful person so it takes a while for me to get used to it. My coworkers get mad at me for not knowing how to do things but man Im trying

That's incorrect. We hire people who will fit with the current partners and are able to provide the Starbucks experience. We do not judge based on appearance, sex, race, religion, sexual orientation etc. Maybe that store isn't hiring. There are many locations around - again apply online and you can send your resume to multiple stores at a time

I applied to Starbucks and I'm just trying to understand how the environment is because in all honesty, I just order Frappuccinos ;--; I haven't ordered other coffee drinks there. I'm nervous and remembering orders would be a pain.

I recommend for new people to pull the trigger on the whipped cream towards the sink before cleaning because it definitely prevents accidents!

I just started working at a Starbucks inside of target and so far I love we get paid more then the minimum wage for an actual Starbucks and get 2 15 minute breaks and a 45 minute lunch! So really I'm not complaining the longest the line has gotten is like 6 people, also loved the video it's was so cute and relatable lol

Is it hard to memorize all the drinks?

Starbucks just took email customer service jobs away from U.S. agents and gave them to agents in Nicaragua using an outsourcing agency to do it so they would not have to be held accountable. AND they knew about it for months but when they finally brought down the ax (the outsourcing agency), they gave the agents 2 days to sign a mandatory document accepting or declining a phone job in replace of email job. Many of us know through the grape vine this is smoke and mirrors to make it look like they care, but we know that the phone job they are offering is slowly being robbed from us as well as those agents are being given mandatory and voluntary time off right now. The document they gave us just 2 days to sign was, no doubt, to save them from a higher unemployment tax rate. Unfortunately, most of the agents signed it not knowing any better and Starbucks and the outsourcing agency are just hoping that we all obey like good little sheep and stay quiet and potentially just quit. This was not just a lay off. This was Starbucks literally taking our jobs and giving them to someone overseas to save a buck. Ah yes, Starbucks, they are always preaching just how much they care about people. NO, they care about the almighty dollar and the bottom line. The whole "caring thing" has always just been an act - a marketing ploy.

Pretty neat, but just a couple tips: you prob don't need the music, your lip sync is a little off, try to make the video come after the audio, because science or some crap, and raise your target audience to more teens, less of what appears to be your target audience of like pre-middle school kids, not enough of them looking at small channels. Fatal Kira I just helped to open a new store, I think I served over 1000 customers today I've ever been so stressed. It can get very overwhelming, been working for a month now! Most Starbucks partners are great to work with so that helps but the job is very demanding and super stressful at times.
